Very good videos your like a brutish version of the gunman! Genuine question what’s the reason you don’t wet the floor? I find it I didn’t wet mine I would have dust issues?
The few times I have I’ve always accidentally flicked water off the floor onto the car so instead before I roll the car in the booth i airline the floor off into the filters with the booth running to get rid of as much excess dust as I can mate

Hi Mike such kind words there mate and sounds like an awesome project you’ve got on the go too , hope the videos have helped you somewhat with your project mate and really hope it turns out nice for you
Hey I got some of that Kapci clear flows like glass. easy to spray. The only thing I found is that it likes when you use a clear blender underneath on a blend panel. So like a intercoat clear under it keeps it from fisheye. otherwise it does some strange stuff when over sanded clear. I used Universal clear blend panel then painted the base over that which eliminates the sand scratches on the blend. WORKED FANTASTIC....sprayed it to perfect gloss very little cut and buff.

Nice to see you wearing a good headset with an air feed......no gloves is a mistake as your skin absorbs the 2K...pity. Love the minis...grew up on them with 1275 GT minis - lots of speed
Love your work Tony! How do you avoid orange peel when spraying 2k? Did my Europa some years back and need to do it again, any advice welcome. cheers Pete
Hiya Tony ! couple of things. As you know I'm respraying my Riley RMA . Stopped just before Xmas because it was too freekin cold in my garage. So, in my garage I have a humidity and temp gauge. At what point am I ok to start again? I think celly is 50% humidity and 50 deg temp but Im using 2k now ?? I have got one of those "little Devil" space heaters but again, Im not sure if they cause humidity?? The other thing is , watching you "tweeking your gun as you look at the fan pattern, what exactly are you looking at/for? I bought the FLG5 and its great but I would love to know what to look for ?? Cheers again mate...and Tony ..please look after yourself mate. take it easy pal !
I’d try and atleast wait till it’s say 10-15c ideally or above mate use fast hardener too that’ll help mate the space heater should be fine the humidity from that will be nothing compared to the heat it’ll pump out in my opinion but obv be carefull of exposed flames and fumes , the flg mate you can run full fan and at 2.0 bar air pressure 28-30psi as for fluid set it at day two turns out from fully closed , if it feels to wet shut the fluid off a tad if it feels to dry then add more fluid ect ect
@@TonysRefinishingTV thanks tony I’m at college taking the level 2 diploma course in body and paint , and with all the covid stuff at the moment the tips and advice are so informative.
Question for anyone.. his last wet on wet was reduced high build primer. I would be afraid of it being too thick of product with bulky bits in product makeup. Could he have used anything else. Thin epoxy ?
some high build can be thinned to use as wet on wet its the same viscosity when its thinned as normal wet on wet some epoxys you cant paint over too so you have to be careful what you choose
Would you recommend painting a classic in 2k letting it dry and then flatting it back. and hitting with some decent Laqure or pointless and just do it in base ?
Nice videos mate and glad to see your Chanel growing! As a relatively new painter into the trade it’s great to see and learn new ways and methods while brushing up on technical aspects

Great live chat last night as well mate and I was really made up for you for all the people online watching I think it got well over the 200 mark so that was great. Do you know if the Kapci 634 can be mixed as a WoW primer mate? I need to get something else to use for my wow maybe I'll try the Mipa if the Kapci is not a wow 👍
Not sure mate off the top of my head but if you ask Gavin in the group buddy he’ll know for sure bud or I can check the data sheet for you later if you like
Hey Tony, can I ask what temperature do you your booth set on in a cold January weather? Also do you recommend heating up the clear for better flow and prevent runs? Cheers.
So I have the booth set to 22.5c mate never really need it any higher , I don’t hear the clear or gloss up mate if it’s colder in the mixing room then I may leave it in the booth while I do prep or the base stage to let it come up to temp though
It wouldn’t look any different tbh but would cost alot more and the customer needed to keep to a a budget he also wants a daily driver not a concourse car so gloss made more sense
hope you all enjoy this weeks video only took three attempts to upload this lol

