And it's not even that I stopped listening to them during a long time and came back to them later, I've been listening to them all my life, and just never thought they were so great. I've listened to them at the very least once a month for like 6 years, but it's only after 6 years that they became one of my favourite bands all of a sudden. The thing that made me realize I loved them so much was probably listening to their album "Devotion" as a whole, it had been a while I was only listening to a few of their songs here and there, but listening the entire Devotion album made me realize they were special to me. And it's funny because I thought Devotion was their worst album by far at the beginning, and it's genereally their least popular album I think, along with Depression Cherry maybe. But I really fell in love with that album and that band.
I really think devotion is my favourite album of all time,,, it's such a special masterpiece that will always be so dear to me. They're a big reason why I want to make music so I really hope to find the Alex to my Victoria one day

It was really surreal. This has always been my favorite song of theirs. totally. i used to listen to this whole album every morning one summer. i had a much shittier job - hooking up new computers at schools and installing windows on them. did it with a friend so it wasn’t so bad, but man was that shit boring. got fired because i would blast lil b based freestyles from my phone speaker. in an empty school! was much younger and naive then. dumber. arrogant. definitely understood their music more when i started getting serious with women, falling in love, breaking up, etc etc

How is Devotion 16 years old? Beach House evolved and I love them just as much as I did back then yet this album pokes around at my insides in ways they likely never will again ❤

This song came out when I was 2, but I was already listening to them by the time I was 4. Their music had always been there growing up, and I consider Teen Dream to be the soundtrack of my childhood.
