The Meta Quest 3 is finally out! Now VR is becoming a bigger thing and a lot more mainstream. VR, MR and AR being common things is something I had always dreamed about and I am glad we are getting closer and closer to it with this new Quest headset!
In this video I unbox this amazing new headset, plus I compare it to the Quest 2, and explain what accessories you can keep from the Quest 2 for the Quest 3!

i strongly suggested you to use the official quest 3 charger. also quest 2 dock use quest 2 charger. and quest 2 charger is weaker and not suited to charge the quest 3. also dont use quest charger with quest 2 dock. this is gonna be a problem for you later. be careful and have fun with quest 3. very good headset in 500$ price tag.
The Dock takes power from the outlet, since it plugged in to the wall. it doesnt have it's own battery as far as I'm aware, just a dock that transfers the charge from the outlet to the headset. The charging issues that people have talked about has to do with the charging headstraps, not docks. The issue with the headstraps is that wattage is weaker than what the quest 3 can handle from what I understand, making it so that the headstrap runs out of charge before the quest 3 is fully charged. I could be wrong in this as I did not look too much into it, since I never had a charging headstrap. But if the dock is under the same situation then ya it would be good to use a specific one for quest 3. But as far as I'm aware, using the dock isnt an issue like the charging headstrap. I've charged my quest 3 all the time since I got it using the dock, and nothing has indicated yet that the battery is not being fully charged or working. But again I could be wrong on the dock.
It is really expensive but especially for the 128gb version meta is loosing money on these headsets because ive heard somewhere that theu cost 400 dollars each just for manufacturing not including shipping and stuff so its pretty fairly priced for the hardware that you get
Ya I heard they are selling it at a loss but that they do so because they are confident in it, and really they should be, this headset is truelly something amazing! And hey it's better than the apple vission pro which is litterally 7 times more expensive and does only 1/3 of what the quest 3 can do (though the vision pro does some cool things the quest 3 doesn't, it's not worth the 7 times price increase)

Your lucky, i want a meta quest 3 but im stuck with the quest 2 but my quest 2 is still a good headset just something i hate about my quest to is my stick drift..
hope you can get the quest 3 soon! if not then I'm sure you can find a replacement controller for your quest 2!

I had ordered it from amazon! I had actually got it when I bought my Quest 2, thankfully it still holds the Quest 3 really well!

Thanks! And while the quest 3 is definitely overpriced, especially for the 512gb model, honestly its so much better than the quest 2 in many ways. I'm loving it.
@@project-zodiac6954From calculating the prices of the parts in the quest 3 it comes to around 400$. This is the lowest price they were willing to go, almost no profit for them.

I do reconmend getting the Quest 3, I have used it a good amount the past month and it's so much better than the quest 2. Even my family was extreamly impressed with it. Passthrough is so much better in color, and the AR/MR functions is also great! glad you enjoyed the video! let me know if you have any questions!
the charging port and jack on the arm makes total sense for not getting damaged when lifting the arm part while having accessories connected like external battery .
I didn't have any issues with the way it was on the 2, but I can see what you mean

This I bought at best buy, but any store that sells electronics and video games will have it, even amazon

you mean the carrying case? That I got for my Quest 2 last year before they announced the 3, its in my Quest 2 unboxing video. I got it from Amazon, and it works for the quest 3 pretty well!
