Validation is transient and subjective. To place more faith in yourself is key, you like others because you see something of yourself in them or something you lack.
Looking for your answers in others is always confusing rather than comforting. Remember that you were born alone and will die so the in-between is not so different.

Give it a try, when you feel called, it really can bring up a lot in regards to being seen and baring oneself, seeing all these different reactions and still anchoring oneself inside, it's a very strengthening process, and sometimes like going through fire. Like in the dream. ;)
