This video shows you how to install a fuel pump on your 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Combustion engines need three things to operate: fuel, air, and spark. If your fuel pump isn’t delivering the fuel your engine needs, it will run poorly, or not at all. Or, the pump is fine, but your fuel gauge isn’t working. Many modern pumps include an integrated sending unit. Either way, a new engineered to fit fuel pump for TRQ is just what you need.

Looks like the fuel pump was recently done and it’s a warranty job. Since you knew there wasn’t going to be a problem with rust it made the perfect scenario to make the video. You did a fine job. These fuel pumps are relatively easy.

I neglected to disconnect the battery when I removed my fuel tank. Is that a problem now that I am about to reinstall?

Is there a fuel filter in the tank or is it part of the pump? My 2009 gmc Sierra does have a fuel filter between the tank and engine thanks why I’m asking

My gas gauge is not reading correctly and I bought just the float assembly. Is that even replaceable?

Take the 2 15bolts off the brackets then the back hoses off then the gas lines n the very top back is the fastest 10mins take down.

The assembly is designed to fit only one way. The replacement part that was $277 instead of over $1,000 at the Chevy dealer will install with the float arm rammed up against the inside of the tank because it is rotated 45 degrees wrong. You have to bend the float arm clockwise so that the gas gauge works.
Toyota trucks are selling for $12,000 all over SE Asia, and the Chinese are making electric cars for under $10k. But they are illegal to sell in the USA. The auto companies are working with the government to plunder our citizens. We do not live in a free country.
Instead of using five cent hose clamps. every hose has a different special fitting, each with a patent of its own, so that instead of a $30 part it costs at least ten times as much. There is a secret method to release each of these fittings, and two special tools are required for the job. The part has a tag indicating a scanner is required to "activate" it, along with turning the key 15 times for 3 seconds to make it prime.
There can be no question this is designed to prevent people from working on their own vehicles, and to plunder the citizens with what amounts to extortion. If you want a fuel pump, it will be more than a thousand dollars or else long days of agonizing over every single hose, every electrical fitting, every clasping mechanism, etc. I hate what this country has become.
