This is the foundation of how you progress both in the forces and later in civilian life. You learn more about yourself as a person and how you process information , conflict, and issues.
Giving orders is not a case of just do it. Yes when it hits the fan you need an instant action to commands. Leadership is not Likership. Or Orelseaship. Your team follow from a grounding of respect. They know you are asking nothing that you would not also do. That you have their back above anything else. You are a two way street for what comes from above and if they have a professional or personal issue. You will listen advise, action, or when needed the wind your neck in wake up and grow up talk.

Basically your input is always welcome. As a RM (even all arms) can always step up if it goes south.
When planning out objective no input is bad input. You can even state you don't like the chosen plan, offering up alternatives etc ..but once a decision is made, it's made.

It's the All Arms Commando course. It appears to be mainly lads going to 29 commando Royal Artillery. These blokes will often then work with the Royal Marines to offer Artillery and other supporting roles.
Logistics and engineers from the Army are two other cap badges that have dedicated regiments to support the Royals.
Other units can send their blokes on it if there is space on the courses.
Completion of this allows the guys to wear the 'Army commando' insignia on their uniform and if their in dedicated regiments they will wear the green beret.

      Pastry dude,
To do the AACC, you can come from any military service. The Royals are part of the Navy, but the course is open to all ranks and any service. Same as selection for SF, Para etc etc. Not like the yanks where you have to leave the Army if you want to do BUDS. As long as you’re armed military service, you can attempt any course.
