ON just throwing stuff at the wall until people say wow. Also thanks for your Boston 12 review. I just picked some up and they are now my favorite daily trainer.
Agreed the throwing stuff at the wall vibes coming in hard with not just thing shoes but all/most of the Ons, their shoes are fine… if you never tried ANY OTHER major shoe brand, like EVER
@@runnahpodcast The story about how the creator of ON just took a garden hose, and folded it like their clouds, then cut it in half, because "hoses squish" basically explains how in tune ON is with what good shoes actually need.
It seems that the Hyper has a similar feeling of what I had with the Adidas Adizero Adios 6 & 7 where the foam is firmer in the back and soft and bouncy in the forefoot area. I loved this feeling in the Adios, but I'm minority, since most runners seems to not overpronate not a bit and so they feel better with firmer and bouncy in the forefoot and soft and a bit unstable in the heel area.
Funny thing. In Switzerland there is no small flag on all ON shoes cause it is forbidden there to put the flag on it if the product is not produced inside the country. Like a "Made in Germany" indicator.
My Cloudmonsters 1 have the most mileage of any show in my rotation, and naturally I wanted to upgrade with the Hyper. I tries it last friday at Fleet Feet Old Town Chicago store (great professional service, BTW) and I tried them on... nope, just feels weird an "boxy". Tried the new NB Rebel 4's and it was so much better, although They did not had my size. I really wanted to like them, but I think I'll pass this time.
I agree with the eclipse . Its softish with the right amount of firm , forefoot feels like it does not bottom out deep in the run , and the roll is awesome . This i might try in the store, but that price turns me off .
Because of mixed reviews I have not bought the CloudMonster Hyper until this weekend. A shoe store had them and a treadmil. I thought it would be cool to try them out for myself. Ended up buying them because I liked them so much on the treadmill. Also I did my first 13km run last night. And they are great! I really like the Hypers. I had a pair of Eclipse, but they have never really worked for me. Even if they have several great reviews. For my feet the Eclipse felt big, bulky dead and flat. I could not get a good lock down. I think if I had gone down size or a half size maybe the eclipse would work much better for me. I stiller wonder why I don`t get the same feeling from Eclipse eveyone else love. I had to go down a half size for this CloudMonster Hyper aslo.
I am a suburban dad that goes to a lot of youth sports for my children and also frequent Costco so I’m totally in the demo for On but for some reason, I have never bought a pair. I have tried on one pair though that was a while back.
Both cloud eclipse and cloud surfer squeak all the time, every time I wear them. Can't stand it! I got the cloudmonster hyper. Not a fan, last time i purchase ON!
I've tried it on. It's a great trainer. Its better than the eclipse. It's in the top 3 shoes you can get at the moment. It's in the same top tier for me as the supablast and the NB supercomp trainer.
Cloudsurfer is still the best On running shoe. They could’ve and should’ve done the same with their Cloudmonster and this one. At that price you’re getting this shoe for its looks. It’s a cool looking pair of sneakers.
I find the reviewer that reviewed a shoe that I have or had. If their opinions match mine, then that is who I listen to moving forward. That reviewer for me was Thomas for years, but I found a reviewer that is even more in line with my shoe opinions. That reviewer is Meg (Sorry Thomas).
Have never seen both guys looking so disappointed before. That speaks a lot given Robbe still turned up, compared to when Thomas "Reviewed" the Brooks...
I felt the same way until I tried on the Cloudmonster in my local shop. Is it overpriced? Absolutely. But I’m bougie like that. But for whatever reason it works for me.
ON just can’t make a performance shoe that is on par with the industry. It seems like every company has figured it out except ON. Waaaaay overpriced too
I been following your channel for a while, and I can say that you guys don't like Brooks shoes at all. You guys review a lot shoe brands , but mostly Hoka and On, but not Brooks. Very bias!

