This is a nice, clear video. I've just bought a Junior, some colours are dull but the main issue is a kind of distorted edge to some of the graphics, like a little zig-zag of shadow just next to things. I've adjusted the fine-tuning of the channel on the TV but it's not resolving it, cam the items you showed on the board be worth tweaking? Is the first one replicating tuning (and hence likely won't make a difference) or is that doing something independent of tuning? And I guess I could try the colour one as well. (Note, I'm in the UK, UHF cable plugs direct into digital telly).

Who was the lady that asked you to check on her exhaust vents? I miss the blizzards. How was this snowstorm in comparison to ones before?

I still have my ds lite, It’s in great condition!

For these games I learned a quick reload trick by "flicking" the gun upwards as I fire. It gets crazy good when you can rapid fire every target.

Clever fix, but I found a "Cartridge slot tab repair plate" on Etsy, worked a treat and very easy to fit.

Just picked up an all white ds lite from a pawn shop in damn good condition just a tiny bit of yellowing on the triggers but other than that it’s perfect everything works perfect

The screen protection is gorgeous but so afwul to peel, I got the same issue during the unwrapping u_u, and I had to unscrew everything to remove the stuck parts, but overall, this arcade console is great !

1. Replace the 7805 power regulator with a TRACO TRS-1 2450 $5. 2. Also replace the green film caps with TDK .22 100V box film caps. $.50/each. Also replace all the electrolytic caps with new ones, especially the large ones.

ive got a nintendo ds lite, its pink and it was my first console. i absolutely loved this thing and i bought alot of games in the years, now i got a shit ton of nintendo ds games in a box, nostalgia

it sad company don't make multiple product anymore, we only got 3, the xbox, ps5 and switch, the no other small console like wii and wii u have ds, ds lite dsi and 3ds, playsation have psp and psp vita. today life i kinda boring

Hey Ben! I am actually a bit disappointed in the Atari version for a couple of reasons. The sound to me is disappointing, but I’m not really familiar with the sound capabilities of the Atari 8-bit line, so maybe it’s as good as it gets. The “flagship” aliens in the Atari version are drawn the same as all the others, which I think is a big miss. But I think what bugs me most is the different aspect ratio. The original arcade VERSION uses a 4:3 CRT on its side, and the arcade port you demonstrated compensates for that by putting the scoring and lives off to the side, preserving the original’s tall aspect ratio for gameplay. The Atari version seems to throw that away, opting instead for a reimagined game field to accommodate your screen at home. I guess it’s pretty good for the time, but if memory serves, there was a nicer C64 port. Thanks for the video!

Great video Ben! I see Berzerk is the same gne as on the 5200 which is a good thing. Krazy shootout costs big bucks for 5200 but for 8 bit computer i have no idea
