Watched these yesterday. I had forgotten how savage Billy's mom is in the first one. She strait up slaughters the first 3 gremlins without batting an eye then grabs more knives with a "Who's Next?" look on her face!
And I don't care what anyone says, Gremlins 2 was GREAT!
Throwing the one in the microwave has stuck with me since childhood, and I can never not recall that whenever I hear "do you hear what I hear?"
The Key and Peel production meeting for Gremlins 2 was actually how it went down.

Gremlins 2 is my favorite all time movie. Its jokes are so layered, VERY much of their time, but simultaneously timeless.
Gremlins 2 is fantastic. I watch it every Lincoln's Birthday.
I was fifteen when it came out and saw it in the theater five times. It was so fresh, wild, hilarious and all over the place, it was amazing. Huge love forever for this.

I slightly prefer Gremlins 2...might be cause HBO played the hell out of it growing up, so I watched it more than the original...and I'm a sucker for them getting "powers" 😂...all the tranformations were so cool to me, then rambo gizmo kicking ass!
It's the better movie, without question.

I enjoyed Gremlins 2. My favorite scene was when Marge got attacked by George (grumpy), Lenny (clumsy), and Daffy (silly) Gremlins at her kitchen show.. Also, Greta (the female Gremlin) was a hoot, too. 😂
Literally one of my favorite satire/parody horror comedies EVER. Jokes upon jokes upon jokes, but smartly written and delivered by earnest actors having a good time. The gremlins are even better than the 1st movie (puppetry wise and just "energy" wise etc.) and the metaness of it in 1990 was way, way ahead of its time. Even Wes Craven's New Nightmare was ahead of its time and that was only a couple years before Scream itself hit it big.
I LOVE Gremlins 2!!! Way more than 1! The creativity and comedy was off the wall with so much going in! I loved the variety of Gremlins created( the Brain, Bat, and Mohawk Spider being personal faves) plus the continuation of our Characters from the 1st! Also the star power was amazing( Hulk Hogan AND Christopher Lee?! HELL YES! ) and hilarity had me rewatching it over and over! Hell, I may need to rewatch this on Christmas! 🎄❤

I LOVE GREMLINS 2... just saying. It helped that I saw it at the Hollywood Vogue theater, where they shot the Hulk Hogan cameo. Super Meta.
Gremlins 2 was my favorite movie of the two. It was so outlandish.

Gremlins 2 was a pinnacle for me as a kid. Way better than the first one! Miss this kind of camp and wackiness in movies.

Gremlins 2 is by far the superior film. Could never have worked without the original, but it took everything that worked and made it so much better.
As a kid, I remember liking Gremlins..especially the Snow White scene..but it did scare me a little. When I Saw 2.. I remember laughing my little butt off. I was too young to pick up on the Meta aspect and I def didn't get all the pop culture references, but the Gremlins taking over a building that had so much potential for so many different gags was so much fun.
Watching both as an adult..I enjoy the 1st one...but I usually prefer to watch 2...I have the nostalgia of a happy moment in my childhood..I'm also able to appreciate the humor and jokes I was too young to understand..and knowing who Christipher Lee is as I got older made his appearance in this so wonderful to experience
And even with it's overwhelming 90sness ... the Meta aspects are just as relevant today..maybe even more so.

I felt like it was trying to do attack of the killer tomatoes sequel style mixed with robocop.
I'm not going to lie, I would've saved the Brain Gremlin. At the very least, he'd to be my stockbroker and personal trainer- just because you're such a Charming fellow!❤ Oh how i miss him!

I love return 2, yeah its no where near as good as the original but i watched return 2 before i saw return 1 so its a nice little nostalgia trip for me, so your not alone my fellow return 2 fan😀😱

Gremlins 2, is for those of us with a morbid sense of humor.
Director Joe Dante prefers this movie to Gremlins (1984).
The first Gremlins plays it straight. It has comedy, but all the characters take the world seriously as if it's their real world. Gremlins 2 was super disappointing to me as a kid, because it's basically a big Looney Tunes cartoon, and it treats the entire thing as a joke.
