I obviously do not know from experience, but I doubt players are just staying silent throughout the whole game or only saying "good ball" or "nice bat".
I should of clarified the word "taught". It was just a generalized word. We grow up learning trash talk by messing with our friends and during the heat of competition to play mind games with our opponent. Coaches definitely do not teach that for the most part, they try to enforce integrity in the game.

"Sledging" in cricket is common. Old Indian players used to get bullied all the time by foreigners, especially by Australians. I am happy the new Indians players learnt to give reply from mouth and from bat/ball as well. It happens usually because the team wants you to lose focus from the game. Bowlers also throw balls at you body or bounce it to the face to make you back out from playing well. 4:00 you are right.
Some People don't like kohli because of his attitude and aggression on field, they think his nature is like that but in reality off the field he is the coolest and very humble person .

The thing about Virat is that on field is the blazing fire ball, whether he's batting or fielding. But once the match is done, the game is over. His agression is like a switch which turns OFF (sometimes in IPL it'll take a moment or two but in international cricket it immediately does) and he turns to this calm statesmanesque spiritual guy, who'll talk to any player or any side that approaches him, will give tips, guidance, autograph, photo, whatever they ask for.
