- Last week's episode (8x07) inspired me to make a video I have been planning to do for a few years now. I felt like there wasn't a good, recent video of all the times Barry decided to unmask himself to reveal his identity. In my pinned comment, I explain why some people, like Iris, were left out.

🚨I mixed up the season Crisis on Infinite Earths aired in. It was season 6, not 7. ALSO I know Iris isn't in the video, please read further for my explanation🚨
If someone wasn't in this video they either found out The Flash's identity themselves (like Iris!), were told off screen (like most of Barry's super friends) or simply saw Barry in his suit without his mask. I did include Amunet, Captain Cold and Kramer because Barry still unmasked in front of them, confirming their suspicion.

@@Taco_Ninja Barry and Iris told them off screen that Barry is The Flash. There's a scene in 7x10 where they just told Fuerza, and she's recapping that Barry's the Flash, she's a force of nature and that Iris and Barry basically birthed her. But there isn't a scene with Barry unmasking to reveal his identity to either of the forces, so that's why that isn't in this video.
@@BoWebb16 what about both the times iris found out in season one when Barry went to save the city from the title wave and the when joe gets captured by Grodd would also in season 3 savitar reviling his identity because he is Barry reveling to Barry

He exposed his identity to many, but couldn't to save his relationship with Patty, who already knew
Still pissed about that tbh. Those two had the best chemistry in the whole series and yet they managed to fuck it up by trying to force Barry and iris together.
Fr they were so good together. But they wanted it to be comic accurate and other shit. But look at arrow, Oliver and felicity isn’t comic accurate (I’m pretty sureu)
@@saizo7569 they weren’t comic accurate. Though they did still try to force Oliver together with at least three separate versions of black canary. Honestly arrow did what the flash should’ve which was look at the fan reactions to what was obviously a bad pairing and then just ditch the pairing.

Season 1 was easily the best season in The Flash. It just felt so fun to watch.

I think that the scene where Barry told his mum he who he is is was the most touching.

I know that Barry has told a lot of people his secret identity by choice but most people figure out who he is by themselves. I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole world knew who he was by now😂😂

Yeah like when the flash was in the speed force for 6 or 9 months I can’t remember when but Barry Allen also went on a “work break” from his job. So when Cisco was able to get the flash out of the speed force that’s when Barry Allen came back I know it sounds confusing as hell but i don’t get how the flash could be stuck somewhere but someone leaves the same day at the same time but no one understands it’s him
The problem with Barry revealing his true identity in later seasons is Because it takes away from the deep emotional impact. In the first season, joe initially knows it’s Barry because it serves as character development. Joe sees a superhero that defeated a supervillain, and realizes it’s his son, creating a sense of trust and faith in Barry. Snart learns Barry’s identity to show the importance of keeping his personal life secret, and that the flash team will need to face more sophisticated, complex antagonists. Later seasons seem to abandon this in favor of momentarily solving a mystery or crime in the span of a few episodes.

Or well he also revealed himself to many of the episode villains in season 1 too which he didn't need to do, lucky for him, most died.
The scene with Nora is one of the best acted scenes of the series, impossible not to get emotional!

Barry vibrated his face around Iris so she couldn't even see any part of him. She only figured out Barry is The Flash when she felt a spark touching both the Flash and a comatose Barry after he struck by lightning. And Amunet herself was told by Gregory Wolfe about trading a speedster in the mutahuman wing whom she had seen as Barry. So she recognized Barry as The Flash more because of what Wolfe told her rather just than meeting Barry as himself

did anyone else notice that every time you never actually see barry take his mask off on screen. i think its pretty tight irl so its a bit difficult to take off so every time he puts it on or off they make it 2 scenes and so in the second scene barry already has it off but they pretend hes taking it off.
yes! me and my sister would always just start cracking up whenever he took off his mask because never once (at least til s8 where they get special effects hood thing) does he take off the mask properly on screen. its always just this weird wiggle head movement, a shot from behind of him still wiggling and then back to the front to show him pulling it down to his neck. its so funny the little like, wiggle he does to fake getting the thing off its like buddy 🗿🗿🗿 we can all see whats going on there
i like how its been 8 years n you still never knew it was a zipper he had on. but that’s why in the first couple episodes of season 1 the mask was acc jus glue til they changed it to the zipper

Everyone who he revealed to, it was awesome, impactful, I really like it, felt like a lot of weight off everytime-
Way better than hiding ur identity and not trusting your family/friends
Not trying to go against you,.. usually heroes keep their identities a secret so they can protect those they love and those close to them. Which is Normal. Also, those who are really close can be the very one that betray you.. It is sad to say but that can happen. With so many knowing a hero identity, it can accidentally get out. This should have happen in the show. But For plot convenience in this show, I don't think they allow some of these instances to happen. In reality, this happens and I feel this take away the realism that should be in the show. To help make it better.
I kinda miss when red streak use to vibrate his face and vocal cords when he was talking to Iris West the first time when they met on the rooftop of Jitters the vocal cords we're funny not sure why he didn't do that to everyone else after words to bad.
I think he only did it with her because she was generally the closest one to his civilian life that didn’t know that he was The Flash yet and she was the one that he probably thought would recognize his voice compared to others that just come and go
