  • In this video, Chuck shows us how to make a convenient leather hip pouch! This pouch looks great, is located out of the way and gives you easy access to all your essentials. Plus, the brown pebble grain leather gives this pouch a rugged look that adds visual interest to any outfit or costume.

    I have a LVAD and the bag is a cross body bag. It weighs about 14 pounds and is hard on my neck. This gives me some great ideas t make a different bag. Thank you.

    Good overall design but I would have made the open pocket top piece a little larger at the opening so it pops open for no look retrieval.

    Question: where would you place a D for keys, or do you think that the O ring will be ok, not to much wear to the strap?
    Thank you, will try one of these for work.

    So to sew leather a walking foot is required on a machine.

Cordialement

    I like the design but the pattern pieces do not work together as is. If you compare the shape of the pattern piece 2 with the zipper to what was created in the video it is not the same. Be aware before you start cutting your leather. Piece 2 will not fit as is.

      Yes, I noticed the same thing. I went back and checked printed dimensions and measured to make sure printout was correct. It was all correct - pattern piece 2 is too large to fit on piece 1. Fortunately it is too large instead of too small - so at least I can cut down piece 2 to fit appropriately.

    It never dawned on me that I can just rip my tape…. I seriously thought it would just mess up and have been carefully cutting it with a razor.
    Not any more

    so no need to bevel and burnish the edges?

    • @plumhtv3891

      If you don't want to do it, it's ok : the bag will still work. But it will look less professional.
      Always do it 😊

    • @plumhtv3891
      @plumhtv3891 ปีที่แล้ว

       @david frank It's about aesthetic and edges are not "sharp" anymore so comfort too (especially if this edges goes into a crease, for example, it could hurt with time !^^)
