Copart UK Stolen Recovered. I Have Bought this Audi A4 B9 Avant S-Line S-Tronic TFSI from Copart UK as my new salvage car project. It is Category X / Cat X vehicle. Cat X is vehicle, which may or may not have any damage and has been paid off by insurance company as stolen vehicle. This Cat X appears to be HPI clear, which is benefit for me as its new owner.
This Audi A4 B9 came with slight damage. The MMI Screen Does Not Turn On and Stays Blank. VIN number on the chassis has been grinded off and needs restoration. Vin number behind windscreen is missing and needs new Vin number instalation.
MISSING/ALTERED VIN. VIN number missing from the vehicle or if the VIN has been altered or restamped in the vehicle.

The wiring you were showing in the boot is aftermarket sub and amp install, check your fuses because that prob where your prob lies with mmi and stereo

Hello. As I understand from the video, you changed the monitor from mib1 to mib2, without replacing the control unit and head unit. Is this how a monitor works?

That Wiring your looking at is an after market sub and amp wiring kit that could be what is causing your radio not to be working I've had this before and audis good luck and keep up the hard work 😎😎😎😎🤓🤓

Sometimes is nothing major to fix and saves all that work we have been doing on salvage cars..its just different arrangement. I think after doing full engine, suspension and everything else in my last project I needed something less involving.. 🤣

Surprising that the thieves didnt take lumps out of that car to search for a tracker.

Hi Thank you for showing us appreciate it. I have a question i understand the whole chassis number on the windscreen being used the most in terms of police checks and MOT checks. What about the VIN number on the CHASSIS body itself under the bonnet? is there a fix for that if its been altered? or does it not matter if the windscreen number is displayed correctly.

i,hi s a clone car leagally allowed to go on the road straight away? i bought a cloned car from a dealer on 31 jan 19 and he sold me it without replacing original vins back on car eg,windscreen,b piller sticker and floor stamp still in sutue from another st line focus.cat n.car stated on advert READY TO DRIVE AWAYi drove it away and when i got v5 back 3 weeks later and checked vins they were all cloned vins still in situe,took it to police to see it it was legal to be on the road and he said he had to deface illigal vins on car and for me to report car to crime investigation team at dvla asking if car was legally allowed to be driven on a public highway,they gave me a 14 day time to get original vins put back onto car if not i cannot drive it on public road or apply for another v5 until all work was carried out to make new the original vins?dealer was contacted at this time when he said he FORGOT TO CHANGE VINS B4 IT WENT OFF THE PLOT i took car to 5 ford dealers who could not repair all three vins only a b piller sticker.
i rejected car back to garage who wouldnt give me a refund thus its been going through the court system since 1st july 2019 and still not been to court,car was dropped off at dealers on 1st july and still there.they managed to replace all thee vins in october 2019 surely this time limit is excessive and courts will give me my monies back as car was not fit for purpose from day 1 even though it said vin tampered on invoice. will de interesting to me how you change vins back and when your car will be legally allowed on the road.i noticed you drove it on trade plates,is that the only was to drive the car at this moment in time until vins are made new?your input and information would be very interesting to hear for me and also the general public who buy such items.thanks in advance,PS WHAT DUTY OF CARE DOES A DEALER HAVE TO DO IN THIS SITUATION?

Just seen your message in full. From my understanding you got stolen recovered under catN with tampered vin. It would have to be swapped, otherwise there would be no way to tax or mot it...Good news is dealer will need to carry all the work or refund in full for the vehicle since was consealed information. Bad news is all the time it takes. Keep us posted how it resolves.

I was watching this car go through copart and you paid a astronomical amount for it ....surely you didn't buy it to make a profit on it
Its a straight wicked car with nothing wrong..its been sold to me below its retail value and even if I was to keep it for a year as my own, I will be getting profit at the end. Unlike people who buy cars for 10k on year one and on year 2 sell them for 6k ..i don't do that, that is why is show people how to save up buying different type of cars, not only cat n and s..

You've saved barely but in my opinion not worth the risk and when it comes to resale it's gonna be hassle explaining to the new owner the history of the car when there is plenty of clean examples out there

@@asaautomotive2764 Nope buddy, we got vin number etched back for less then 20quit :) MMI back for less then £30. All will be in next videos. Every stollen recovered I have ever had was quickest flip for me.
