Sometimes I truly believe that politicians have no clue what goes on in the real world. To think that a business will kindly absorb any extra costs without passing that cost on is unrealistic.
VAT was introduced to the EU back in the late sixties’ to pay for Brussels, the U.K. left the EU. Why on Earth are we paying VAT? We are no longer part of the EU.
In 1973, VAT replaced the old 'Purchase tax' which was introduced as a wartime tax (1940) to 'allegedly' reduce raw material inefficiency in manufacturing. Of course the new Labour government after the war kept the tax going...
Increase in Ers NI contributions means less salary for the 'workers' - it's blatantly obvious, despite our so-called leaders' politicing and gaslighting. There's a great line from a Clint Eastwood film 'Well Senator, we have an old saying around these here parts - don't piss down my back and try to tell me that it is raining'
Carbon capture doesn't pay for itself and how else can they divert money into there private companies, consultation isn't cheep, about £1 million an hour if you control the purse strings.
I think I'm missing something here, the Labour manifesto was as clear as mud to me. There will be massive indirect tax hikes on working people; VAT, Employer's NI amongst may more.
NI rates for the self employed include the equivalent of both NI for employers and employees. If they rise there is a clear break in the manifesto promise unless someone is going to argue the self employed don't work
So often, politicians vague and deceptive statements start with the phrase "Let me be clear...". Promises are written in the sand and disappear on the next tide.

Well done to those who voted for them 👏 but then again competent politicians are rare creatures.
I am self employed, I have been for over twenty years, but a business owner is effectively also self employed. If their costings go up, then it's also reflected not only on what they pay, the cost of raw materials and what they charge the customer, but also on their tax return. By charging more business tax the government also risks increasing tax deductable cost from the businesses books. In the long run everyone actually loses including the government due to increased wage costs and costs of consumables.
Spot On Daniel. My wife sets the budgets for a large charity and confirms what you say. Any annual rise next year will be subject to employers contributions
Politicians are very good at obfuscating and misdirection. They speak with a forked tongue in that regard. In the end the employee will end up paying in one way or another.
What about the suggestion that the government may not have to pay increased 'employer' NI for civil servants etc because they have no increase in budget and do not want to implement corresponding cuts? Is this legal to have different NI rates for the private and public sector?

So why on every street and highstreet are there people unable to speak English with brand new Mercs and AUDIs just hanging out? Or of the same description delivering food to me? In brand new cars?
What's the game here?
BBB
Let's look into that black economy stuff, cos i'm not happy with that idea.
It's every where in every town
The thing with the cars is that they come here with zero debt and can get into debt. So they get cars and jewellery sometimes. It’s just a fashion choice some people want to make, I guess. I don’t like it but it’s their debt, not mine.
The conspiracy theory with the (alleged) illegal migrants working in places like deliveroo and Uber is they use someone else’s ID to get the job and none of us can check and verify if Mohammad in front of us is the same one we’re told is delivering our vegetables.
I hope you don’t mind me sticking my oar i’m pretty confident it’s right, but double check it anyways.
Look at the cars the early released criminals got picked up in 😂😂😂😂
@@madmelwood3778 right? But what is that?
I can call it whatever I like, but BBB might be able to get away with talking about it.
@@Maggy47 how many Turks do you know that live in your town?
Labour straight up don't care who they offend,as long as it's not their special interests.
Lying by omission is the deliberate act of leaving out important details, misconstruing the truth. Intentional or otherwise it's still a deception.
Yes, That is exactly it! Which is why its also hard to say who is the biggest Liar Boris Johnson or Kier Starmar? Boris was an AWFUL LIAR... You could always tell.. Kier Starmar Lies by Omission so it is unclear how many lies he has told!
Labour lies, see it even rhymes
No it doesn’t 🫠
Don’t raise taxes. Cut costs.
For the record I believe you didn't jumble your words, it was clear 😊
To quote Political commentator Max Headroom;
"How can you tell when a politician's lying?"
"Their lips move."
So what is the law on accepting bribes, I thought a law was brought in that any payment to a party was to be made to an independent body for approval before politicians received it. Also payments were to be made to the party only ,not individuals , to stop corruption. What is the law on this, and have they been breaking it .
What about small business owners who are also working people as well as employers? Often the profit margins are so small that increasing employers NI contributions may be enough to prevent the company from being able to grow or might even mean that they have to lay staff off. After all many small busines owners have had to do things such as remortgage their homes to survive through the lockdowns. Their bills have increased not only for their homes but also for their business.
Welcome to our cyberpunk dystopian beginnings as government helps corpos wipe the earth clean of small businesses.
Starmer disclaimer.
But she's a childhood chess champion. Oh sorry wait that was a lie too like Keirs dad being a toolmaker.
Keirs father did appear to make one tool, a very dangerous tool or so some say

Government giving the public smoke and.mirrors now there is a surprise.
Mr. Blackbelt take a look with your legal expertise about the WASPI WOMEN being shat on. PLEASE
I love that especially as only cases of 6 waspis were heard and the other millions are rendered voiceless and must accept the Ombudsman opinion based only on waspis cause representation
Can’t wait till they start increasing growth 🙄
They are ideological and are thicker than any government I’ve ever seen it’s unreal. They couldn’t run a tap and appear to have not thought any of their policies through whatsoever.
Time to sell up and leave the UK.
The time was 1997, when Bliar got into power.
Off you go then. Good luck.
@@simonmason1157You can't blame him. It's a grim future now for the UK 😢
Already have and so glad we did. It is torture enough watching what my country is going through from afar, I could not imagine actually living through this Marxist government
Politicians twisting the truth to fit the facts, who would have thought it?

