Tell Kev to change the master program mode to poly (in program edit, all the way to the left) if he doesn't want all the pads to cut each other off automatically after he chops, then go into program edit/pad play modes and select which pads he wants to put in mute groups. that way he can have samples still overlap. Killed me to figure this out myself lol. Dope video tho! Always an inspiration. Salute!

Working at Guitar center we had a very skilled bass player Hanna who came through & spoke highly of Kev Browns skills. He mentioned that even though he is on the MPC He has the soul of a Bass Player. He makes it seem so effortless. If I could put together a MPC band Kev Brown would be on the bass Araab on the Drums and Exile on the Keys.

I wonder what vst he uses for these type of basslines. Or does anyone know how to make a sample playable on the keyboard, without using 16levels? Because I use 16 levels with a basssample for the bassline but idk, the 16 level tune mode doesn't really sound like it are natural notes most of the time.
Sound like a damu sample but the vocal makes it not. But those first two chords with the strings before the high pitch vocal hits sound like a damu joint.

JRSWIFTZ757 he does it step by step. With the MPC you can scroll through each part of the sequence and do it piece by piece. I do the same thing.
