@@jonfelty6063 good to know! I’m attending the Worlds Largest RV show in Hershey PA, in September. Lance will be one of the exhibitors there and hoping they have this so I can check it out in person for the first time. I’ve actually, never stepped foot in any slide in camper and will be checking them all out and all other tow behinds at the show. Something we may consider in the future going full time RV living at retirement, but slide in is priority for being able to take out onto the beach. We plan on making our camper decision shortly after the show and then I have to decide on my truck to buy for it. I have till Nov when my Ram 1500 lease ends. DRW 4dr crew cab 8’ bed body, 450/4500 550/5500 is what I ultimately want. I’ve checked at least 30 dealer sites and everything DRW is diesel. There’s like no gas DRW in existence anywhere around me, so it maybe what I have to go with. Which the downside is losing about a 1000lbs of payload with a diesel. I have a family of 4, wife and 11 & 9 yr old. Primarily I’ll be using it a lot for weekends or weekdays at the beach at Jersey shore. I’m obsessed with saltwater fishing and wife and kids have there fun on the beach while I’m constantly fishing. Plan on doing multiple trips a year as well. Extended 4 day weekend trips up northeast like Adirondacks, Vermont, Maine, etc. Plus a week or 2 out west every year. Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, etc. Luckily I get a lot of vacation time at work and on top of it we have what’s called comp time. Instead of taking O.T. pay which we get a good amount of. I can opt to take it in comp time instead, which banks into time off, adding more days. Wife wants to travel all over and go to every national park there is and boon-dock places.

If nothing else, I just like watching your video’s for the comedy relief. On a serious note though, you really do a good job of showing these Lance campers. Very informative. Take care and have a wonderful summer.
That's the good price Brad shoe that's secret they don't want you to let us know tell you what these things are awesome I love watching you show them. Someday I'll have enough interest to buy one . Yes sir, beautiful.
They sent out a mass notice to dealers after I posted my last video last week showing my BSRP pricing stating from here out, we can no longer advertise below msrp. Doesn’t mean I’m going to stop selling under 😁
Great Video Brad; you definitely know your product. We purchased the Lance 1172 in 2021 and we have enjoyed traveling/sightseeing our beautiful country. We have made a few modifications for our comfort and it is bulletproof. The only major issue is the folding stairs. They will scrape/bend/break when traveling due to the pitch of the road. We removed the stairs and now use a folding ladder stair to access the camper.
This is a good review. I get a kick out of his honesty lol. Put someone you don’t care about on that mini couch that opens up lol. Just sounds funny. I like how he does a quick review of the truck campers. He gets to the facts and doesn’t run on for a half hour. I wonder how do people keep the wet bath from getting mold? I’ve never owned an RV of any kind so I don’t know.
Thank you for your feedback! On my previous camper with a wetbath I’d wipe it down and leave bathroom door open with bathroom vent on for about half an hour after use.
@It's Brad, testing the toilet space on Matt's RV Review channel is called a PRIME POOPING POSITION. It is either a pass or no pass grading system. And he is partial to preferring porcelain toilets over plastic.
This camper with both slide outs open is a bit over 180sq ft. According to Lance Director of Marketing,Bob Roger’s. In his interview with Truck Camper Adventure
Great video buddy very knowledgeable and entertaining. I have a 2005 Kodiak c4500 setup for the 1172..juat looking for a good price..shopping around. Thank you
Thanks, much appreciated! Sweet truck! Give me a call at (423)892-6272 tmw, I’m in office 9-5 M,T,TH, & F and 9-1 on Saturday’s! I can either price you a custom order exactly how you want or what we have coming for stock!
Most definitely, we used to haul a Ranger Z521C behind with a F350 dually! I should add that we had a hellwig swaybar, Airlift Ultimate 5000 Airbags, Onboard air compressor, and swapped the existing ford hitch out for the superhitch and 48” supertruss rated for 1,200lb tongue weight.
This may be a silly question, but I've been wondering why the sink in some campers have a strange shape in one of the top corners? This question has been rolling in my head for months.
Hey Brad. Question, usually when slides are in, they say not to use them as may damage slide, if you load up the bunk bed as storage with slide in, would it have an issue?
Great question, I don’t think so since the weight is over the supported side of the retracted slide out. Lance sends the heavy glow step stairs stored in the slide to us from CA. Little grill, couple camping chairs, etc would probably be around the same weight, maybe a little more.
It's ridiculous that for this price, Lance can't build something that you can access with the slides in. You would think that a benefit of a truck camper over a travel trailer or fifth wheel is that you can pull over to the shoulder of the road and use your bathroom...without opening a slide.
Spoken like someone who has never been around either lol We carried Host before Lance my guy, been there, done that. Wait until you have warranty issues. This is where reading comprehension comes to play, in the Title I type “one of” not the largest. NEXT!
Of course you would not be allowed to be upfront and give an out the door price. That might be called being honest.Wont find that in the RV industry...buyer beware.
Thank goodness you remembered to show us how the key rack works. I no longer will threaten to unsubscribe .You are the man!..lol
