Dope music and good conversation. The Kev Brown "Eddie Floyd" with Rosenberg and the Pete Rock "Love is a Battlefield" videos were the first joints I saw on TH-cam back in 05/06. Shout out to Kev for being an inspiration. When I found out you did some of my favorite joints on the "Magnificent" album(Don't You Know Your Hood), and you was from P.G, it blew my mind. Seeing dudes like you and Oddisee be respected across the globe got me really serious about doing my own music. Dope video as always Gadget.
The Brown Album was one of the only "remix projects" that truly captured the artist, but also provided a fresh new take on the original. Classic project. Much respect to Kev Brown...
I love this channel so much. Its like reading rap pages or the source in the early 90's. Its a direct outlet and sheds light on the producers we need to know about. I know you read this Gadget thank you brother and keep em coming.
MrEBRAD777 Man, I had forgotten about Rap Pages. Here in South Africa in the ‘90s, you mostly got The Source until XXL came along. Rap Pages would be available at one or two outlets where they had magazines which the major retail chain (CNA) didn’t have. The actually determined the price of the magazines by weighing them. I’m sure I still have a copy or two of Rap Pages in storage
That's true what Kev was speakin on about Jay. I think his level of influence is so impactful that he could drop one to grow on for the masses and they would take to it. We should all know by know what's really going on with him ain't trappin' & broads, its family, business deals and probably a lot more that people need to hear to elevate their own situs, instead of it being hush hush until tabloids get to put their spin on it. #Soapboxin
