    Enjoyed the video. When I rewired my '74 it took several days and several "experts" to get my issue resolved also. Keep making the videos!

    Wonderful! So exciting, very proud, a regular Joe did all that in his garage, inspirational. I'm not to that point with mine, but I can very easily imagine the joy to finally have it going again. Congrats.
    More videos absolutely, this is just the beginning, now the project has momentum it runs and drives what more can you ask for.

    I'm so jealous... my Fitech has done nothing but cause issues with my car for the last year... never will idle smooth, etc, and here you are driving straight to the gas station 😂 I can't even make it to the place I get my car inspected... plus I've been on the phone with Fitech more than 20 times... this system has issues that reappear and disappear for no apparent reason... hopefully the software update they are talking about will fix this funky computer stuff

    Your videos make me chuckle. I have installed 6 of the Fi-techs now on Broncos and each one seems to have it own issues. One thing to watch is that Fi-tech's don't like low voltage, so make sure you have at least 13.5 volts at all times.

    • @NashvilleEarlyBronco
      @NashvilleEarlyBronco  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Tom Sawyer 6! That's awesome. Yeah I went ahead and replaced my battery and I'm getting some good power. Right now I'm trying to get the thing tuned. Any good places you know of for tuning info?

    • @tomsawyer5576
      @tomsawyer5576 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Nashville, Fi-tech techline is a good place to start.
      Here are some of the common problems we have found that may help you tune it yourself.
      Couldn't tell where you installed the O2 sensor but it is important that you keep it close to the collector if you have headers and that there are no exhaust leaks, even small ones.
      Got to have that baseline timing correct. I notice you said that you didn't have any timing marks. If you haven't got your timing reference point correct yet then you are going to have to find TDC or you will never get a consistent tune
      Make sure you sure your engine size is correct and cam type, often for some reason the computer loses that information.
      It is also important to get the IAC steps are correct or you can get a off idle stumble.
      Again go to volt meter on the data screen and check the voltage at idle and under load.
      Another common problem is that guys don't run a thermostat which you will have to have for the FiTech to work. You can check your computer setup for water temperature thresholds and reset them to match your water temperatures. If temperatures don't match your engine then the computer can think you are still in warmup mode when actually you are in run mode.
      One more thing, the inline pumps can be problem if they are not below the bottom of the tank and if they are any place close to the exhaust. Additionally because the stock tank is so shallow an inline system will pickup air if the installer didn't modify the tank with a fuel sump pickup baffle system. Remember the FiTech fuel pressure regulator doesn't know if it is seeing fuel or air, thus an air bubble in the fuel line looks like fuel to the computer.
      If you get lost trying to do a custom tune just go back and start over from the beginning.
      All this is covered in the basic setup info which, if you are me , you have probably read a thousand times by now. Just don't give up you will get it figured out and then go "that was easy".
      Hope this helps, got any question just message me on Facebook.

      My issue was the last one. I took this thing to mechanics all over california to get it figured out and turned out my fuel tank was trash and needed a sump. Had sump installed with racing grade fuel lines by an awesome mechanic in GA and haven't had any problems since. Still trying to figure out the IAC step thing as I have a slight hesitation issue on WoT from stop/idle.

    • @NashvilleEarlyBronco
      @NashvilleEarlyBronco  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Khalid interesting! I may need to go the sump route next. Still trying to get my IAC steps right and have some backfiring issues too

    hey bud, love your videos.... do you have any idea what would cause the fitech unit to pop thru the throttle body? I had it running good then all of a sudden it pops thru the throttle body and runs like crap... thanks for any info

    • @NashvilleEarlyBronco
      @NashvilleEarlyBronco  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm... My guess would be your O2 sensor is going bad, or reading incorrectly causing too much fuel to be dumped in the bowls, thus getting the popping through the throttle body. Check for exhaust leaks and see if your O2 sensor is getting fresh air from a leak and making everything run too rich.

  • @mimixownzall

    When you switch to an electric fan you might as well switch to an electric water pump while you're at it. That will save you a lot of HP. It would be awesome to get a dyno on your current setup, then do another dyno when you change to electric fan and water pump and see the difference; that would be an awesome video!

    • @NashvilleEarlyBronco
      @NashvilleEarlyBronco  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was planning to do it with the electric fan, didn’t think about the water pump. I’ll look into that 👍🏼

    • @mimixownzall
      @mimixownzall 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wasn't interested in switching to an electric water pump due to unsure of their reliability, but my mechanic (I can't work on engines too in depth) said he has never had to replace an electric water pump. I have an '83 K5 Blazer.

    Have you had any issues with it not cold starting without opening the throttle? I have a 67 cougar with a small cam 302 with the Fitech 600hp and it doesn't seem to want to fire without opening the throttle on cold start.
    Any suggestions or videos on this
    Thanks

    • @NashvilleEarlyBronco
      @NashvilleEarlyBronco  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm... I haven’t had that problem. My hand held controller is broken right now so I can’t check, but I think there is a cold start setting. Where if it’s below a certain temp it dumps more fuel in the bowls?

    • @jeffreystelling3395
      @jeffreystelling3395 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NashvilleEarlyBronco Well it's not really cold as in weather temp. It's just after the car sits a few hrs or overnite. If it had been warmed up previously it fires up no problem. I will have my mechanic look into the cold start setting on the handheld. I also sent him a playlist of your Fitech vids.
      Thanks
