I just love ❤️ his personality, so gentle and patient but wants what he wants! 😂 I’m always so amazed how you’ve integrated the adult males into the herd, at least for walks etc. Do the males hang out with the main breeding herd all the time, or do the tend to go off and do their own thing like wild bulls do?
Mambo took off once and tried to join a wild herd, but they didn't seem to want him. Apparently he was very happy to be found and taken home. I do wonder if hecmight take off again ...

I can't wait for this pandemic to be over so I can make arrangements to visit the Jabulani resort and see all these wonderous elephants including the darling Khanyisa. The marula fruit sounds amazing in all it's benefits to humans and animals alike. When, oh when will this pandemic be over and we can get back to some sort of normalcy???

Jabulani is such a gorgeous dark gray and so majestic. He’s a very handsome elephant. Can I bring him home with me? My grandson told me to ask that....😁
Adine, in 1993-94 I was in S. Africa. I loved Amarula. When I returned to the states, it was unavailable for many years. I was a great promoter of it and it finally arrived. Still many people don’t know about it. I never had the occasion to try the beer. The fact that you naturally drink it with coffee in the morning is great, I sometimes do as well! I also use marula oil for skin and hair but did not know about steaming the bark for the lungs. That’s a great tip. One sad note, I bought the last small liquor drinking glasses available with what I now know is Sebakwe on the glass but the seller sent them to me broken! So I’m down to 1 glass that I bought in S. Africa. 😞 Note: it’s the glasses with the stems.
The information you provide in the description box is fascinating! I googled Marula oil and found that the brand "The Ordinary" sells a one ounce bottle of cold-pressed Marula oil for $9.90 U.S. Their description says that it can be used on the face and on damp hair. Who knew?
I know the camera doesn't do the size of the elephants justice at all. They look HUGE and I can only imagine what it would be like in person. Oh how I wish I could experience it one day!
Let's plant some apple trees around the compound for a few years. Elephant will have a source of vitamin they badly need it. Some date plants are great also. Elephant will have some date fruit to provide them some sugar for energy. JMHO.