Excuses, corrections, and u-turns are things that give question to a persons credibility in a multitude of situations.
I don't believe anything from labour .
It all gets passed on to the bottom of the ladder,so the worker will get the hit!
Young lady stabbed outside asylum hotel in Bescot has died.
Sometimes I truly believe that politicians have no clue what goes on in the real world. To think that a business will kindly absorb any extra costs without passing that cost on is unrealistic.
No, they dont care. They know can then just blame the business/employer and their chums in the Unions and MSM will agree with them.
Not a government of public service but self service. The most blatatntly dishonest government in my living memory (76 years of age)
Promises don't mean a thing if you have no integrity, principles or values!
Do they think their older interviews aren't recorded? This must be the most dangerous government we've ever had
There's you first problem; trusting in what Keir Starmer says...
A tax on an employer will end up being a tax on the employee...
remember in Socialism it's not your money.
Not increasing the Income Tax thresholds with inflation is de facto raising not lowering the tax burden on working people.
He said National Insurance, not Employee and/or Employer National Insurance. If he wanted to clear, he should have been clear in what he said.
So we are going to be taxed every witch way.
Why do we still pay vat, we’re not in the European common market are we ? I never understood that one.
NI rates for the self employed include the equivalent of both NI for employers and employees. If they rise there is a clear break in the manifesto promise unless someone is going to argue the self employed don't work
So who do they classify as “non-working people”? The unemployed, the long term sick, pensioners, children?
Maybe not the visitors because there's no NI paid on the black market earnings, is there?
So often, politicians vague and deceptive statements start with the phrase "Let me be clear...".
Promises are written in the sand and disappear on the next tide.
They speak with deception and forked tongue.
Lies come in many different forms
Keir is a blatant liar.
He’s a stupid lier
"it's not our fault you suckers fell for the subtle deception in our manifesto or pre election rhetoric"
You should do a video on the Armed police officer aquitted by jury over Chris Kaba shooting and the situation in general... why his extensive criminal record was supressed etc/should never have gone to trial. Also how the officer can fight the misconduct panel

I now always assume that whatever Starmer and Labour Party say it is a lie If they are being truthful or not. Had enough of them to bother thinking anything else.
The country should be run like a business by someone who understands business not by a lawyer
Now they want to change the rules so they can pull another £50billion of debt for the country. 🤡🤡🤡
There is more than one way to tax people , not to mention forcing an agenda on them...
What a joke, as if employers could be treated differently from employees, without affecting employees. Smoke and mirrors and utter garbage 😢 They will get the money they need from other things. Same as vat on private education. These schools can now claim millions back from the government, 😢😢
As if we didn’t know, the dim public is well aware of these stupid tricks.
she'll say anything and then do anything she wants
Perfectly logical. I struggled to survive with a young family under liebour in the early 70’s as they were exactly the same then. It’s going to come as a huge shock to people . At that time (70’s) of course you could not get credit for day to day surviving. These days it is different debt will grow and grow. Well done to those who voted for them 👏 but then again competent politicians are rare creatures.
Anyone notice how her mannerisms when speaking like her intonation are like Starmer's! 😂
AI?
I am self employed, I have been for over twenty years, but a business owner is effectively also self employed. If their costings go up, then it's also reflected not only on what they pay, the cost of raw materials and what they charge the customer, but also on their tax return. By charging more business tax the government also risks increasing tax deductable cost from the businesses books. In the long run everyone actually loses including the government due to increased wage costs and costs of consumables.
It’s just words really, they are not trusted at all wth anything they say.
A political manifesto is not worth the paper it's written on. A politicians word is worth even less. Cheesed off, I've been driven cynical!
What about the suggestion that the government may not have to pay increased 'employer' NI for civil servants etc because they have no increase in budget and do not want to implement corresponding cuts? Is this legal to have different NI rates for the private and public sector?
why does the government think they own your money, or the country. They should do a good job then ask for donations for services rendered.

Don’t forget the definition of “working people” and the answer that was given
Thank you for clarifying the Labour verbiage. The Employer and Employee NI is paid by the employee, for without the employee their is no NI payment. Therefore an Employer may reduce the workforce or increase prices to accommodate any increase in costs, be that taxation and/or raw materials.
And everything goes back to the Tories, what a shower.
You can never trust anyone who speaks so quickly. They are just trying to get to the end of the lie before you realise what they are saying.
