dunno if it's already been mentioned but the DX9 is basically a crippled DX7 and there is already firmware to fix this. but honestly with the options available today, why bother? The Liven XFM is a great 4OP FM, the Korg Opsix prop kicks my beloved DX200 ass and Dexed does 6OP pretty good for free.
The original asking price was £70. When I originally thought it was terminally damaged (as the seller also did, and was actually going to take it to the tip!), I nearly walked away but offered him £20 when he said it was going to landfill instead.
@musictechtuition I typed it all up again last night and once again it disappeared!! I related a similar project I had with an old reel machine. Something in the post caused an issue, who knows.
@musictechtuition I did them both on my mobile app. Second one was predictive "corrected" so I went back to edit it and then it said "post failed" but appeared to be still there - no idea where to find history in the mobile app,!
Hardware vs software comparisons will be very informative. Looking forward to that.

Hmmm. I think the worst was the DX27 and/or its miniature keys version the DX100. The DX9 has 16note polyphony and better fine tuning for modulation.
What was the asking price from the seller ...was it £24 or higher ?

Did you have fun fixing it up and pottering around with it? Well?!.......did you?!
Absolutely certain I made a comment here on Friday!!. Odd!
I can't see one... which begs the question - "What was it?"

@@alain_de_frothcorn That's properly weird - it's not anywhere in held comments on my dashboard, so I have no idea what happened there!
