This game is SO fun. My friends and I have a blast playing it. I love being the announcer. I do an old timey voice and everything, but betting is super fun too. You just have to have a group that will get into the theme and you are going to have a great time.
One of my favorite games of 2022. I love how you had the calm Animal Crossing music playing over the frenetic horse race atmosphere the app announcer was trying to create. 🙂

yo you should do a try-all flavours of mrs. vickies kettle cooked chips. as far as I know you can only get them in ontario Canada but if you can get your hands on them I think you'd enjoy
I don't have the game so I could be wrong, but I think you get the token back regardless of outcome. So if you put a 2 token on a x1 space, you would always get the 2 token back. If the bet won you would recieve $2 (plus the original token). If the bet lost you lose the amount in the red circle (if there is one).
This game is just a simple math problem, right? % chance for each horse to win at the beginning: 4.8, 4.8, 11.0, 18.3, 22.3. I guess the idea is you have to memorize the odds charts for common "in-progress" configurations before you start playing. Riveting.
Good luck doing that math on the fly -- it's a real-time game. You'd have to be an AI to play this "Game Theory Optimally", and even then, it wouldn't necessarily be the best strategy because you could do better by reading the other players and adapting to their playstyle. Kind of like Poker
But if you go first, you cant move or bet or roll or use the app

This game seems incredible, now they just need to print some more units so we can actually buy it!
You can pretty much print and play it. Poker chips for money and A4 print for board plus some bet tokens.

Basically what Kaspian said e.g. bet 4 on the 1x with red circle -2, you win 4 or you lose 2.
