definitely was better with the vocal chops...also IMO most cats are too lazy with choppin perc elements from records and building new and intersting timbres for the rhythm track...jus relying on the drum packs you already like the sound of is too formulaic and limiting...that's why there is so much monotony, cause cats out the same camps all be using the same drum packs with proven and established record pedigree

Nahhh.... various people have stated in interviews that preme doesn't like people watching him in the studio. There was one interview with statik selektah and he was saying how preme wouldn't let anyone but the rappers in because he doesn't want people seeing his production techniques.I think anyone who has their own unique style wants to keep it a secret so all the basement producers don't ruin it. Same reason you can't find any videos of dilla making beats.

His style is amazing but it's not exactly that much of a secret... I just listened to like 20 of these from David Banner to Jazzy Jef to Static to 9th Wonder, even Phony PPl and I gotta say I think Large might have gotten everybody.
