that feeling is priceless. to evoque that feeling with a work of art is also priceless, it's their gift to us. a gift of love and kindness. a true message, unspoken, but breed carefully within our soften hearts.
Loved it. Introduced my mother-she and I went-she constantly when hearing their music afterwards will say “I can not believe how they sound live” . There is no auto tune or trickery with this talent.

Thats very true. I already saw them live two times. And they are eons better live. And they're already perfect in the studio versions!!! But this performance takes the cake confirming that
Like their music, I feel like Victoria's voice only gets better over the years and I've listened to all their records. There's deep maturity in it as well as a tinge of youthful sweetness. Just utterly beautiful.
I dunno, this world is rather gorgeous to me. I think that's what they say in their music too. We are all part of a natural order and they seem to find a way to flow beautifully into that stream. If anything, they seem very much of this world--this lovely, pale blue orb flung around some random star amongst countless others. Perfect? No. Just a tiny fraction of the procession of immortal atoms... But also, I know what you mean :-)
I get the song is not about my experience but idc... Lost both my older brother and my mom at the very tailend of 2020 and at night I used to listen to this before they passed... It was haunting then and even more haunting to me now... Takes my soul back to a time the people I loved weren't just figments of imagination as they are today, where the memories of them are only mine because no one else was there that can remember them now with me...I hear this song and I drift off like yesterday is as real as today... You know, that comforting feeling we all take for granted of being able to "go home," your original home with its people and the trappings that made it so...I can't any more so I'm haunted by yesteryear when I hear this
I enjoyed both soo much with them being released so close together i see them as a great companion piece . but to answer your question. I've put more time into Lucky Stars.
Impeccable performance. Although I'm mixed about her not playing the organ in this performance as she does in her live venues, it's sooooo fantastic to see her "just sing" sometimes, like at her Gene Clark No Other Tour and her collaborations with Jana Hunter, Air and Grizzly Bear. Wish I could've seen her sing this when I saw them live in August. Thanks for uploading!! xxx
Mi presentación favorita, los colores en el escenario encajan perfectamente con la canción sin contar el estilo de Victoria. Su voz sonó suave ❤ esta vez Alex casi no salió pero amé su voz en los coros❤
for me it started with Zebra. I heard it on the radio once with out hearing the name (now obvious). For more than an year I thought of that song until I finally came across it. Lucky me
Well, it hasn't really ended but I saw them in July anyway. Very few people were masked. I was out of my seat 100% of the time, and didn't get covid. I have covid now, ffs, that I caught from my son. Paxlovid is the bomb.
I saw them in March! My partner at the time and i were two out of maybe a handful of people masking at that concert, but it did mean that i managed to delay my first experience with covid until June. I hope you get through yours smoothly.
Hope you were able to see them. I saw Beach House at the Fillmore 2 days after this taping. Incredible. One of my top 5 shows of all time. Fortunately saw them in 2022 in Berkeley. Amazing. Waiting for that next tour, hopefully at some point down the road.
This band's getting too damn popular. They are playing my town in 5+ weeks but the 1200+ capacity venue is already sold out, as I discovered yesterday. %&$#
Good for them...and us. We keep getting to hear new beach house songs. Looks like someone just going to have to scrape up some extra dough to see one of the best living bands...
I had the same issue last month in Atlanta. Admittedly, the exact type of small and intimate venue that I would love to see Beach House in, but I couldn't get a ticket in time.
They're playing bigger houses now. I just saw them in a cool old opera house that was probably 3500 seats. They did two nights in NY and LA in similar sized venues. I'm glad they don't play arenas.
Her singing voice is very French, but her speaking voice sounds American. She's lived in America since she was a child. She went to high school not far from where I live.
I saw them 3 days ago and this was my favorite song they played. I knew if they played any song from this album, it was gonna be the best cauze I think it’s their best album
Simplesmente amo a Victoria, essa mulher é maravilhosa, tem um talento incrível, melhor momento da minha vida foi no show deles no primavera, já estou com saudades daquele momento
Id give anything to get to their show. In a world now full of bad rap and one line songs. This has always been hope. Edit: Time stops when Victoria sings.
I find myself wanting to fall deeply in love with someone when I hear Beach House

