Playing some Whirr and Nothing with a patch I made that is a good general starting place for a lot of modern shoegaze. You can adjust the effect settings from here to taste. Think of it as a starting point
@@Ian-Threaded yeaah it really helps. i got G1 Four (almost the same model) and wanted to make mbv or lsd and the search of god type tone so i started here and got almost what i wanted
@@Ian-Threaded appreciate it man, because of your pedal demos it actually convinced me to by a hizumitas, really appreciate what you do for the shoegaze/alt rock community bro and your guitar tutorials are some of the simplest to understand on youtube keep doing what you do man
@@Whirrloverr yo thank you so much! Kindest words ever for real. And that’s so exciting. I’ve watched so many videos on the hizumitas. Looks super cool and I just love Earthquaker in general. Would love to see you play some whirr or something demoing it once you get it. There are never enough videos showing shoegazy riffs and sounds with them. Muff sounds are really starting to grow on me. It was the only distortion/fuzz I used on the first 3 Strayline singles
@@Ian-Threaded I’m actually working on a halley cover and I actually learned most of it through your tutorial, I’ll definitely throw up here on youtube now for sure if you wanna check it out, hopefully I can get it out within a week or too, and as for whirr stuff I’ll definitely be working on either mumble or heavy i haven’t decided
@@Whirrloverr that would be sweet to see and hear. Also im sure you’re aware but I have the basic rhythm guitar chords for the verse wrong in that lesson. I think the rest is right though. I got overconfident and messed up the simple part

Going to load up my G1X Four with these settings and give it a try!
@@Steven-kj7xq let me know what you think! They are just a good starting point. I love this unit
@@Ian-Threaded Will do! I really love this thing too.
That sounded very nice, what is the song from the last riff u played?
That was me looping the rhythm guitar chords of Threaded - Terminal and just playing some improvised lead notes over it - I’m glad you liked it
thank you so much for the video
@@kurbloris you’re very welcome! Thanks for the comment. I hope this helps you out as a starting point and you can tweak from there

@@kurbloris awesome! That’s great to hear. Hoped I could help people get in the rough ballpark like you seem to have done and succeeded
you should checkout starve by trauma ray and if you really mess with it you should make a tutorial🙏, awesome showcase btw
@@Whirrloverr will do. Absolutely love trauma ray. Remind me if I don’t get to it soon. Sick name by the way
