I’ve been on emirates first and business class. Virgin Atlantic is completely out of Emirates’ league in my personal opinion! I prefer flying with Lufthansa,Emirates and EVA :’)

I flew there new business class in the A330-900 neo, it was amazing, it was very private and had a closing door. Maybe the older one is a little outdated.
Who else pauses on the menu, thinks mmm, I'll have that, and then suddenly remembers to their misery that they are watching a video and not on a flight?

Cory Brayshaw I don’t have that problem I sit in premium or economy ,also I love virgin soooooooo much,a350 seats in upper class are better for windows but still not the best in opinion
My wife and I are flying Virgin Upper Class in July and having seen your review we're super excited to experience a whole new class of flying. We have saved hard for our trip and by the looks of things will have a fantastic journey from Heathrow to Seattle and then on to Anchorage, Alaska . Thank you for sharing your trip with us.
People are complaining how “it’s claustrophobic. Its doesnt look comfortable. The arm rests look uncomfortable.” I’d be happy to have a seat that reclines past 25°
Hey! Great video, thanks! Especially the large cups and finally well filled :-) Because I would like to have coffee sometimes in the plane. Happy New Year!

Hello, I have to tell you your video review is one of the best I've seen and I like your fresh look to reviews of this type. Very informative and also good mix between music and background noise. Well done!!!
Interesting, I shall be coming back from SFO overnight in Upper Class in a few weeks, on a Dreamliner so this was quite interesting to see. The A346 Upper Class is old, dated and very scruffy now. We tend to go out in Premium Eco, because I can't stop looking out of the window at the Arctic and Greenland, and the one thing Upper doesn't give you is easy viewing through a window, which strikes me as very odd, but it's great for night flights. One odd thing about Virgin Atlantic's club house in SFO is it's the only one before, not after security, so you have to remember to give yourself plenty of time. Love your vids, keep it up!
I am not keen on flying, I do it because otherwise wouldn’t go anywhere. So this plane for me would be my dream plane, because I never sit next to the window, I always sit on aisle seat. Fantastic vid Dan thanks for sharing. x
By far the best business class seat for the people that comment about not seeing out the window you soon forget about that with everything else it offers❤️ ✈️
Best part about any VA flight by far are the flight attendants! They are not only the nicest I've experienced but aren't uptight and "too professional" if that's the correct term! Nothing makes me more uncomfortable than flight attendants that cant take a joke or are too focused on getting their job done they forget to have a laugh and actually relax with the people they are stuck on a tube for several hours at time with, it makes me so relaxed and comfortable and for some one that's as nervous about flying as I am they really do make it that much more bearable
Will never understand this cabin layout. Only 3 seats across yet almost no privacy for 2/3 of the seats. All seats face INTO the aisle with almost no storage or window views.
No. I don’t get why people are so bothered about looking at the same old sky. I only look out of the window on take off and landing and maybe a bit in between.
The Potato of Death even on normal planes ppl aren’t looking at out the window that often at all, acting like their missing something, the setup is nice obvi not the best but nice
I fly virgin most of the time and fly business class. Unfortunately virgin need to up their game when it comes to first class travel. In my opinion the first class cabin is sub-standard in comparision to it's competitors. Emirate is up there. They need to re vamp it as there is not private at all
Mimi'sFashionLounge I wouldn't class upper class on virgin as a first class cabin. A lot of airlines have business class that is superior. I feel the shape of the seats makes it feel very claustrophobic in upper with virgin. I would only ever fly upper with virgin using miles to upgrade. Certainly not worth paying for.
Danielle emirates doesn’t have suites, they have: Economy Business Class First Class You got confused with Singapore Airlines who have: Economy Premium Economy Businesses Class Suites Class
05:05 I've never noticed that Virgin Atlantic paints the wingtips on their dreamliners like they do on models that have actual winglets! Looks cool when it takes flight and wings get that sweptback look!
Really surprised at amount of comments relating to 'wish the seats faced the window'... I've never understood that! Half of most daylight flights there's nothing at all to see, and the rest of the time it's just dark outside! Why would facing the window be a thing? You can always sit on the edge of your seat and look out of your own window! I know from experience on these flights... Always been impressed with VA. Their service is great.
I flew Virgin Atlantic in Premium Economy (because they had a special offer were it costed they same amount of miles as economy) and I went to the Upper Class bar and no one even cared, not even the cabin crew!
How much time can you spend staring out into clouds on a 10hr flight? You can easily look out of your window, but the films, food, bar and snack bar is enough to keep me going.
I've always heard great things about Virgin Atlantic and Virgin America, hope to fly with them one day, nice trip report Daniel, keep up the great work :)
great review! can't say that I like the seat orientation being faced away from the window or the limited storage space around the seat. Would have been nice to see the lounge but maybe there isn't one in LHR? Looks like a traveling disco with the hip mood lighting. Strange seat with the flip forward flatbed. With all of the feet facing out, it must get pretty odoriferous walking down the main aisle? Probalby not my cup of tea but it does like a nice product.
As others have said, the seats look claustrophobic, and I dislike the angle AWAY from the windows. One thing I haven't seen commented on is that you have to actually get out of your seat to fully recline to a bed. I really dislike that. I like mine reclined almost flat but not completely. It also seems like it would create aisle congestion. Also, Quantas provides PJs, and even Delta does on some of their longer overseas flights. Thanks for the video!
The biggest problem with those seats is that you either sit basically upright or lie flat. You can't choose positions in between since the seat has to flip over to turn into a bed.
When you boarded the plane, as in you literally took a step onto it, someone said “I hope you’re not recording me” was that a flight attendant or a passenger? It was so quick and happened so fast I can’t make out who said it.
Virgin is fun. That's what they aim for and it's what they provide. Personally I'd even take them over CX and QR in J. I'm a tall guy and I find the seats ok - easy enough to sleep in. Favourite airline when flying for pleasure but then window thing doesn't bother me, I'm also not obsessed with privacy. You can see outside if you twist around! You can also use the buddy seat to dine with a companion.

Yes it's nice, but if they made some changes it would be better, rotate the seats to point towards the windows, or maybe the day has come where they following what other airlines have done .e.g Lufthansa. This seating arrangement is similar to NZ which I personally do not prefer especially for overnight flights as there is no privacy. Again I have taken NZ from AKL to SIN and I do that often because of the amazing Kiwi crew. They are simply the best in my experience.
