I'm normally pretty skeptical about new guns like these, but I can easily tell this guy means business. He's very driven on detail, the emphasis on the team's part in making this happen, the machine work, ergonomics, features, everything about these pistols are up front and center. He's not reading some bullshit off a powerpoint or some narrative marketing style crap. This guy knows how to talk and I can tell he's very proud of what they've created. I'm really excited myself to get my hands on one of these and see the details in person. That 2011 looks stunning and the fit/finish looks to be phenomenal on the striker gun as well. Ergonomics look very well though out with that bore axis, the grip, the changeable pannels, trigger, slide fitment, everything is just so good looking here. Can't wait to see more videos on these and to see how the fare in the competition they're going after.
In my opinion: They make "ok" stuff. Their barrels are good to go but their small parts would need some improvement. They'll do the job, but milage may not be so high on the small parts even if machined. It's the heatreat that warps parts & how they relax set. MIM sintering is really terrible so is machining soft parts to save on cutting bits. I like their barrels. The last one I had had a crazy long lead in past the chamber shoulder. Shot & cleaned well for a drop in 5" 1911 barrel. I thought their links, link pin & bushing were softer than the major brand labels and slightly gritty on the adhesive wear surface element. If I could be satisfied with a run of the mill, it'd have to be an Ed Brown above everything else.
This is what I’m talking about, steel frame, aluminum grip. Everyone’s releasing these hybrid 2011ish models with aluminum frames, as much as they’re fine for concealed carry, someone doing high round counts in competition or training will want a steel frame. I’m not magazine adverse to the 2011, especially that they’ve finally made a 9mm specific mag for the new Staccatos but man, I’d love to have 33 round Glockazines for my 3 gun open pistol and the Platypus doesn’t do it for me with the aluminum frame, take apart guide rod, and cerakote finish.
Why am I just finding out about this company? haha The XP Pro and XF Pro are the best-looking firearms I have seen in quite a few years. If they feel and shoot as good as they look, they will be a game changer. The material these firearms are being made of is phenomenal. Will be ordering each of these as soon as they become available to shop.
I want to see reviews from Huntfishshoot, Tactical Considerations, Honest outlaw, Colion noir, Honest outlaw, and Humble marksman. Those guys do the best reviews on the internet and are the reason I make horrible financial decisions that always leave me with a smile. The 1911 looks amazing! Will they be coming with optics height irons?
You are correct, The XF-Pro does not give a standard Glock “Blocky” feel. The XF-Pro feels much more like a CZ and points and allows for a much more natural target acquisition. At every distributor/dealer show we go to, and also feedback from our test shooters; everyone says that they really like the grip feel because it is similar to the CZ platform.
I’m watching all the videos on this new release because it’s going to be a home run. Excellent looking firearm Mr Serva! You mentioned wanting feedback: I like the idea of left side safety only and no magwell for CCW. These are just my personal preferences which others will disagree. Again, great looking new release and I know a ton of research went into this.
Awesome looking stuff!! im excited for both new options. The XP Pro is a beaut clark! ! And the XF Pro looks "Fire" ive got to get both to review. Nice work
Beautiful looking firearm. Sounds like you all put a lot of thought and development into these. Can’t wait to get my hands on one . Just waiting for shipping to start. 👍🏼
That's cool. The platypus also has an aluminum frame and Cerakote (the cheapest, least durable firearms finish). Not built for high round counts or serious-duty use. Also, about $700 more and still doesn't come close to the features on the XP PRO.
@@CombatConscienceI wouldn’t say they are built “cheap”. Remember Bul Armory has a line called “EDC and EDC Pro” and they also have aluminum frames and I’ve never heard someone say that those are built cheap or not to last. Stealth arms isn’t a new company or an old company and they come out with new stuff every year. They are talking about making steel frame and even ported options from factory on their website.
Aesthetically I think y’all are spot on with both of these! Beautiful looking firearms! I’m very interested in getting my hands on these to see how they feel and shoot! Well done Fusion Firearms 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I’m literally looking at vids of prodigy and Apollo 11 to purchase today and found this video. I’m honestly thinking about waiting for this now but I am impatient. I hope they come out soon!