@@Melcatsite What did you drop?
This should shut anyone up who says there's no good music nowadays.
Exactly
Right? Ten years ago I used to be that dude. Then I started listening to other genres besides old school punk and expanded my horizons a bit.
The first group I mention when I hear someone say that.
@@iscream2232 Well done sir. Check out KEXP youtube. they always have new and different bands.
Beach House is a future timeless classic
It's unbelievable how good they are live!
The result of devotion et passion I suppose.
@@WilliamParkerer And experimenting with more heavier instrumentation and faster arrangements!
@@LordExarKun oh yeah the shoegazey soundscape they play with live is amazing
I’ve seen them quite a few times and they are incredible!!! Magical.

i envy you
This performance was so shockingly beautiful. I don’t think anyone watching this on Conan was expecting it

Beach House reminds me of the old days. They just have that sound that takes me back to so many moments in my life.
Hopefully ecstatic ones.
Yes yes exactly and they have that quality like from the '70s and '80s
This is perfect dream pop - I love this band, I'm a big Bowie fan and these guys just remind me how good music can be
steve logan I wonder if Bowie ever dabbled in Beach House. I know he had a vast array of musical interests.
steve logan SAME!!!
So true
What the fuck does bowie have to do with this shit?
SAME
Better than on record.
Thats very true. I already saw them live two times. And they are eons better live. And they're already perfect in the studio versions!!! But this performance takes the cake confirming that
That down note creates absolute harmony. Seldom heard.
Good but I wouldn't say that. They captured magic in the studio
I loved. 😍
this is one of victoria’s best performance
This one or “ppp” 👍
I don't know if she has children but imagine she sang to them to bed, how lucky they would be.
H - Town very lucky. We’re lucky to hear them as a band tho
nope
H - Town I thought that about John Lennon when I listened to good night
Mr Demonetisation Man he wrote that for his first son Julian but apparently Julian never knew that until he was an adult .
this is such a creepy comment but you're also right
I was at this taping. Had never heard of them. Was immediately captivated.
Conan loves beach house. It's obvious. Genuine appreciation.

Everyday I think about her.
It was great until the end when he told them how great they were. He should have said that part on his knees.
"Love me. See what I see tonight."
Strongest track emotionally on "Thank Your Lucky Stars", in my opinion.
+TheEthos Elegy to the void gets me as well
Zachary Diggins Yeah it's pretty good too. Which do you prefer, this or Depression Cherry?
I enjoyed both soo much with them being released so close together i see them as a great companion piece . but to answer your question. I've put more time into Lucky Stars.
Zachary Diggins See, I'm the other way around. I just can't enough of PPP.
+TheEthos i agree, one thing, Elegy to the void and somewhere tonight are my favorites
I am entranced by this song it is so beautiful. The song has a 1960s retro feel. Thanks for sharing it and the lyrics..so simple yet so enthralling
It doesn't have a 60s feel at all? lmfao. if I wanted to be a real dick..its 80s dream pop. Everyone wants shit to be the 60s so bad. It's bizarre.
Nah it's def 1920s great gatsby type vibe
Wait a girl was the lead singer the entire time? Tf been listening for 10 years. Always thought it was a dude singing
You are deaf or stupid or both

God Save Victoria Legrand and Alex !
Why do you keep saying this?
Beach House is amazing. Victoria’s voice really shows her French heritage she has the tone like Edith Piaf’s voice. She’s amazing!
Her singing voice is very French, but her speaking voice sounds American. She's lived in America since she was a child. She went to high school not far from where I live.

This performance is perfection! Loved seeing them on Charlie rose as well. Just a simple, dimly lit stage.
Jason from "Papercuts" killing it on the keyboard
He's good, isn't he? Thanks for the ID!
This is such a 90s vibe of a band, they would have been up there performing with Mazzy Star and Slowdive live two decades beforehand
The vocal Godess of modern day music. Hands down
We used this version for the first dance at my wedding.
