The Datsun 1600 roadster has always been my favorite. Mine was a 1967 Datsun 1600 roadster and am looking for another , mine was red, and loved this car for 7 years. 👍👍👍👍
I have worked on and restored a lot of Datsun Roadsters for customers over the last 40+ years both stock and modified. I have to say that is one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen.

Chris is one of the nicest guys to chat to as well, super enthusiastic for his car and his Japanese Classics business. This car is something else as well, one of our favourite encounters from SEMA this year. Think it will be turning a few more people on to the awesomeness of the Datsun Roadster too. The yellow lights were used in rally racing to let other drivers know that a faster car was approaching to move over /yellow lights faster class
I don’t think thats right, racecars and rally cars have yellow lights because yellow light does not reflect on water or fog as much as a blue/white light does. Also yellow light is easier for our eyes to process providing better definition at night.
Weren't the yellow lights law/regulation in France once?

Man that thing is drop-dead gorgeous! Super clean lines and just phenomenal workmanship. I'd like to see it with the hardtop installed too. A removable roll-bar to go along with the shorty windscreen might be a nice touch? Either way this guy knows how to do it right and this car is proof. Not too much, just the right amount.

I bought a 1970 Datsun 2000 roadster when I returned from Vietnam in 1970. Best car i ever owned.
This gen of Japanese convertibles are just amazing. Would love to see this one day. I still have a lot to learn but wow I can tell the was a lot of hard work put into this.

I had a Datsun 2000 Fairlady Roadster in British racing green with a full roll cage and white hard top. Really fun car to drive. Had to do a lot of work to it. Pulled the motor with transmission so I could send the transmission out for rebuilding, then pulled the head off for servicing. That was back in the day you could actually do this stuff in your driveway. Anyway, most excellent build. Love the color and flaring. Those tail lights...!
