I just flew on Virgin Economy with my family! It’s awesome! Our menu had pasta with sausage and a chicken meatball dish :D for breakfast they gave us an Aussie bar and yogurt! It was a night flight and morning flight to London :D
David, I Greatly appreciate the fact that the Majority of your flights are in Economy, which is reality for most travellers. I've also come to realize, that we Canadians get bent over pretty good, when comparing our flights with European Fares.

I was on one of Virgin's 747s a few month back, and I think the seats in economy which are that light shade are Economy Delight (Extra Legroom). But I have got to say that Virgin Atlantic is one of the best airlines in the world.
Love your channel since you have lots of economy class reports, not like other channels that have many business or first class. I mostly travel on economy class so this is really helpful.

Don't be afraid tho ...flying is saver then driving after all. My first aviation channel I began to watch was Sam Chui but his channel is kind of average. Of course he have some great flights in 1st class but I don't like how it's staged, and his raptures on almost everything. I think that even when he will fly on Alladin carpet we can expect something like - Ooohhh wow, Alladin Airlines has best on-flight view from all and so on. I have discovered your channel and it's great, there is multipile flight reports from different countries and what I like the most is that you don't comment too much. I can focus on how I may be treated on board as an regular pax. You are doing great job and I'm looking forward for next movies!
I'm in the same boat as you there, I think I alarm bells started for me on one of his Emirates videos (dont get me wrong I love Emirates as an Airline) but the video was so obviously fake and set up and it just seemed like he wasnt really focused on giving honest reviews anymore.
Fuck off with your shade-throwing. Both are completely different channel that have their own way on covering trips. Some may find Sam's deep interaction with flight attendant as fake, some may find Felix and David's candid coverage as boring or anti-social. It's totally up to the viewer to watch what they like, but there's no place on aviation community for shade-throwing and name calling.
To be clear - I'm still watching Sam Chui videos but there are some things which irritate me. Is anybody remember stewardess Leanne from Etihad? I saw that she was feel like a mascot for Sam. I'm just prefer Simply Aviation videos because it's not staged and it's show much more reality. I have the right for opinion, that's all.
The best part of any flight, for me, is the food, entertainment and positive FAs. Branson has covered it all in aces. A menu, three choices in economy, great food and great entertainment. The FAs seemed energetic, friendly and fun. Looked like a great ride from an unsung hero of the skies, Virgin. Thanks for sharing. It was fun!
Excellent video. And I feel for you. Los Angeles is my hometown, so I know how much of a hassle it is to get through LAX customs. I ALWAYS avoid it like the plague and choose an alternative airport.
the arriving flights and security area were awful, reminded me of a prison reception area. I arrived there from London at 7pm, from there I went through 2 huge disneyland style queues and then escorted to another area behind a security protected double glass door. I was sat in a detention area!! It was 01:30 when I got out and their only comment was that they needed to confirm my Visa was valid. (I got the visa 6 months prior to the trip from The American Embassy!!) It really spoiled my trip back "home"....I lived in LA for 18 years.
First time I went to LAX was with school when I was 18. Possibly some of the most miserable people I've ever met. Made a competition of it of who could make the customs officer laugh. Was not successful. Leaving wasn't as bad but I'm always quite nervous in foreign countries as I have an insulin pump for my diabetes. Heathrow customs was incredibly chill about it though. Kinda of made me laugh

Going from Manchester airport to tampa in two days from when I am typing this comment! Watched this so I could know what to expect from my virgin Atlantic flight! We also got extra leg room seats so this video really helps!
Just flew Virgin Atlantic to and from London in April and loved every minute of it. Only word of advice to anyone traveling to LAX internationally... Try and book your flight so you land in LA before dark because after that they divert everyone to the International terminal. It gets very confusing and that's one of the main frustrating things about landing at LAX at night!
I think you will agree with me that VA is one of the beat ways to cross the Atlantic. I flew from the same gate to the same destination and the had the same check in crew and I recognized some of the cabin crew... All of whom were very friendly. I had an amazing seat with great food. Honestly Virgin Atlantic is definitely second best if not the best flight airline I have ever flown on.

