I need a Varla Pegasus lol!! 🚂📹🛴🤩 Absolutely epic video! I'm glad they extended the run on the F units so you could get down there for them. Reading & Northern is THE BEST and that engineer was probably having as much fun as you were. Cool to see our good friend Bill on the train as well!
I had a plan and I made it happen and it was the most fun I had chasing a train. Certainly wont be my last time either. Thanks for all the info you shared prior to me doing this

I love, love your train videos and this one is especially awesome. My husband was a huge train guy…into model railroading, he and his friend had a traveling layout they displayed for over 15 years. When our grandkids were small, for a special treat, we would take them on train rides…WI (where we’re from), MN & IL. Our dream was to travel by rail in our retirement. Thanks for bringing back wonderful memories!

The Real Owner and Operator who kept Jim Thorpe Railroad Tourist line alive was none other Family Friend George Michener Hart which passed away in 2008 at 89 Years old. He was the main President of Strasburg Railroad in Lancaster Pennsylvania for over 30 years and was Responsible for 90% of Strasburg Museum Steam Locomotives being preserved there. If you ever wondered where Strasburg #90 2-10-0 Decapod Steam Locomotive came from well George knows as he's the one the originally bought it. George use to live on site at Jim Thorpe all the way up to his death, there are Humors of employees seeing him still on the Railroad to this day. George was known as a Legend in the Pennsylvania railroading History. Jim Thorpe Railroad Tourist line opened in 1971 until 2004 under the command of George. In the August of 2020 Reading and Northern took over Jim Thorpe Tourist Line Railroad. Please look up about George Michener Hart and all his Achievements with American Railroading as it will shine some light on railroading history as never seen before.

Too cool! To me, that is what a diesel locomotive should look like. It is what I grew up seeing in the 50's and 60's.

you recorded that on a death cycle! wow! great video..... small radius equals face plant.
Thankfully the 3 inch wide tires make it ride-able on surfaces like that one.

It was questionable about how it would turn out, but I'm happy with the results. And yes, never enough horn action.
going 25 on that trail with solid pop can sized wheels is the dicy part. not the trail itself
that was a lot of fun chasing a train. I used to try it in a car.
I live 1/2 hour from Jim Thorpe but never rode the train…… this sparked my interest for sure and nice video
It runs 3 times a day, 7 days a week. I highly recommend it.
