My father died by his own hand in 2015 and Judas Priest was his favorite band of all time. I’ve sat in silent contemplation to this song many a night. The solo never ceases to send shivers down my spine. Miss you Dad. Priest Forever
I can't imagine listening to this song after losing your Dad in that way. The song itself, let alone Tipton's lead break/solo in the middle, is SO EMOTIONAL. I can barely keep it together myself listening to this song and I haven't even lost my Dad yet. My heart goes out to you, man, and I hope you have found comfort and solace for your loss. 🙏 🤘🎸
I don't care what anyone says that performance was about as professional as it gets, it just goes to show the level these guys are at. No computerized sound system just pure old school talent, other so called rock bands should take note.
This is the best version. Vocalist and band are fantastic !! These guitar solos and the whole arrangement of the song were beyond good! listening here from Brazil, for the thousandth time to this masterpiece of heavy metal !!
this is most defently without a doubt one of the best guitar solos of rock and roll. period. Very melodic and ranges are transportive like it is going somewhere, and then keeps going , thats what music is all about.
You can really hear the quality of Glenn Tipton's work in this song and together with the blazing quick fingers of KK, they rocked and this is a great example of why I have been a fan since hearing stained class when it was released in 78. Really wished that I could have seen this tour when they came to Phoenix but unfortunately missed it
Judas "fucking" Priest is teaching us and to all of these new "bands" how to compose, sing and to play very, very well. Congratulations Rob and mates!!! You are the best of the best in the Heavy Metal Road since 70´s. Heavy Metal will never die in our hearts.
I mean, Mustaine and Friedman are a little different since Mustaine is more of a rhythm player. If you're just talking solos, KK and Glenn are indeed the best probably, but Mustaine and Friedman is pretty untouchable for riffs plus solos.
@@maxdurk4624a rhythm player sure... But on the 5 magics solo????? There's a reason why McIver put Mustaine at No. 1. He did everything... The two guys TOO GOOD for Metallica: Dave Mustaine Les Claypool Prove me wrong...
saw these guys many times over the years but last time was 2015 with steel panther at foxwoods.....kk was already retired and glenn was on the verge of retiring. they killed it. God bless one of the greatest bands ever
back in 77 ,got the vinyl home ,imagine the first time .knew from that day on this was a classic and 32 years on still beats the crap out any would be metal bands just playing at it.
@qinmoy first time i heard it i threw my head back and closed my eyes just out of the raw emotion in the notes.fortunately i wasn't driving at the time.
A point that everyone seems to have missed in the comments. Check KK’s solo at the end. Never mind your ears and use your eyes. Yes children, he’s playing a scalloped fretboard. Now, who else plays one of those? Mr Blackmore. Case closed. KK’s a genius.
Still get goose fuckin pimples from that performance!!! That is how METAL should be fucking played!!! Im 48 yrs old and still love this shit better than anything out there right now, and I am still heavily into the metak scene.
This is one of the Top 5 songs in the history of the world and man...Halford is truely one of the 5 greatest singers! along With Bruce Dickinson, Ian GIllan. Ronnie James Dio, and Geoff tate
This song seriously has one of the most heart felt solos ever!!! It freaking rocks!
It's the greatest metal solo of ALL TIME. Period. All Guns Blazing is a very close second!
I remember when I had seen them in Greece, I could not stand but cry throughout the solo..:)
I think Dreamer Deciver was their best in my opinion
+MidnightSin love that song
ME TOO. deceiver and dreamer deceiver
Glenn Tipton is the most underrated guitarist
Don't know about that, he's regarded as one of the best to ever do it and always gets his dues in lists of greatest guitarists
@@MrHeavyMetal93 great duet guitars in history .
Agreed!! No one plays this song, like he did and I refuse to listen to Judas Priest since he left.
By who? He’s a legend.
Totaly. Make me cry with mega power solos. I love this energi sonorous make real is time now
KK's solo at the end of this song is always criminally overlooked
KK shreds, but Glen "sings" with the guitar!

Indeed this is CLASS.That solo elevates your soul.
Such an underrated version of this song. I think Rob does an amazing job with the vocals at a lower pitch.
he studied opera before his rock and roll days, and has a 6 octive range. perfect pitch they call it.
Not underated at all the top notch 😈🤘🔥
Scott Travis is showing no mercy to that drum kit. Very good drummer.
This is the best version. Vocalist and band are fantastic !! These guitar solos and the whole arrangement of the song were beyond good! listening here from Brazil, for the thousandth time to this masterpiece of heavy metal !!
Glenn is a master guitarist!
This solo is just beautiful one of my favorite solo's of all time right next to the solo from Comfortably Numb
GrayWoIf 2nd solo from Comfortably Numb, is THE 1, in my opinion.
+david whitehouse Bohemian Rhapsody is just as good if not better.
this is most defently without a doubt one of the best guitar solos of rock and roll. period. Very melodic and ranges are transportive like it is going somewhere, and then keeps going , thats what music is all about.
Another great solo from Glen is in the song Touch of Evil.
Charudatta Munde I wouldn’t even put that song’s solo in the same sentence as this and Comfortably Numb...
hell yeah Glen Tipton, one of my guitar gods :)
KK's solo at the end of this song is one of the greatest solo's ever!
on a scalloped neck no less..just noticed that
You can really hear the quality of Glenn Tipton's work in this song and together with the blazing quick fingers of KK, they rocked and this is a great example of why I have been a fan since hearing stained class when it was released in 78. Perfect marriage of technique and FEEL. Gone are the days.
Finest solo guitar ever imo.

2:09 He's still got it!
The most awesome of all performances period.
I was there. It was the last night of the tour in Japan. Despite a few shows in a row...Rob was incredible that night.
BEST LEAD SOLO EVER!! I love the feeling in his playing....He tells a great story!
ROCK ON!!
Best song, best live version. I must always cry when the solo starts. ❤️
im glad u added that "best guitar solo" pop up cuz ur totally right.

OMFG that was incredible.
When bands play like this, it's bad ass!
One word - AWESOME.
Glenn is a genious
best double axe attack all time... murray and smith are close... as are mustaine and friedman... but these two are the best
That ain't no 'web-of-lies' Spiderman!! These guys are the best!!
I thank God for all of them. HUGE impact and inspiration. Here is where I live.
I mean, Mustaine and Friedman are a little different since Mustaine is more of a rhythm player. If you're just talking solos, KK and Glenn are indeed the best probably, but Mustaine and Friedman is pretty untouchable for riffs plus solos.

someone in 2019 listening to this great classic
One can NEVER get tired of this video or song. Truly a Classic!
I want this song played at my funeral!

one of the finest achievements in music. KK's solo!! Cmon priest UK tour in 07.
3:05 that note is so beautifully unexpected
Slash from G 'n R took a lot of this solo and Glen Tipton Indeed.
the best all time Rock Ballad, big thank uqinmoy, awesome man
Why would Glenn change something that is already perfect!! This is one of the greatest songs ever written/performed!
back in 77 ,got the vinyl home ,imagine the first time .knew from that day on this was a classic and 32 years on still beats the crap out any would be metal bands just playing at it.

This is the ultimate solo. Even Kerry King says it's his inspiration.
I'd rival it personally with a touch of evil