@@DZero_Aperture honestly honestly I feel like that summarizes it all ha ha
Boston 12 is AMAZING

A forefoot striker with wide feet should be happy with that one, right?
Good afternoon. 230€= No carbon plate= Crazy expensive= No for me. Like to Thomas and Robbe. Have a great day.
i have these, love them!
im replying to my own comment at the point you mentioned big runners which i am hahahaha
How is the stability? I have mild pronation. And I want to get this shoe

I saw someone at the airport with cloudboom echo 3.
I assume they’re using it for fashion because it looks like it’s in good condition.
Poor guy. Those shoes are terrible to walk in. But I love running in Cloudboom Echo3!
Seen many people wearing the CE3 as a casual shoe and it hurts to see (great race shoe for under half marathon though)

Eclipse is a great shoe. Hope this is as good or better
Hey BITR, when is that Hoka Skyward X review coming?
Ran first time in them today. 👍
@@davidrosenthal5795 How did they feel, sir? Anything you could compare them to?

I really like these shoes for easy runs. Feet feel very comfortable and shoes are light.
Good lookin hat Robbe!
I watch the On reviews to see if eventually ill be convinced to try them. Every time the answer is "try again later".
Couldn't agree more. Why buy this shoe when the Boston12 and Speed 4 are $160-ish
It gets a red light just on price alone.
Where can I buy Robbie's hat? That would suit me as I would never be an elite runner. 😅
Path Projects!
I wanted to like this shoe so bad but that price with no plate is nuts
Both cloud eclipse and cloud surfer squeak all the time, every time I wear them. Can't stand it! I got the cloudmonster hyper. Not a fan, last time i purchase ON!
My early review as a big dude: 😬

Ran in mine and really like them
Will avoid. Thanks
Bought it but it is stretching where the laces tie and it’s unwearable now. Can’t tighten up now.

Let’s all remember that this shoe may be perfect for you regardless of any shoe review.
Yes, remember that.
Have never seen both guys looking so disappointed before. That speaks a lot given Robbe still turned up, compared to when Thomas "Reviewed" the Brooks...
Currently $165 at fleet feet
Still longing to try ON shoes but the price is too damn high!
When Grant Cardone does shoe reviews 😂
I'm sorry, but whether it's walking or running, you'll never convince me to wear On
They look good and are comfortable but the price can be ridiculous
Saaaame. It'll never happen.
These are legit and stack up against superblast, Skyward X and SC Trainer well.
I felt the same way until I tried on the Cloudmonster in my local shop. Is it overpriced? Absolutely. But I’m bougie like that. But for whatever reason it works for me.
Must be sad being that closed-minded - I’ll never write a brand off because you never know when they’ll produce something that blows your socks off
On Ominous Cloud coming in 2025. A supertrainer in an all black colorway only.
The asking price is a solid deal breaker for me.
There are to ways to say that...
-you are fired!!!!!👉👉👉
Or....
- we have to let you go:).....
Well, that video it's this.
I don’t need a brick on my foot like also the HOKA Skyward. And at more than 200 bucks it’s crippling
kofuzi hat spotted
The thing is he’s now an ELITE
On do be having those really baggy uppers
Narrow footed runners beware! All the Cloudmonsters fit terribly for me thanks to the baggy upper.
Cue the price is right , “sorry but thanks for playing “ sound effect….
The original Monster is best !
Until I see majority of the elite running field rocking ON…I will be OFF, not ON.
To me On cloud are a gimmick shoe. The name, the sole bubbles, it’s a lure to catch the people who don’t know any better or just getting into running.
This ⬆️
@@averagerunner_ thank you lol I’m glad I’m not the only one who sees it that way

You might as well start running in your Sunday shoes. ON shoes are clearly for fashion.
That is one ugly shoe
Other ON shoes look decent, but I really dislike how they're slapping the "ON RUNNING" on the side for the latest models, it's really tacky.
The buck toothed shoe boxes
Why would anyone in their right mind buy ON shoes. 😬
Because the cloudsurfers look cool!!!!
They make great daily trainers. Cloud X
Exactly
Overhyped, unstable, narrow toebox. Cloudmonster 2 is much better