Wow. This looks amazing. I’m definitely intrigued and for $500 striker fired I’m gonna support these folks and pick one up! Also love the look of the 1911 carry style dblstack. Awesome Fusion let’s go!! #2a #staystrapped
Can this be.... The king of the budget 2011s!!!, if this thing is reliable and performs very well you can have my credit card number and put me in for an order
Please make a 5 inch barrel version! And a g34 length platform, ill buy one of each as well! Beautiful! I would say 6 inch barrel and 17l length versions if there was dang compatable Safariland holsters, that'd the dream open carry sizes. Regardless i would buy them as well and get a holsters that'd work for them Im ordering your 4 inch in chrome for a ccw, get the chrome glock platform out and ill pick one of those up as well, great work!
Stealth Arms Platypus 2.0 with a Sig 220-series aesthetic to the slide, using a steel frame with STI-esque grip/trigger guard as a separate aluminum component. Nice improvement over the Platypus' non-anodized aluminum frame, that'll end up being a wear component with high round counts. I do like the slide stop design, that's real nice for folks with smaller hands. And for $1100-$1200 MSRP, I can see this beating out several of the more expensive competitors for entry level 2011's... Assuming it works, that is.
Is there a cut already there or you have to use the plates? Just wondering if you could mount red dot flush. From the view I cannot tell if the frame rounds. Trying to know the width. Someone said in the blog that the panel are removable from the frame put panel grips flush? Quite a bit of questions… trying to see if it hits all my picky qwerks so i can preorder
The slide is milled for the optics plates, there are several plates depending on the optic you have to mount. The Al grip section is removable similar to a 2011. On the X-Fire the grip panels are removable. We will get into this deeper on future videos.
Cool looking guns. As these companies modernize designs I really wish more would put a left handed slide stop/release on their guns like many of the polymer striker guns have
As long as the product is good and you put effort in marketing, I'm all for this Ermox × Fusion Firearms partnership. Century Arms has done a great job with Canik whereas SDS and EAA have done a subpar job with Tisas and Girsan. SAR is facedown in a puddle. You should seriously consider getting Ermox to make an affordable 1911 in .30 Super Carry. You would dominate the segment and I think the lack of options is the only thing that's kept .30 SC from blowing up like 5.7 FN recently has.
@@fusionfirearms Personally I don’t care where you are manufacturing it but I just want to be reliable! No FTF or FTE, double feed etc. as a Floridian I would love to support my local community so please just make it reliable! No more Apollo 11 or Prodigy issues. Affordable and reliable products!!!
Good to see the XP Pro doesn’t have a witness hole in the barrel to blow exhaust gas on the optic. Does the grip have a Glock angle or did you use some Stealth Arms magic and retain the 1911 angle?
The grip angle is very comfortable and handles points very well. The front-strap is basically like a 1911 at 17.5 degrees and the back is at 22 degrees. It does not feel like you have a brick in your hand, and it is very fast to pull-up for natural sight acquisition. With the 2 angles being slightly different and the undercut trigger guard, as you grip the pistol it naturally pulls your hand into the grip safety and towards the center-line of the barrels for maximum control. Also, The grip is thinner than most wide-bodies because of the use of Glock Mags.

Looks amazing though, keep up the hard work, and wish you guys nothing but success.
Their website says they are $1099 and $1199 (im assuming MSRP still.)
$1100 for a double stack 1911 that takes glock mags, hell of a good deal.
Hell of a deal
Cheaper than a platypus, I’m gonna save up for this one
Damn good deal
@@bgarza18keep in mind this is turkish, and the platypus is american made.
Thats the reservation price :) looks like a hell of a deal
The slide release on that 1911 is truly a thing of beauty. Well done.
The details!!! It's outstanding on this piece.
All this is is a rebranded Ermox gun that's been out. They're just copying the ermox turkey gun.