Minis are one of those respray jobs where your “practice panel” is often bigger than the actual car 🤣😂
Beautiful job you're doing there, I've only had a go at painting my plastic front bumper,on a vw golf 5.
Lc9x, i actually got the metallic bit's to show through after it was clear coated. Using rattle cans as well.
I did the whole bumper in two stages, different days, one 1k the other 2k clear coat.
The clear coat was so much better.
Thanks for the videos.
Awesome mate glad your project turned out well
Tony always delivers to his clients that car looks killer 🔪
We always try our best mate
Great video mate....car looks beautiful
Hey buddy nice to see you on the comments mate and thanks fella
Fabulous finish 👍👏👏
Thanks mark
hello, great work what camera/Lens/Mic do u use? very good quality
I use a go pro hero 8 for some work , a Sony zv1 , sarmonic wireless microphones and a hand held stabilising gimbal and a 4K DJI drone buddy plus a blue yeti x voice over microphone
@@TonysRefinishingTV oh wow i really have a eye on the ZV1 and i`m supprised you use it. I think the very well lit Spraybooth makes the Quality pop :) thanks for the answer. Very good work :)
for the clip starting at 28:23 did u used the Gimbal for example?
It’s one of the best TH-cam / blog cameras there is mate it takes me around £5k in kit inc my computer setup to make these videos how I do
@@Lukas_Schaefer don’t think I did that day mate but usually yes the gimball alone was £250 just helps get real nice smooth shots
Awesome as always mate!
Thanks Matthew
Unreal job Tony , young lad myself using iwata ws it’s beautiful but I fancy that Walcom 😆 where did you get it from with the 1.2 as I can’t find anyone selling it ? Cheers
Spsupplies.co.Uk mate look at the base one it’s the same gun mate just labelled as a base that’s all but it’s got the option for a 1.2 use my code too Tony5 for 5% off
@@TonysRefinishingTV cheers mate have messaged them as they are out of stock with it but should hope to hear soon
Nice to see you wearing a good headset with an air feed......no gloves is a mistake as your skin absorbs the 2K...pity. Love the minis...grew up on them with 1275 GT minis - lots of speed
I’ve got gloves back in stock now mate so don’t worry
As a person that has never sprayed a car what are the measurements on that pot and what do they mean cheers fella
Hi Tony
I can't seem to find anyone selling the Kapci 2k gloss?
Need frozen white.
Sp supplies do mate
Love your work Tony! How do you avoid orange peel when spraying 2k? Did my Europa some years back and need to do it again, any advice welcome. cheers Pete
You need to approach it like clear mate tbh is the best way I can say nice wet even coats
Nice job Tony, end result is stuning bro 👌🏻
Thanks man tried my best lol
Nice thorough blow off & tack in between w.o.w & topcoat. 😉👍
Thanks buddy
Great video Tony man... Catching up mate 👆👍 peace out. B
Haha awesome buddy great to see you here man
Hiya Tony ! couple of things.
Did you spray the rear valence and the sills on the mini Tony?
There getting done seperate mate as I wants stone chip them and it’s easier on stands
There is no dry time between coats? Any die back or gloss fade afterwards. This is single stage and not to be cleared I assume.Thx
yes theres dry time between coats around 10 min oer coat once the coats done, no dry back or gloss fade after and yes its single stage
@@TonysRefinishingTV thanks Tony..Looks like a nice product.
Very nice finish seems to be a great product who makes it please? I’ve got a Vespa to spray
Kapci mate if you message my sponsors on Facebook I’m sure they can mix and supply some for you
@@TonysRefinishingTV thanks tony I’m at college taking the level 2 diploma course in body and paint , and with all the covid stuff at the moment the tips and advice are so informative.
Appreciate that mate
Question for anyone.. his last wet on wet was reduced high build primer. I would be afraid of it being too thick of product with bulky bits in product makeup. Could he have used anything else. Thin epoxy ?
some high build can be thinned to use as wet on wet its the same viscosity when its thinned as normal wet on wet some epoxys you cant paint over too so you have to be careful what you choose
Would you recommend painting a classic in 2k letting it dry and then flatting it back. and hitting with some decent Laqure or pointless and just do it in base ?
you could just finish the last coat of gloss let it flash and then hit it with a coat of clear for abit of added protection mate we often do
awesome video Tony
Thanks man
nice job cool ultamarin +
Thanks bud
how long do you have to wait between coats please.
So you are fine with topcoat over smooth sanded epoxy? I usually put wet on wet over epoxy but might not be needed?
no you should prime over epoxy
Nice videos mate and glad to see your Chanel growing! As a relatively new painter into the trade it’s great to see and learn new ways and methods while brushing up on technical aspects
Thanks man and that’s why I started and will continue the channel to do just that mate
@@TonysRefinishingTV I’ve only ever used satas for every aspect of painting but what do you think to the ls and ws400s please?I am currently in the accident repair sector
Absolutely love them tbh mate two of my all time favourites esp the ws400
Hey Tony, thanks for doing this video for us and getting it all filmed, edited and uploaded so quickly for us to watch it last night, I know it was a bit touch and go if the video would be ready on time 👏👏
What can I say mate, it was a fantastic video and very detailed as you took us through both the WoW primer showing us how you did it then the 2K Gloss work which came out great and for your first time using it I think it looked spot on.
Not sure mate off the top of my head but if you ask Gavin in the group buddy he’ll know for sure bud or I can check the data sheet for you later if you like
Nah no worries mate just thought I would ask you first in case you knew, I'll ask Gav and see what he says, cheers 👍
What ball park price does a bare metal respray like this cost? I have a renault 5 gt turbo that needs a paint thanks
On one of those mate min £3k
Hey Tony, can I ask what temperature do you your booth set on in a cold January weather? Also do you recommend heating up the clear for better flow and prevent runs? Cheers.
So I have the booth set to 22.5c mate never really need it any higher , I don’t hear the clear or gloss up mate if it’s colder in the mixing room then I may leave it in the booth while I do prep or the base stage to let it come up to temp though
@@TonysRefinishingTV Cheers mate, wishing a happy new year and hope times get better business wise and health also
Thanks man they will mate just one last big push needed atm that’s all
excelant job loved these useful vids
Thanks 🙏
Awesome job slow hand
Haha thanks mate
Quick question, after putting so much work on the car, why not use clear over base? I'm sure it would have looked better
It wouldn’t look any different tbh but would cost alot more and the customer needed to keep to a a budget he also wants a daily driver not a concourse car so gloss made more sense
Base/clear doesn’t look right to me on some classic cars. But then I’m an old guy.
@@TonysRefinishingTV i understand. Fantastic job, nonetheless!
Brilliant .... highly recommed
Thanks fella
