      Also, rewind any time you pause. I've seen other reactors pause to comment on one thing, but then miss the bigger picture since they paused mid lyric.

    If you have never been to a live show before then this is the one you MUST go to!! I have seen a ton of bands live and Tyler and Josh blow them away! Not only is Tyler’s voice incredible, but they are very interactive with the crowd and the production is sick! For it only being two of them on stage they will keep you fully engaged the whole time! A couple of other songs where Tyler screams is Goner live at Fox Theater and Jumpsuit.

  • @zoator1910
    @zoator1910 หลายเดือนก่อน +51

    Goner live at Fox also has some crazy good vocal fry. While you're on the Fox Theater stuff, you MUST check out Trees, which is the song they have always ended the show with. Spectacular.

    Their songs will always sound different/more energetic live, because as Tyler says, their music is created in a live setting. The music is always recorded and constructed having in mind how the track will sound live. The live shows are what makes them stand out. Tyler also mentioned how he spent more time working on the tracks and stems for the clancy tour than he did on the clancy album itself. That really puts into perspective what twenty one pilots is about. And i'm sure whatever you react to by them, you won't be dissappointed!!

    • @girlwithnoname956
      @girlwithnoname956 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yes, a lot of that extra work is due to the transitions between songs. They really slay those transitions in Clancy Tour. Soon many fantastic live transitions.

  • @lindseyk60
    @lindseyk60 หลายเดือนก่อน +40

  • @carenecitter2435

    1) The reaction to the backflip…same 😂 ☠️
    2) If you ever get a chance to see them live, you will not be disappointed. The energy and the experience is nothing short of amazing.
    3) The black paint on his hands and neck represent his insecurities about his writing, vocals, the message he’s putting out to the world.
    4) The drums, the energy and the heartfelt screams…YES!!!!

  • @USArmyWife1982
    @USArmyWife1982 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

    First off, as a long time tøp fan, it’s always an absolute joy watching new folks get into their music and enjoy it, and these reactions are the highlight of my days.
    Myself and most other clique members will never complain about longer videos, we love it all.
    When it comes to the screams Tyler actually does more screaming live than he does in the songs originally. The pain on his hands and neck is showing the manifestation of his insecurities regarding his singing and music writing abilities.
    Any song you react to of theirs, we will always show up, but as a musician you may really find their MTV unplugged session fascinating. Most artists normally come on there and play acoustic stripped down versions of their music but Tyler and Josh said “nah” and instead show you how they build it out and in some songs even use audience participation for it. It’s brilliant.
    Also, you are right about their live performances. I’ve been to hundreds of shows and their live performance is hands down the best I’ve ever seen. They just finished the first leg of their Clancy Tour in the US and hoping their announce another!!

    • @girlwithnoname956
      @girlwithnoname956 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I hope you don't mind if I chime in on the MTV Unplugged. Toci, you will love it! For sure. But make sure you react to the full ~40 minute set. There are short videos just of each song but those are missing the parts between songs, which is really important. Trust us! You can always cut your reaction into song segments for upload, but taping your reaction should be to the full ~40 minute set.

    • @USArmyWife1982
      @USArmyWife1982 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes, 100%. I wouldn’t react to each individual song video but the whole thing, otherwise you miss a lot of the interaction with the fans and seeing how brilliant Tyler and Josh are when in their element. It’s a super special look into their process and should be watched as a whole.

    I've found myself checking your channel on a daily basis for new twenty one pilots reactions, cause it's been a while since i've seen a reactor put so much thought into analyzing everything from them, from the melody to the lyrics and overall energy of the band. It's great to see practicing artists enjoy what has been my comfort music for almost 9 years. As a recommandation for some proper Tyler screamo I'd say Ruby, which is an older and lesser known song from them.

    This, and many songs, is about mental health. Particularly at night, depression is worse. Those with thoughts of self harm, I think he is saying to take control of your mind -- fight it! It's a message to stay strong! "Lean with it, Rock with it, When we gonna stop with it? Lyrics that mean nothing, we were gifted with thought. Is it time to move our feet to an introspective beat? It ain't the speakers that bump hearts, it's our hearts that make the beat." -- One of the best lines/lyrics ever written!

    also! the black hands are painted - you’ll notice his neck is painted too! simple version that he’s mentioned in interviews before that it has to do with his insecurities (throat being voice and hands being what he creates) but it’s a huge part of the lore that i’m sure you’ll start learning about soon if you haven’t yet!!

    Thank you SO MUCH for doing this! A double feature is such a wonderful treat, and really highlights how equally amazing they are live, and in the studio.
    And the black on Tyler's hands is paint. He started painting his hands and neck during the Blurryface era, to signify his insecurities with his singing (neck) and his abilities as a musician and writer (hands). It breaks my heart, that such a talent still thinks he's not enough! 😭

      @@TociReactsI know, right?! That's why he created the whole Blurryface character; He's an avatar of Tyler's insecurities and mental health struggles. There's a whole lore based around him, that they've been building over multiple albums.
      Oh, yeah: And as far as other songs with screaming, "House Of Gold" has a tiny bit, and "Goner" (Specifically the version from the Blurryface album) is a great one; it's also in the Live From The Fox Theater set, if that floats your boat. "Jumpsuit" also has some PRIMO screams, and is a stone-cold banger, but that one's part of the lore, so you might want to watch HeavyDirtySoul before that one, so you don't get lost..

