No, I didn't replace it. I kept the wheel because it's nice and usb c (so I can use it with any base). The downside is the led Rev strip doesn't work (but it never did with the pxn base either, I'll figure that out some other time. Get a Moza R9 or a simagic alpha mini for around the same price and have basically the same power if not more (with the alpha mini). They all use the same quick disconnect, you just have to be mindful of the power pins.
I wish I saw this sooner. Bought mine off ebay and only used it for three months before mine blew. Seriously disappointed as I really liked the torque. My V12 lite works fine, but I'm heavily considering moving to Simagic.
I wonder if this is common. I purchased a used PXN- V12DDS from Ebay, and it did not work. Got on their Discord, and the DDS channel is dead. Only one guy there mentioned he had his base for a week, and it stopped working. I pinged their support and found out they will not support you if you're not the primary owner and if you didn't buy from their authorized dealers. They wouldn't even sell me any parts. I opened the base to find a burned chip with the area around it all blackened. It's a shame.
@@Hailstrom2003 Yeah, that's why I wanted to put out this video, seems like a rushed product with little R&D. When it worked it was good, it just didn't work long, lol. I actually purchased the wheel again because it can be used through the usb C cable and it's an awesome deal.
Little r&D you need to do your research. It was developed with the the help and support of moza that's why moza has a wheel identical to the pxn wheel. Even moza and fanatec have issues with parts going bad. They are electronics. Shit happens. We sell 300k dollars kenworth semis and we have parts go.out all the time. It's not ideal but we all suffer to our suppliers when they send electronics. Pxn didn't make those chips they just assembled the servo.
@@tstiffler11 it still was rushed, the software was no where near ready for mass distribution. Especially not Western markets, lots of non translated Chinese instructions. Broken update system for the steering wheel, and the rev lights didn't work on any PC game. This wheel is not ready for markets...or at least they should be up front and let people know what they are getting. I understand hardware fails, but the software was not up to par either.
I believe so. Its all the same connection. I still use the wheel on a different base from this one. Edit: see last post. The V10 wheel won't work with this base (unless modded I'm guessing).
Well I don't think so anyway. Unless the pins are the same. Now I do know that Joey bags put a moza wheel on it and it worked for steering controls but none of the buttons worked.
I've had this wheel now for 6 months no issues
It was good when it worked.
Saaaaaame. Great wheel, have had it for awhile now.
shiii i was planning to buy it yesterday. Ill wait for your update for the second pair if you did get it replaced.

@@nativerezmedia yeah mine doesn't work with my ps5 but does on my laptop
Awesome channel. Thanks for the content.

@@rdp_16 Yeah, that's sucks, because it was a good feeling base while it worked. Software needs a little polish but a lot of them start off like that.
@@rdp_16 I actually have a simagic base now.
Why did it go back
Because a capacitor popped and it started smoking. The wheel base no longer had any torque. It registered my steering input, but didn't have power.

Is the base UL listed?
I believe so.
I never looked too much into it.
Can I put the v10 wheel on the v12 dds?

@@tstiffler11 these are from the same company, pinout should be the same. Also, the wheels have USB connections.
I believe not V12cw and V12Lite has locking pins while V10 only has a threaded quickrelease made out of plastic
