Breath deep, enjoy the motion and the feel of every stitch. I was taught how to stitch when I was in a dark place after losing my mom at the age of 16. Since then it has always been my therapy and has helped heal me through many trials in life.i am going to pray it does the same for you! Brenda and Laura- Even though I have never met you both, you inspire me to create and to be a better person. Your videos have helped inspire me through some very tough times during the last year and a half. The way you both light up at each other's work and projects is something truly special in the cross stitch community, but any community. I never thought there were other people out there that enjoyed cross stitching as much as I did, until I found "flosstube"! Your channel is absolutely my favorite. I hope Brenda gets through this time safe and sound. Loosing a kitty (or any pet) is so hard- they ARE you're family. I can't imagine being sick and also loosing a kitty. Brenda, my heart aches for you on the loss of your fur baby. Sending healing prayers and energy for you. I visited Illinois this past weekend from Texas and enjoyed a visit to the Inspired Needle. I don't have a very close LNS, so it was nice to get in to a store with so many patterns, so much fabric and just so much!

May I start by saying I understood everything Mike said - but, I am from Melbourne! 😂. Very funny. Brenda, darling, my heart goes out to you - life can stink sometimes. Firstly I’m sorry for the loss of your fur-baby, big hugs. Now, I don’t know what’s happening, but I can tell you - when I started having radiation I stitched like crazy. Four and a half years ago I had uterine cancer and when they opened me up it was also cervical cancer - I was cut from naval to groin and then it healed wrong and I ended up attached to a vac pump for five months (I carried it everywhere and had to sleep with it) with nurses coming to my home every day. During that time I also had to have radiation which makes you really tired. But, during my month in hospital I couldn’t stitch, but as soon as I got home and I was ordered to rest I started to stitch like crazy. In August I’m praying it will be my last visit to Peter Macs, the cancer hospital, and I’ll be told I’m in remission. My hubby was a soldier (my Anzac man) and then a gravedigger - then he suddenly got sick. His kidneys collapsed, he was on dialysis for almost six years, he then got a kidney transplant, then he got endocarditis which resulted in him having to have two mechanical heart valves (he was on life support in a coma). He’s medically retired now at 62 and is enjoying life. The love of our family, friends and our Faith got us through. The 23rd Psalm is important to me, on my first radiation session as I laid there not allowed to move the “fight or flight” panic set in and the only thing I could think of was The 23rd Psalm. Maybe it will help you? You are in my prayers, sweet lady ... we are Facebook friends, so if anything resonates with you and you need a yack, please don’t hesitate to reach out. One day I hope you both come over to visit The Crewel Gobelin - I will drive up to Sydney to take you out to lunch! Or, better yet, visit Melbourne, too - I live on the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula. So, to finish ... Father God, look upon Brenda with mercy, lay Your healing hand upon her to restore her to full health again. Comfort her in her suffering, guide the hands of the medical practitioners in their treatment and bring strength to those supporting her. Lord, lift her up in this blessing. I pray this in your awesome name. Amen.

Brenda, I am so sorry you lost your little buddy. He was so special and I understand your heartbreak. A couple of years ago, I had colon cancer and had the same feeling about not having the desire to be sewing. That was some years ago now but last week we had to let our cat who was 5 years old go. So know how you will be missing yours. Ms Brenda, it is very hard to lose a furr baby that has been with you a long time! Our Jasmine passed away in March and I still miss her. She was a sweet little dog that had a lot of quirks. In fact, that's how I got back into stitching again last year -- I couldn't knit. So I started stitching again and it felt so good and was perfect for the stress. Brenda my heart goes out to you. I love ❤️ my pets so much and can’t imagine being with out them. Right now I’m battling COVID-19 and have been in the hospital for 2 weeks. I truly miss my pets and my family. It looks like I will be here at least until Mother’s Day and maybe longer. I do not have the energy to stitching but I hope it gets better. It is so hard when are pets pass on, your right never ready for it. Sending positive thoughts on your health issues. I enjoyed the NEW cue card system, lol! The haul was fabulous. I had ordered Mildreds Garden for my BBD stitch in honor of my mom whos name was Mildred ( a gardener she was not) but she would have loved the house, rats I didn't have all the threads so maybe in June. Hello ladies!!! Thankyou for another wonderful episode! Dear Brenda, I'm so sorry to hear about your ill-health. I'm not a 'pray-er' as such, but I'm sending all my best wishes, love and hope to you from here in Liverpool, all the way across the Atlantic, for an easy and speedy recovery and I'm sure you'll be back to stitching at your usual pace, in no time!! So sad to hear about Howard's passing. He's such a beautiful boy and I'll remember him fondly from the tiny snippets of him we got to see in the videos. I lost a furry friend a few years ago, who had also been with me for 17 years. Two very difficult things to work through, I know, but know that you have a community here who loves you dearly and will be with you every step of the way, good or bad. The blackbird SAL weekend just goes to show how we can all pull together and support. There's so many amazing projects that I literally can't keep up with the speed of people's posts on Instagram! I know you said you do not stitch when you are going through a hard time but, I challenge you to pick up your needle and with each pass through the fabric, picture the stitch healing you. Breath deep, enjoy the motion and the feel of every stitch. I was taught how to stitch when I was in a dark place after losing my mom at the age of 16. Since then it has always been my therapy and has helped heal me through many trials in life.i am going to pray it does the same for you!