Reminds me of the old days flying economy when you go through business and get teased with what it looks like then you jump in your cramped economy seat. Good job on this report. Have to say these economy reports are far more useful to most people as most people fly economy
Thoroughly enjoyable video. Best aviation channel on TH-cam 👍virgin Atlantic was good in every aspect especially in their meal service and the frequencies at which the meals are given. Once again , great work team !
This is a actually the economy delight section, which has extra legroom, a premium check-in, dedicated storage, priority boarding, and for those with FF status, extra miles. The normal economy seats are red. On this flight they must been treated as normal economy seats.
I will be taking this trip soon.....the arrival in LA is raising my blood pressure by just looking at this video lol as I have to get a connecting flight + not sure if baggage has to be collected & checked in in again. Great video !

Hi, great video, but you cannot compare Boeing 787 as good as Airbus A380 or A360. I've just been on Virginatlantic vs300 London to Delhi. I sat at the last middle seat, I was cramped the isle seat arm rest doesn't come up like on A380 does, I,m 6ft 6in when person recline their seat it comes on my lap, no good for me, thankful to you David, going back to U K, I've upgraded to more leg, Thanks for your video of Boeing's 787.

Good video. I was glad that there wasn't a lot of chatter and filler. However, I would want to know if those seats recline enough to allow you to sleep on such a long flight! The food looked respectable, and the IFE had variety. No wifi?
I love Virgin Atlantic. My favourite international airline. When I travel to London, my preference is with this airline. But due to unfortunate circumstances, I won't be travel with them this year. Good video and trip report.
I'm not a fan of Branson so have avoided the Virgin brand entirely. However - I had the most disgusting experience ever with British Airways in Feb 2020 and I will NEVER use them again. My dislike of Branson will have to weaken methinks as this video shows that Virgin Airlines are light years ahead of B.A. in customer service and all round experience.
I totally agree. They ate excellent. The last time I travlled with them was in 2019 before that dusgusting corona virus hit us. I am hoping to travel with them in a few weeks. Keep up the good work. 👍👍🙏🙏

LAX is an airport that has issues with US Customs and Border Protection. They are extremely short - staffed, so it takes a very long time to get through customs.
I'm actually at gate right now, going to WA - London with Virgin Atlantic and I always had good experiences with them so I'm pretty excited. But i'm not a good traveller at all so I got my motion sickness tablets at hand. Haha
Love the video! I noticed how quiet Heathrow was idk if that was normal but compared to some of the US airports we have here such as LAX,SFO,SLC(which is the one I fly out of 90% of the time) its so quiet. The US airports I listed they are always loud full of people talking and gate agents making announcements and stuff lol.
Should book on to a Virgin 747 and book economy on the upper deck, well worth the money! would also make a good trip report, or even upgrading to premium economy up there!
Great trip report, nice to learn of the service Virgin provide as opposed to British Airways who are just abysmal these days. I second your statement on approach to LAX "Oh Los Angeles...it's nice to be back again"....I lived in LA for 18 years before returning to UK. I just returned to LA for a short visit in 2020. I LOVE LA!

My last couple of flights from Heathrow to New York, I also had the whole row to myself. That alone was the highlight of the flight.

I loved spotting Air NZ behind you at LHR - I flew to LAX/AKL on that flight back in March but came home via SFO on VA in premium economy on a 787.

Price varies based on time of day, which day, from which country, etc. If you were to look up the flight you could find more than 5 different prices.

Is your flight full? What happened earlier? You didn’t see more passengers to come onboard. You went to the gates early.
LAX is an airport that has issues with US Customs and Border Protection. They are extremely short - staffed, so it takes a very long time to get through customs.

I'm actually at gate right now, going to WA - London with Virgin Atlantic and I always had good experiences with them so I'm pretty excited. But i'm not a good traveller at all so I got my motion sickness tablets at hand. Haha
Love the video! I noticed how quiet Heathrow was idk if that was normal but compared to some of the US airports we have here such as LAX,SFO,SLC(which is the one I fly out of 90% of the time) its so quiet. The US airports I listed they are always loud full of people talking and gate agents making announcements and stuff lol.
Virgin’s no queues relaxed boarding is super nice. I experienced that at Gatwick.

Flew with VA from LHR to JFK in Feb on their A340-600, the couscous is horrible but the rest of the food is amazing!
Should book on to a Virgin 747 and book economy on the upper deck, well worth the money! would also make a good trip report, or even upgrading to premium economy up there!
Great trip report, nice to learn of the service Virgin provide as opposed to British Airways who are just abysmal these days. I second your statement on approach to LAX "Oh Los Angeles...it's nice to be back again"....I lived in LA for 18 years before returning to UK. I just returned to LA for a short visit in 2020. I LOVE LA!
