So, just a heads up. This is not an original DS Lite from 2006. This is in fact a reproduction model. This means that the seller took the insides of an original and put it in a brand new shell with new screens. Now, in my opinion, this is not bad thing. Seeing as most used DS Lites you'll find are severely cosmetically damaged, being able to get one with a brand new shell for as cheap as $60 is an amazing deal. Just letting you know.
I appreciate that. At least I know the truth about it now. That would explain why it came with a cheap aftermarket power cord. (The cord still works fine anyways.) Still not a bad deal for the 60 bucks that I paid for it.
Honestly if you try to get a used ds lite it’s hard, it’s not even just them being in bad condition some of them are just straight up disgusting, I saw one that had coffee stains all over it and had loads of cracks on it, my ds lite is in really good condition but recently I got these weird black splotches on the top screen which are now starting to spread. I only got it for £20 from a retro shop.
Just got a blue one, It performs and has the durability of a normal DS Lite. It probably is even more durable because the shells are new. The old brittle plastic shells would've broken easily after sitting in that box for so long.
I also got tricked by this too and realized quickly that it was a lazy reshelling (they didn’t even clear dust from the top screen). 60 dollars is too good to be true for a sealed ds lite
Unfortunately this DS is not brand new. When it start the first time or when battery has been removed it will start with a configuration screen. This booted right in to menu so it has ben trough the setup phase :(

That power adapter looks authentic, I got a ds lite when they were still being sold, and it came with that exact power adapter. I have never seen an original ds in real life, nor the power adapter so I assume they probably look different but that is exactly what the authentic charger looks like

I have a cobalt blue DS Lite myself, and I can confidently tell you that the top half looks like it might be missing some speaker holes. Of course, I use a 3rd party universal wall adapter from On Play that's compatible with DS Lite, DSi, and 3DS myself, as I also have myself a black DSi that I softmodded with NDSBootstrap and TwiLight Menu++. I also happen to have a launch edition Game Boy Micro and a Pokémon Center New York GBA.
I remember having one the same exact color as this, brib2ga lots of good memories, sadly I traded it in for the 3ds (the original one, it was new at that time). The 3ds still brings good memories too. :)
I'm sorry to say that because the box doesn't have the stickers on the flaps that it isn't factory sealed. I opened a brand new ds lite about 2 years ago and it had both factory stickers perfectly intact. Also, a brand new ds lite doesn't have any protective plastic on it, and your's had it on the top and on both screens.
Just picked up an all white ds lite from a pawn shop in damn good condition just a tiny bit of yellowing on the triggers but other than that it’s perfect everything works perfect
