This whole road to Munnar is pretty much similar like upcountry driving in Sri Lanka. I guess the climate & environment of kerala are almost same as hill countryside of Sri Lanka..! 😍😍
That coconut probably doesn't had the flesh in it. That's why that lady didn't open the coconut for you. If you like the coconut flesh, ask them prior so they will give you a different one. The room is too expensive. Let's see in your next video if their dinner and breakfast speak up for that price.
Hey mon. Love your videos. Love it for your pure Scottish accent. The guy accompanying to your room is customary. It's their job. In decent hotels like this, they don't do this for money. Ya they don't say no if you give either. But they don't insist. Carrying guests baggage is customary too. Room is a tad expensive but not a loot considering its a peak season.
I started watching Dales videos when I was looking for information on Indonesia. My son is getting married in Jakarta next year, so I'm after travel info for that area. Dales stuff is by far the best I've watched on TH-cam.. I've now watched all the Indonesian videos and I'm working my way through his other vlogs. They are very entertaining, I'm hooked.
I have not been to Indonesia for just over 9 years now and came across Dales channel, I too originally only planned to watch the Indonesia ones but now I'm hooked and watch all of the countries that he has vlogged. Dale is amazing, his content is addictive and I eat better thanks to watching him eat mouth watering dishes ☺️

Then cancelled again this year because it was impossible to plan ahead with the Indonesian restrictions to foreign travellers. Hopefully it will go ahead next July in 23. His girlfriend is Indonesian which is the reason they are marrying in Jakarta, it's her place of birth. They met in Scotland when she was doing research for her PHD. So my son is English, his girlfriend Indonesian, they met in Scotland and currently live in Malaysia. A good cultural mix there.🙂

India has population more than US and Europe combined so you can imagine the diversity of people hotels prepare for. Many are seasoned travellers like you and me and we'll be fine on our own in any country but many are beginning to travel as the economy of India is getting better.. also, many hotels have hot and cold water taps in reverse so it's good to caution a guest on that as well :)

Great vid dale I felt a sorry for you when you said it's Christmas Eve as you had no family to celebrate with on Christmas Day.i suppose the taxi journey was a cheap price when you think about it 5 hours drive for £42 GBp. Back home here you could only travel 1 hour would be £35/40 Scotland roughly so you got a good deal👌👍
both ola and uber gives estimated price before booking a cab...In this case he preferred ola outstation daytime cab which is cheaper than uber for long journeys.

You are talking about the bell boy...dude he is doing his duty it's all up to the management , it's every where in the world they will keep offering helps to you as a part of hospitality to make u comfort ..if u don't want any kind of help you can inform front office officially instead of cursing the staff after you gets helped by bell boy...it is your wish to give him tip or not and if someone is a gentleman once you got good hospitality (usually what everyone except from every hotel)they will definitely give tips to that person it is an unwritten law man...you are simply making video and insulting him am proud of that guy is doing his duty well....

Dale, Service Hospitality in Indian hotels is different as compared to the West. Usually at the time check in the guest is escorted by the Hotel staff and are demonstrated a mini room tour for a better familiarisation, you may consider it as a part of Standard operating Procedures. Tipping in many upscaled brands is considered derogatory and isn't appreciated.

Driver told British build the road is wrong information....actually British used only rop cars from bottom station to top station, that bottom station is located nearby to the palce where u had the tender coconut(bodi munthal)...there is a straight road u might saw it and that's will take u to bottom station(kurangani)

yeah coconut with flesh (malai) is a little bit expensive too. It usually cost 50- 60 rupees here in pune.
I think the room was expensive because maybe because it's the season for ourists.
