    Hey, just got my machine today. What I find strange is, that I can only get my portafilter into the 6oclock position with really strong force. That shouldn't be right?! Does it have to be in the 6oclock to brew espresso? Ty!

    HI - Great review - i have one on order - but can you tell me if the group head is angled forward as many say they are - pictures show it angled forward ? i find it strange to build it on purpose that way ?

    • @tigerag29607

      no, usually recommend doing it once a week, or maybe every 2 weeks if you keep your group head and portafilter real cleean.

    hello, I have a Profitec go which I bought it recently, the problem I have is that the pressure gage goes up after 2 -3 seconds and gets to 9 bar and starts extracting , I was wondering if it can be increased to 6 or 7 seconds? it seems there is no pre infusion at all. I get 36 gram of espresso on 18 grams in 25 seconds. thanks

    How do you only use the bigger basket, won’t there be too little coffee in it if you’re doing a single shot coffee? I thought you wanted the tamp to be about 8mm from too in either basket

  • @monotonouslife2125

    I got the problem that the coffee comes out way to fast. I got 75 g after 23 seconds while I’m already got the finest grind on my grinder. I also tried to use up to 20 g of coffee but i always have the same problem. What do you think could solve this problem?

    This may be a stupid idea, but could you mark the pressure screw at say 3 bar and 9 bar and then manually change it during the shot to do pre-infusion? Obviously this would be a pretty inconvenient workflow...

    • @18banderson
      @18banderson ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You can just open up the steam wand to pre infuse

    Do you recommend the machine for a beginner? Currently looking for an espresso setup with my budget being 1600USD between espresso machine and grinder, would you be so kind to recommend any setup? Thanks!

    • @WMDistraction
      @WMDistraction ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m personally planning on either a Fellow Opus or Baratza Encore ESP and this for a setup that can do espresso and filter. The machine was directly recommended to me as a good starter machine in this budget.

    • @ThomasKleinschmidt
      @ThomasKleinschmidt ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Me too. But with your budget you can certainly get a decent grinder. I heard the Encore didn't have as precise a grind option as say the Sette 270. But the Sette 270 is a dual purpose...I can grind for coffee and get a very decent espresso grind with a finer setting. I've seen a few folks pair the Profitec GO with a Eureka Mignon Facile Grinder (only for espresso)

    • @LorenzoNW
      @LorenzoNW 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Without question, the Turin DF64 Gen 2 grinder from Espresso Outlet. Nothing competes with it at it's price point. And keep in mind, the grinder is more important than the espresso machine. BTW, the Baratza Encore does NOT grind for espresso.

    Just received my Profitec GO and set it up as per this video and the instruction manual but now whenever I turn it on to preheat, for some reason it keeps going up beyond the 92 degrees I set on the PID? If I leave it for 5 minutes or so it will reach 110-120 degrees and start flashing with "FLU" telling me I need to flush the steam. Does anybody have any ideas if this is an issue or what? If I turn it on, flush the boiler then let it preheat then it stops at 92 but if I don't flush, it keeps going wayyyyy past it. Maybe a faulty machine or is this how it should be?

    • @MrBblack92
      @MrBblack92 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is to make the heat up process quicker. Should be 7ish min. Flush and ready..

    • @ralphkerschensteiner

      Flush to heat up the portafilter before extracting the first shot. The intend regular procedure paired with the advantage of the fast heat up.

    It's only talk, talk and talk.
    How about making an espresso?
    Complete worthless.
    I have been using the Profitec Go for some weeks.
    It's the most noisy espresso machine I have ever encountered.
    It's more like a rattle snake.
    Driptray already broke.
    The lid of the water tank is just a loose piece of cheap metal.
    There is no dedicated hot water switch.
    So makimg Americano's is tricky.
    The water tank is cramped within rhe body and as a consequence the thin body panels are already distorted there.
    Design is boxy and outdated.
    Cut corners all around.
    Before frothing the milk you have to purge the steam wand twice.
    It's more like a washing machine.
    The Profitec Go is already put on sale on TH-cam.
    For me it was a huge disappointment.
    There are far better choices.
    Like the Bezzera Hobby.
    Nice design with rounded corners
    Decent build quality.
    A powerful milk frothing system.
    There is even a dedicated hot water switch.
    The vibrationpump is more. quiet.
    And the lid of the wster resevoir has a hinge.
    Very comfortable.

  • @CarlaHiddema

    Because of the rewarding reviews I did order the Profitec Go.
    After a week of use I returned it.
    I encountered too many irritations and annoyances.
    The build quality is poor.
    Cut corners and sharp edges all around.
    When pulling a shot the vibration pomp makes a hard ratling noise.
    Very irritatating
    The driptray is wacky.
    The lid of the water tank is just a piece of metal on top of it.
    Working with the pid is very awkward because it's located at a very uncomfortable place.
    Before making steaming the milk you have to purge the steamwand twice.
    It's more like a washing machine.
    The body panels are connected to each other in a very cheap way.
    The ECM Casa Classika is a far better choice.
    The vibration pump is more quiet.
    Stainless steal boiler for the best tasting espresso.
    And easy in maintenance.
    Larger watertank and driptray.
    High end build and finish.
    Somewhat more expensive but a 1000% more quality.

    • @bluemystic7501
      @bluemystic7501 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No PID or shot timer on your ECM. Looks to be lower clearance below the portafilter too. That would annoy me.

    • @CarlaHiddema
      @CarlaHiddema ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bluemystic7501
      The ECM Classika pid has no dedicated pid and shot timer???
      You are joking.
      And there is much more clearance compared to the Profitec Go.
      ECM and Profitec are the same company.
      ECM is high end and Profitec somewhat on a lower level.

  • @eliseflower8014
    @eliseflower8014 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For nearly a thousand dollar I am expecting a decently built espresso machine.
    The Profitec Go definately isn't.
    Cut corners and sharp edges all around.
    The lid of the water reservoir is just a piece of cheap metal sitting loosely on top of it.
    It moves freely in all directions.
    The driptray is small, wacky and doesn't slide in neatly as well.
    Metal on metal.
    Great chances are within a month it will be broke.
    Very bad quality.
    When the vibration pump is working it's all about a ratling noise because of the metal parts.
    De bodypanels are connected to each other in a very cheap way.
    The pid display is located at a inconvenient place.
    Take care not to burn your fingers.
    As for build quality and finish the Profitec Go is a disaster.
    Purging twice before making a cappuccino is rather annoying.
    The ECM Casa Classika is a far better choice.
    Stainless steel boiler for the best tasting espresso.
    Vibration pump is more quiet.
    Superieur build and finish.
    Larger watertank and driptray.
    Anyway far more pleasant to work with.

    Good video, but you actually want 10 bar registering on the OPV as that is 9 bar to the group head.
