Carrying Drums on NYC Subway - The Making of a NEW ALBUM!

About a week ago I had my last drum recording session for a new album I’m working on. It’s all brand new original songs, they were all composed one or three days before each session (12 songs, 9 sessions within 3 months) with no time to rehearse, although each first take would always provide me some familiarity with the tunes… it’s quite a different world sitting down and play your own compositions, and quite challenging to do it on the first or second take 100% right, but I managed to play through all of them so that’s a good sign.
This is me commuting to the last recording session at Power Station.
It was an early Sunday morning, very relaxing commute to be honest. This is the shortest trajectory I’ve done, taking the Q train from 86th St. to 57th St.. Most of the time I have to do it from 86th St. in Manhattan to Jay St. MetroTech in Brooklyn to record at Clive Davis’ studios (NYU), which takes about 48 minutes to get there. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the footage and stay tuned for some good music. I’ll be sharing some more within the next few weeks!

Good to share this video as I cannot imagine how percussionist would transport their instruments through train and station to station. Looks like you are entering the Hogworts Train. More music and videos please. Congratulations on this projects for a new album.