If/when you start getting into the lore stuff, know that there is a whole string of videos that go along with that which the band had made a playlist for, very nice to take the guesswork out of that. I knew you’d love this one, so glad you did both. I think hearing the original helps to appreciate the lives more. He definitely leaves his lyrics open ended. This particular song was written at a time he was questioning continuing. A LOT of the music is based on his faith and he wasn’t sure if he should keep writing about god, or stick to stuff everyone can relate to (another reason for the ambiguity). The black paint on his hands and neck represent his insecurities about his writing and his voice. Plays a good part in the løre. Dude. Wait till you get to the løre!! lol I think migraine next.

    The extra long repetition of "entertainment my faith" is so good especially followed by the rap verse. It builds and builds and brings so much emotion, like a worship song.

    What you say about the open ended song meanings. He has a song called kitchen sink with actual lyrics saying “a kitchen sink to you is not a kitchen sink to me” and the sentiment of the song is exactly that. And he carries that throughout his whole discography. You’re really in tune with tøp lol

    First of all, I love long reactions with deep analysis (don't care if you pause the video!!)... even more if you are an artist who is appreciatting music, lyrics and perrformance.... second: I loved your analogy of Tyler vocals and the paintbrush!! totally agree... third: in one reaction you have figured a lot of TOP artistry!!! upbeat sound, deep/dark lyrics, two ways of listening their music, so many genres mixed to make their unique sound, the amazing vocal register and quality of Tyler's voice, the way Josh play drums: so powerful and with all his soul... I learn a lot with them.. and with your reactions too!! thanks for that!!! .....then... 15.38 you said: "does he do the screams live?😅😅.... I really wanna see what Josh does with drums"...🤣🤣Ohhh.maaan You had nooo idea!!! Welcome to the skeleton clique my bandito friend!!! ..::Hugs from Buenos Aires my friend!!! 💀👽🟦⬜🟦💖

    Toci! What a fun and inciteful reaction! I started watching this morning, but i could only get in a few minutes before work. It was so fun to watch you! Some reactors fake Bob their heads and continue without change even when the music switches up, but there's nothing fake about you! You got a real work out! So fun!!

    Another great TØP reaction. My husband ended up sitting down with me during this one and he really enjoyed watching. He’s not normally into reaction videos, but he thought it was cool seeing someone talk about why it sounds so good, the particulars with the drums especially. He doesn’t know much about music and said I just know it sounds good, but it’s cool to hear someone else explain why. 😂

    2. To see how amazing Josh Dun is, watch Paladin Straight/Bandito live from Clancy World Tour, or a live version of Morph, best video I’ve seen is Lollapalooza Argentina in 2019 I think.

    Well spent 27 minutes ❤ Nothings better than a reactor falling in love with TOP. You're doing amazing. Pause as often as you want, because that's what reaction videos about.
    If you look for more insane Josh drumming (and some nice ukulele), check out LANE BOY next.
    And for emotional screaming, please watch GONER live from the same Fox performance.
    But no matter what TOP song you go for next, you will not be disappointed.

    When I first seen the Car Radio video I thought “He should check out Holding Onto You, it’s a similar experience.”
    The thing about Tyler is that he’s admitted to unknowingly “rap” his lyrics. He wrote his music and performs in a way that he wanted to be able to cram as much of his poetry that he could.
    He recites his poetry fast, which made him rap. It blew me away that he didn’t intentionally rapped in his music.
    Truly you should check out their music from their album twenty one pilots (AKA Self Titled) the music on there is a thing of beauty and should not be overlooked if you are searching for powerful writing.

      Ooh ooh I’m watching more. Yes 9:30 Tyler has written his lyrics to have a meaning to him and the looseness that’s in them is for you to tighten.
      “A Kitchen Sink to you is not a Kitchen Sink to me”
      You should also check out Kitchen Sink just cuz I referenced it.

    Keep going in the order , next one should be “Guns for hands”. Already know you gonna love it
    And that’s not a tattoo on his hands and neck - the live show is from the blurryface era (next album after vessel)
    A bit of spoiler just to leave some intrigue for you
    Blurryface - is the main character in the next album. He represents Tyler's (singer and songwriter) insecurities , kinda Tyler's alter-ego. Tyler usually wears black paint on his hands and neck during his live shows and music videos to represent Blurryface and his own insecurities. In Tyler’s case he is not sure in his music ( hands - music instruments (the creation process he is doing with his hands) , neck - lyrics he is singing.
