      Behringer if you are listening, could you do a 6 or even 8 voice synth built on this model, it would be so insanely good to make big chords with this sound quality. I mean there are lots of mono synths around now and even if I do like them as well they can only take you so far. We need something like a Prophet 6 or OB6 from Behringer to make it more playable. Thanks for releasing awesome products, this sounds really beautiful.

      @@messiahshow I was thinking about one of the odyssey VST's that are polyphonic but I would probably not like a VST of this synth.

      I find it funny how behringer is marketing those synths as if they did anything more than copying schematics and designs LOL What a bunch of clowns

    • @kristiannordeide7175

      @@inevitablecraftslab They are not. In fact they market them with descriptions like: "An ultra-affordable homage to the legendary ARP synthesizer of the ’70s " and "True to the Original: Great care has been taken in engineering the ODYSSEY, including the true to the original analog circuitry, legendary VCO, VCF and VCA designs". Quotes taken from their website. I don't know if you noticed but Korg did exactely the same a few years ago (E.g. cloning the Arp Odyssey). I don't know about you, but I for one realize that with todays surface mount technology I don't have to pay premium prices for a hand-soldered through-hole component recreation when they are readily available at a fraction of the cost.

      @Snake Plissken Totally agree, I've seen plenty of Synthpunk's videos and they are all complete garbage. He can't play, he just presses random keys & twists knobs and sounds the same on every expensive synth he buys.
      He's an elitist Moog fanatic and trolls other people who can't afford the best equipment. The only reason he says Behringer synths are crap is because they gave him the boot cos he is mentally unstable & bad for their company. (or any company for that matter).
      So he takes his frustration & anger out on other people for his own failures.

      @EdEditz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheUnperson The 2600 is amazing. You can get such a divers range of sounds out of it. I now have the Odyssey too and that is easier to get good sounding music out of quicker because of its simpler setup but you can't beat the 2600 for diversity. It helps if you download the original ARP2600 patch book and try those out. You can translate them directly to the Behringer version and it'll sound pretty much the same. You won't regret getting a 2600. They had the Gray Meanie in stock at Bax Music so I got that one. They're still in stock now.

      @@EdEditz do you still find the 2600 + Barp Odyssey a good combination? I have the 2600 but don't always want to open up Ableton to get some arps+sequences going...but love all the modular possibilities. There's a good deal on an Odyssey locally so I'm thinking of getting it to use them both together, and the keyboard+arp+sequencer for my 2600. Cheers

    • @EdEditz
      @EdEditz 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@humorustrout. Yes it's a great combination. If you can get a good deal on the Odyssey then you should get one. You won't regret it! Mind you it takes some getting used to. The Odyssey is set up a little differently than other synthesizers but you'll soon get the hang of it. It sounds great as you can see in the video above.

    I tried these patches but my Odyssey sounds nothing like those. Did you tune yours to get that sound?

    • @TheUnperson
      @TheUnperson  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both the oscillators are tuned using the course and fine tune. I'm also using a delay pedal quite often in the video and that can have a big affect on the sound.

      @Astro Telomeres was in a band that played lots of Hawkwind covers, used a Minilogue for ages and that was great for playing the filter sine with the lfo. I've never had a shot of the grandmother but it looks really classy! The Odyssey is quite a difficult synth to understand.. I'm still confused by half of it. I think they are both gonna be fun synths tho. I'd also consider the arturia synths. Microbrute is amazing. Minibrute 2 is good too!

    • @Confuzius

  • @eyeprod3101

    I didn't watch the entire thing, but the delay is the main part of the first sound more than the Odyssey is. Not a fan. I have a Korg Odyssey and it doesn't sound anything like this. I prefer it with only reverb, though I have a real Deluxe Memory Man I like using on other synths. The buzzy tone and the osc sync is what makes the Odyssey cool, imo. It's really not very complicated, but there are a lot of sweet spots.

    • @TheUnperson
      @TheUnperson  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Delay and analogue synths are meant to be together 😆
