With that being said the big screen is necessary. I personally don’t even own a personal computer, but I run 3 wrestling teams from hs to youth teams as well as teach. I do all of my planning organizing and even grading right from my phone 90% of the time. The other 10% of my teaching responsibilities is done on a computer at work. And sometimes I still default to my iPhone because I’m used to it and it’s in my pocket.

Galaxy S7 edge for example had a 5.5 inch screen but the overall body is almost as big as my iPhone 16 Plus. I think the sizes are just fine, it’s just that we compare screen sizes of today’s smartphones to the phones of the past which had big bezels.
This is such an interesting video! While I LOVE the design of the first iPhone generations, the bigger phones we have now are the best option for everything we do on them, Apple was the pioneer of such media/web heavy uses so it makes sense the phones became bigger with time, once they moved on from their initial “big phone” fear with the iPhone 6.

Yes, yes they have. i could easily reach all ends of my phone display on the iphone 6, now i cant even reach all ends of my keyboard on the pro maxes without accidental palm typing and i have big hands. the keyboard feature doesnt help much because the sharp corners jab into my hands
I have no issue using my iPhone 13 it has a 6.1 inch display and it’s brand new too. It was a bit of a learning curve compared to the SE 2020 because that phone had a home button and mine does not but I picked up on it pretty quickly, and it fits my hand
I dont have or would ever use a big phone so I dont know what it feels like in fact I was going to buy the 13 mini but i couldnt find it new so i got a new 13 from a carrier instead

One issue is the price, Folds are very expensive right now. But also, don’t under estimate Apple’s ability to make technology that already exists, suddenly way more mainstream.

My iPhone 16 pro max is perfect size. I have big fingers so my 16 pro max fits perfectly in my hands

Shipment numbers of foldable phones do not suggest that they are the future. Most people do not desire having a flip or foldable device. Ask Samsung.