Brenda and Laura- Even though I have never met you both, you inspire me to create and to be a better person. I don't have a very close LNS, so it was nice to get in to a store with so many patterns, so much fabric and just so much!

May I start by saying I understood everything Mike said - but, I am from Melbourne! 😂. Very funny.
Brenda, darling, my heart goes out to you - life can stink sometimes. Firstly I’m sorry for the loss of your fur-baby, big hugs. Now, I don’t know what’s happening, but I can tell you - when I started having radiation I stitched like crazy. Four and a half years ago I had uterine cancer and when they opened me up it was also cervical cancer - I was cut from naval to groin and then it healed wrong and I ended up attached to a vac pump for five months (I carried it everywhere and had to sleep with it) with nurses coming to my home every day. During that time I also had to have radiation which makes you really tired. But, during my month in hospital I couldn’t stitch, but as soon as I got home and I was ordered to rest I started to stitch like crazy. In August I’m praying it will be my last visit to Peter Macs, the cancer hospital, and I’ll be told I’m in remission. My hubby was a soldier (my Anzac man) and then a gravedigger - then he suddenly got sick. His kidneys collapsed, he was on dialysis for almost six years, he then got a kidney transplant, then he got endocarditis which resulted in him having to have two mechanical heart valves (he was on life support in a coma). He’s medically retired now at 62 and is enjoying life. The love of our family, friends and our Faith got us through. The 23rd Psalm is important to me, on my first radiation session as I laid there not allowed to move the “fight or flight” panic set in and the only thing I could think of was The 23rd Psalm. Maybe it will help you? You are in my prayers, sweet lady ... we are Facebook friends, so if anything resonates with you and you need a yack, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
One day I hope you both come over to visit The Crewel Gobelin - I will drive up to Sydney to take you out to lunch! Or, better yet, visit Melbourne, too - I live on the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula.
So, to finish ... Father God, look upon Brenda with mercy, lay Your healing hand upon her to restore her to full health again. Comfort her in her suffering, guide the hands of the medical practitioners in their treatment and bring strength to those supporting her. Lord, lift her up in this blessing. I pray this in your awesome name. Amen.

Brenda, I am so sorry you lost your little buddy. He was so special and I understand your heartbreak. A couple of years ago, I had colon cancer and had the same feeling about not having the desire to be sewing. Brenda my heart goes out to you. I love ❤️ my pets so much and can’t imagine being with out them. Right now I’m battling COVID-19 and have been in the hospital for 2 weeks. I truly miss my pets and my family. It looks like I will be here at least until Mother’s Day and maybe longer. I do not have the energy to stitching but I hope it gets better. Hello ladies!!! Thankyou for another wonderful episode! Dear Brenda, I'm so sorry to hear about your ill-health. I'm not a 'pray-er' as such, but I'm sending all my best wishes, love and hope to you from here in Liverpool, all the way across the Atlantic, for an easy and speedy recovery and I'm sure you'll be back to stitching at your usual pace, in no time!! So sad to hear about Howard's passing. He's such a beautiful boy and I'll remember him fondly from the tiny snippets of him we got to see in the videos. I lost a furry friend a few years ago, who had also been with me for 17 years. Two very difficult things to work through, I know, but know that you have a community here who loves you dearly and will be with you every step of the way, good or bad. The blackbird SAL weekend just goes to show how we can all pull together and support. There's so many amazing projects that I literally can't keep up with the speed of people's posts on Instagram! Many, many beautiful pieces in the works!! Much love to you both! See you in two weeks!!! Hugs!!

I always look so forward to seeing you both. I am so sorry, Brenda, that you have been dealing with difficult things. It hurts so bad when we lose one of the four-legged furry family members. You are most definitely correct. We are never ready, and they are just as much part of the family as anyone. I do hope that things get better healthwise, too. I will most definitely keep you in my prayers. Both you and Laura are so blessed to have each other. It is a beautiful friendship to watch as you interact and share you love of stitching. I hope that you will both be well and happily stitching along daily! You are both very special ladies.
