  • FOUR-DIGIT HP YOU CAN BOLT-ON IN YOUR GARAGE! (IN A WEEKEND)
    Not long ago, it was hard work to make 400, 500 or even 600hp. Nowadays those are rookie numbers, and everyone wants that magic 1000hp. Yes, we are talking crankshaft horsepower here, same as your car is rated from the factory. However, with a little more RPM and some E85 in the tank likely that could be 1000 to the ground.
    THE SUPERCHARGED RECIPE FOR SUCCESS IS SIMPLE!
    The foundation was our company-owned bone stock 2019 Mustang GT. And we mean stock like still has the stock exhaust manifolds and mufflers stock, which we know usually are the first things folks change. We then added our standard ProCharger Stage 2 system, upgraded to P-1X head unit, and pieced together a fuel system, threw some good fuel in the tank, and floored it. And the results...well, EPIC!
    Modifications to this car:
    - ProCharger Stage 2 Tuner Kit (with P-1X head unit 3.70" pulley)
    - Home Built Fuel System (95lb injectors, lines/reg, twin hellcat pumps)
    Tuning and Fuel:
    - ProCharger's base tune (minor changes for injectors and fuel system)
    - High Octane Race Gas (E85 would also be a good option)

    **EDIT** YES, we know that Erik did the "math" incorrectly going from wheel HP to crank HP. (cause he was in a hurry and the camera was rolling). HOWEVER, no matter if you do the math right or wrong, its still over 1000 crankshaft HP. :)

  • @01gtbdaily30
    @01gtbdaily30 3 ปีที่แล้ว +40

    I hate to be “that guy” but the math used to get the estimated crank horsepower was wrong. You can’t take 13% of the 893 hp and get the total crank numbers . You have to use the 893 as the 87% and then cross multiply and divide to find out what X (crank hp) would be. So you multiply 893 whp by 100 which is the total amount of crank hp then divide by the 87 which is your known portion of the whp and you get 1026.4 crank hp .

      Always annoys me when people don't do their mathes properly, correct, when you're working out power train loss it's loss not a gain like he worked t out.. if it was making 1000 at the engine with 15% loss it 1000 x 15% - = 850 , you can't do it the other way because 850 x 15% = 978, the reason people are adding 15% is because +15% = 13% loss.... 15 / 115 % = 13.... simple maths... 1000 x 13% - = 870... 870 x 15% + = 1000

    ONLY thing I don't like about this setup is the fact to change/clean the air filter you have to remove the front bumper. At least it looks that way from the looks of it since it's tucked away under the bumper. I'd would of liked it like Vortech who put it inside the engine bay.

    No sane tuner will let you tune for 800+ whp on stock block. This is the grey area. It can throw a rod at any time. So keeping the exhaust stock won't help.

    • @ProChargerSuperchargers
      @ProChargerSuperchargers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      There are many that will on E85. This car is still exactly the same as it has been for years, and still can belt out a 950hp pull anytime we need it to.
      Sure it would be nice to have a built motor. But its amazing that the stock engine, is still singing a good song all these years later at such a high HP level.

      We actually just did another video that we did (2) more pulls back to back with this power level. (it actually made more). However we turn it back down, because this car gets daily driven at the 9.5psi boost level.

    I just don't see how this is worth triple the price of turbo charging a car when the turbo makes more power and gets better fuel efficiency.....don't get me wrong I have bought a couple pro charge kits over the years but after changing over to turbos on all my modded cars I have had it's been a night and day difference for more than half the cost Installed and tuned. Sick mustang though.

      There’s a twin turbo kit for the S550 Mustang that’s half the cost of the P1X kit and is just a reliable…? I don’t know about that one…

    • @JuanBrolo
      @JuanBrolo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@waltgodisney yes... It's called build one. And I wouldn't go twin turbo I would go single but that's a preference. For the gains a turbo is much more efficient in every way. And can make more power on the same amount of boost with lower temps.
      I'm not saying the product isn't good I am just saying the price is a bit much for what you get. This is the most basic of setups not all the bells and whistles for that price they are quoting.

    fyi just about any motor can make a 1000 hp once. you dont even drive that car under boost. its all fluff so big deal. there is obviously a reason why you swap out that pulley

  • @davidhaney2338

    OMG!! . You’re crazy if you think you’re going to be pushing over 900hp continuously on stock internals and stock tranny etc… that’s a ticking time bomb imo…. Let’s get back to reality here. You can push any of todays v8s to over 900 depending on boost. If you have a honest and good tuner I can guarantee they will tell you that’s not a good Idea but don’t cry when it goes bang shortly after. Basically what I’m trying to say is do your research, do the supporting mods and play it safe guys or it will cost you a lot in when that happens. To me this vid is just a sales gimmick to say hey for 8k you can have over 1000hp at the crank. But I still love my procharger. Is it worth it? Yes!
