@@shutdahellup69420Well, If you were in their position, you'd feel like your life is being toyed with. There were BETTER ways to test them. I don't even know how people let his actions slide lmao. What he did was basically the President of the fvcking country vanishing without a trace, which is utterly IRRESPONSIBLE no matter how "good" his intentions are. Even then, the "test" to make sure that humans are capable of holding on without him is completely useless in the end because they still needed the Adepti. Zhongli is as bad as a leader Ei is. The only difference between them is that Zhongli had competent people in Liyue to oversee it like Ningguang and Ganyu in comparison to the ever apathetic Yae Miko and corrupt government officials. The only reason why Inazuma hasn't fallen yet was because Ei was there. Because she was there, the Fatui needed 500 years to corrupt the officials which could've been easily interrupted by Yae. Seriously, how come people praise that guy for being a better leader. I'd say Venti did a better job than Ei and Zhongli. What Zhongli and Ei did for the country was basically safeguarding the territory against enemies while relying on others to manage the territory. Sumeru and Monstad aren't any better as well. Mondstad's lack of ruling made everyone too "free". Which can have a LOT of consequences. As much as i love Nahida, before Traveller, she was basically useless as a ruler. While she did her best, doing your best sometimes isn't enough to call you a good ruler. Fontaine is the only country that I can say for certain that has a good ruling. It's mostly because of Neuvillete and Focalors being a good judge lol.
TLDR; Fontaine is the only country that actually has a good ruling. Every Archon so far is a bad ruler in general.

I just finished this Archon Quest tonight. I legit CRIED once I saw Xiao falling. And then I finally breathe again when I saw the light and it was like a dam burst out from my chest just knowing he was okay! Thank goodness my fiancé wasn't home else he would not have been comforting at all. I need to snuggle Xiao right now.

Its been a year now and I still can't believe it. This quest legit traumatized me. I got halfway (about when Xiao says he wants to make a will and then sacrifice himself) and I turned off the game for two days before coming back. I was terrified that we were going to lose Xiao. Since he's 1/6 characters that I really like, it would break my heart. I forced myself to go back and finish the quest and during this cut scene, I may have shouted when he decided to sacrifice himself. At the end I was so angry and upset that I just curled up in bed and cried. Seems silly to get so worked up over a character but after that, I took a hiatus from Genshin impact. I needed time to cool off after this quest. I think the two chasm quests we got were pretty heavy bombshells and emotional. Having them back to back just raised the stakes. Smart move by writers.
I hope you're okay now. I love Xiao too. I'm not only a Xiao main, but a Xiao protector. He deserves to be protected
@@jonawustkamp9811 Xiao needs someone who can be a strong partner when the time calls but also gentle when necessary. I totally agree. I am fine by the way. Emotional blips like that are rare for me so it might have been the product of stress I was under too. Good to see a Xiao protector out there. I consider myself a Xiao Partner but it's not all that different. I have 6 characters in particular that are part of my husbando team: Childe, Albedo, Xiao, Diluc, Wanderer (Named Matsu), and Alhaitham. Xiao, Matsu and Albedo are my big three...I'm a little overprotective there. To be fair though, Mihoyo gave them each great background stories.
@@ladyonyx3811 That's interesting! In Xiaos case I think I see myself more as the older brother. I can't help but think that it's the safest kind of love, if you know what I mean. My top favorite charakters are just similar to myself. I share one important trait with each of them. It's amazing how much one can learn about themselves by thinking about genshin charakters. Their personalities are well written and I agree with you on the great background stories, especially with the charakters you listed. Albedo was my first 5 star so he holds a special place in my heart. I also really like all the charakters you listed. But my favorites are Xiao, Zhongli, Thoma, Kazuha and Tighnari. @@jonawustkamp9811 Hi there! I agree with learning about ourselves from these characters. Xiao is about sacrifice, loyalty and duty. I've always sacrificed my happiness for others to the point where everyday was misery. "All things are impermanent and to exist is to suffer." That was my motto. I still think it holds some weight even today. As someone with C-PTSD, this line represented how I felt for most of my life. Xiao believes that he is cursed/stained and beyond redemption. I can't even tell you how much I relate to that. However, I really respect the character and wish he wouldn't forget that people need HIM more than his sacrifice. Albedo's different from other "normal" people. He's always mentioned that there is a distance between him and others, a bridge he can't hope to cross. I've been different than expectations too and been spurned by others. However, Albedo's drive for finding the truth despite others' opinions and roadblocks really reaches me. I'd rather find the truth for myself than listen to someone who claims to know the answers to life.
Wanderer is complicated. At first I hated him. I was suspicious of him during unreconciled stars and his arrogance annoyed me to no end. As Lumine, I looked forward to our contention. Then Sumeru came out and I watched that first cutscene with Haypasia. My blood chilled when I heard, "So I said good riddance. I denouce the world and laugh in its face." This threw me back to 16 years old again, when I gave up on acheiving my parents love and respect. Reality had set in that my family betrayed me. I had first admitted then that I suffered abuse from that same family who were as two-faced as they come. Before i completely went down that path, someone precious in my life became a friend and later a brother to me. He led me off that path. Scaramouche went down that path and didn't have someone to pull him away. Learning the truth of his past and being forced to confront his pain like I did, made me actually really like him as a character. He's still an arrogant asshole sometimes but he's lonely underneath. I can understand that. Sorry for the long rambles. I don't know what came over me to share that. I'm just glad someone else sees relateability of these characters. Excellent writing indeed by creators. They need some awards or something.

This quest is the only one that can make me really cried hard. Like i was cried when yelan shout Xiao! but, i was relieved when xiao get saved by zhongli and not long after that, i got really cried when another scene coming up which tell us the past about bocasius and boyang. Holy shit man, 2.7 is really a great time to get roller coaster of emotional damage all around

As soon as I saw the geo orbs saving Xiao I knew that it was Zhongli, truly the best cutscene in an archon quest in Liyue by far..

that was right before this patch so it's easy to get mixed up. Both chasm quests were quite heavy and back to back makes those lines tend to blur.

The thing is, this quest was directly intertwined with an event where you got a free bow and I’m also pretty sure it was time gated too (which doesn’t help it feeling like an event). I think it was maybe a domain/trial run/combat type of thing? Idk what the quest is like without the event but yeah, I still think this is an event sometimes
