Bryan D Not really. Looks are subjective so I’ll give you that, but it’s a strong Pokémon. Water/Steel is a fantastic typing. You’re weak to fighting, ground and electric. You resist literally everything else except grass and fire are neutral and you’re immune to poison. He’s such a bulky boy.
Same with Magnezone. I know it's technically a Gen 4, but Magnemite and Magneton are from Gen 1 and got their steel typing in Gen 2 when it was introduced.
It’s funny that no one notes how its design evokes a Tokusatsu character. The first time I saw him, I said he looks like a Power Ranger, and so this guy kind of notes a Kamen Rider.
i searched online to see why lucario is a steel type and i found out it's because In the Pokemon world, all living things have aura in them, but Lucario's body is like a lightning rod for it, drawing into its body and flowing through it like crazy, giving it the unique Aura manipulation and sensing abilities it's known for. This is why Lucario is a steel type and categorized as THE Aura Pokemon. just thought this would be helpful for you
As the gen that introduced the steel type, gen 2 had some of the most amazing and iconic steel types there are: skarmory, steelix, scizor and the underrated foretress which I find to be with a solid and interesting design
Mawhile on number 10 proves they don't understand anything about Pokémon. Mawhile is easily one of the worst steel type Pokémon. It's stats are trash. But, given the rest of the list, that is not surprising. No Impoleon, Magnezone only a honorable mention, Metagross and Aegislash being in the wrong place, Corviknight only a honorable mention as well...
Bastiodon, Escavalier, Klinklang, Empoleon, Dialga, Solgaleo, Alolan Sandslash and Ferroseed should also be honorable mentions as well on this Best Steel Type Pokémon List of all Time Too!

Fairy type was added in 6th gen and mauwile gained it in 6th gen as well. Scizor already has the option of having Technician before Mega Evolving. No.1 is deserved although would switch the places for many, my favs are, Excadrill, Scizor, Bisharp, Aegislash, Metagross, Lucario, Magnazone,,Corviknight Dialga, Steelix

I get that Lucario is part Steel, but maybe the Top 10 should be focusing more on the primary Steel typings since Lucario is mainly known for its fighting typing instead. Think of it this way, are you also going to put Lucario at #1 for a top 10 Fighting-type list?
In response to Mawile's entry, it was X and Y's release that buffed it with the Fairy typing, not Sun & Moon. Also, you forgot at least one of the "OG Steel-types" when you mentioned that in #4. Forretress hadn't been mentioned up to that point, and it was around in Gen 2, along with the Magnemite line.
Lucario is one of my favorite steel-type pokemon. How much this pokemon got the skills, endurance, spiritual power, and strength making this pokemon one of the best fighting slash steel type pokemon. But once it mega evolves, you'll see its increased strength, speed, and power. I'm so glad Ash finally got one after so many years.
I have A Steal Type Pokémon. Haven’t thought of the name, but it’s really cool. It’s a Russian Bear Dog, the biggest dog in the world, in my opinion, that stands on its two back legs with Titanium Chains that are ten miles long. It is considered as the legendary guardian Pokémon that guards Armornite, a stone that gives your Pokémon armor, which increases the attack, defense, and speed of the Pokémon, and every single Pokémon can use the Armornite. It only gives trainers armornite if they have really earned its respect.
My favorite steel type is Aegislash. I would say do a ghost type list. (Or a grass type list. When I usually think about Pokémon types. I focus more so on the type being pure or primary.) But I fear Trevenant won’t be on it. Not only is Trevenant my favorite ghost type... Trevenant is my favorite pokémon of all.

Jirachi is supposed to resemble a star that grants any wish the owner has. So being a Steel/Psychic type, as in "a unknown object/metal flying through space that grants wishes through supernatural means"..... yeah makes sense.
