I find it so fitting that Fontaine, the Nation of Hydro, really had a tearjerker of a story. Really brings out the hydro in everyone's eyes xD

Each one is supposed to get better and better. Besides Sumeru’s quest was unique and amazing in its own way. I love the way Nahida broke the illusion around wanderer to, such a twist

i liked sumeru to be honest, fontaine only got better in 4.2 (the whale cutscene)

Honestly, as a whole, personally, Sumeru's can't be topped (yet maybe), but certain parts and especially Masquerade of the Guilty, are in a league of their own.
16:46 It's clearly the most moving moment when Furina leaves the Opera realizing that the prophecy was wrong. I almost shed all the tears I had, it's so heartbreaking. 500 freacking years playing comedy non-stop, Furina you are incredible 😭😭💖
For me that scene was heartbreaking because in that moment she still doesn't know the plan worked; she doesn't know she saved everyone. She walks out of that door thinking the prophecy was just "wrong."
She doesn't actually find out that she saved everyone until a good bit later. Neuvillette confirms during his story quest that he was the one who told her, after realizing himself that she didn't know.
Man everything in Fontaine has been frigging fantastic.
I especially liked the bit during the Furina Rewind where you realize that the voice you could hear crying in the fountain was Furina herself.

@@WillDissolver It must feel horrible for her to believe at first that all those 500 years worth of trauma had been for nothing and that nothing would happen with or without her efforts.
I'm so glad Neuvillette actually was able to tell her because without it she would seriously end worse

that’s what she and pretty much the rest of fontaine thinks- but the prophecy was not wrong. neuvilette simply changed it by declaring he forgave the people of fontaine’s sins and turned them into true humans. notice how fontaine still flood and furina still sat on her throne and weeped as the prophecy foretold? the only thing changed was that the people of fontaine did not dissolve because primordial sea water no longer affects them anymore after neuvilette declared them as true humans. the prophecy was completely true, it’s just that neuvilette (with the help of furina & focalors) changed it
Considering that most of them including I start bawling, this Fontaine is truly a region of Hydro

I love how hoyo put the part where skirk just yeeted childe back in the portal like a ragdoll just to give players a little laughter after that depressing quest

I just noticed how the trio (Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet) just dove into the water KNOWING that the concentration of primordial water in the sea have been rising. Straight up jumped in just to help people.
I mean navia resurfaced and got some boats to help people so i think they know its safe to dive in
For relevance when Furina stuck her hand in the bowl during the trial she was 100% sure it would kill her. That why everyone else was so shocked; they just watched her stone faced commit suicide to protect ...whatever it was she was protecting...

It really is a shame knowing people hate them meanwhile they are the only ones in the water helping people. Not talking down on the others but people need to understand that just because someone had the title of Fatui, doesn't mean they have ill intent. They honestly deserve so much better then what they got.
The other archon quests don't even come close, this was INSANE.

I don't think I've ever gotten so attached to Fontaine background music. In the cutscenes, Genshin Impact did a great job of playing it to suit the setting. And I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

I am so dumb. The theme of Fontaine is that of the story similar to Jesus the whole time. The cross shown in the Traveler E skill? The cross-like sword that fell upon Furina? Furina, a mortal with godhood sacrificing herself to cleanse all sin? AND THEN BEING REBORN? I love this game.

It started from Sumeru having forbidden knowledge. Adam ate the forbidden fruit and transfers his sin to his descendants. It's called the "original sin", tada!

Every time a new archon quest opens, Hoyoverse always shows an extraordinary increase in story quality. Hopefully in Natlan there will be no decline in the quality of the story. Because this is the first time I've played the game until I shed tears and made this feeling hurt. Fontaine lore 10/10 this ART OF THE GAME
I'm wondering how they top this because there's no way they can make it sad again like Fontaine. Sumeru was sad too, not as much as Fontaine but still. And really what I mean is it doesn't need to be topped but equal in it's own way.

Since the archon quest I've fell in love with Furina. Focalors defide the heavenly principles of Teyvat and let Neuvilet gain his authority.

I remember when I started the Hydro Archon quest: "Furina is just... overdone and enh." Then when you get to the events shown in this, I've gotten MAD respect for Furina. And Focalors's plan was simply breathtaking.

I am still recovering from this archon quest. Never did I think a video game would make me cry. This Archon Quest.. No this whole story is more than a game. It a journey that not only has highs but lows. HoYo has really outdone themselves.
