I have being riding/racing for over 37 years.Over the go fast stuff now and just want a bike for fun city riding.I am going to get one later this year.Ride Safe, have fun.
UPDATE: And now, I have gotten the chance to actually SIT on one. Reminds me of a more comfortable version of my old CB300F. Very neat little bike. Again, faster than any of those 125cc bikes. I actually can see the virtue in this bike. SUPER lightweight off the kickstand. Not sure where the center of gravity for those 330 lbs are, but it must be really low! hahahaha! After many hours of reading & watching various reviews, a honest 65 MPH constant cruising speed capable. Maybe not with a passenger up a long steep hill into a headwind.................but can for sure cruse all day long with the pilot only on long flat interstate roads. Not what it was made for, I get that, but the point is it CAN do it. A Grom...........not. At 25 bhp, this bike actually WORKS.
Hey man, i’ve only ever ridden a 125 once and only got into 2nd gear. would you recommend the 200 as something to learn on and as a daily commuter once i get used to it?
@@bujubra2594 if you are looking at the KTM Duke 200, absolutely! The Yamaha TW200 is a great bike too if some off road trail riding is your thing too. But they are geared lower with a lower powered engine so expect to go slower on them. I don't pay much attention to the cubic centimeters of displacement now days with the power these new engines are putting out. The main thing to look at, the ONLY 2 numbers that actually matter, is how much does it weigh AND how much horsepower does it have. And if you plan to run 65+ MPH / 100 KPH much at all, 25 horsepower is about the bare minimum on a 300-350 lb bike.
This is the third bike in the garage. And the smallest. But it performs much like a larger bike in all respects. Don’t write this off as a starter bike only. This is a great fun bike for any seasoned mature rider
It’s 2024, just picked a 2023 up for 2499.99 Best Buy I’ve ever made. Yeah it’s not a 100+ mph bike, but for a comuter, to and from work, to appointments seeing family fantastic. Just fast enough to be trouble, not fast enough for license revoking haha. Rides like a dirt bike made for the street. It’s a fun ride (coming from a f4i rider) Duke200 👍🏻👍🏻
Just bought my 2022 duke 200 yesterday. I like the small horse power and putting around town. Eye cather all the way. Price was fantastic. Definitely going to upgrade exhaust and front headlights and turn signals. Super happy
Is it nice? I’ve heard it’s nice. The seating position is nice. It feels nice. The gauges are nice. The seat height is nice. Nice nice nice nice nice nice
Just took a test ride on one of these at KTM North Texas. What a fun machine. Very smooth engine as you mentioned. Smoother than my Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, with an excellent clutch and gear box. I am adding this bike to my list of future buys😎
Oh man, this is so cool you got your hands on this this early. Be sure & let KTM of N Texas know your viewers appreciate this early review by you. Again, I really like your opinions on all the bikes your able to to test & this feels like a great privilege to hear about it this early. Be sure to let them know we your viewers are so greatful for letting this happen so early.
Hi Joe - Pleasantly surprised about the price ! - That looks like an awesome "Starter Bike" for anyone who wants to get started - obviously for the street only, but totally agree - That bike, for the price, for a "young 'n" - you can't go wrong. Very cool of the dealer to let you have it for the weekend, and really give it a thorough test ride. Cheers Mate !
Nice, very cool little ripper. Just spending my lunch time here on the Boeing 777x factory floor watching your video. Always a pleasure. Keep it up. But please, as soon as you hear anything new about the 490 adventure or the 501 norden, please post it. Its the one im waiting for, but if ut doesnt make its appearance before April of 2021, then a tenairy...lol...700 will be in my driveway.
With all respect I liked the video overall. Your ads are way too big, that just makes it hard for me to keep watching. Respectfully, if you can make your ads smaller, I think this video would would double in views. I hope you appreciate my constructive insight. I love the review because I am purchasing the duke 200. I wanted to be respectful, as a first time rider and learning TH-cam and marketing is something else. I just prefer to see the ride without your info or the company that you requested from. Just one simple ad would be fine, unless you have a contract. For the record I loved your overall review. I'm just saying because of the adds makes me want to close your video since it takes up larger then normal size of the screen.
Under 250cc, no freeway ridin'. No 121, 360, 183, 114, 820, 161, 287 or the like. Maybe not best suited for that anyway. Would be a fine starter bike for sure though. Thank you.

@@690ADV of course you can wear what you like (though emergency surgeons may disagree). You have to admit though that a beginner watching a review by an obviously experienced rider may be influenced by what they see you doing. You not come off your bike and experience a ‘degloving’ incident (what ED people call what happens when skin hits the road) but a beginner may well as they are much more likely to have a small fall. It doesn’t matter if you fall off a Duke 1290 or a 200 at 40MPH the effect is the same.

Been debating on this and a grom. The grom around me sells for like $800-$1000 less. Is the duke worth the extra almost $1000? The fastest/busiest road I ride is an old highway with speeds of 35-55 throughout, but wouldn't mind something that could hit the highway for just a few exits nothing crazy.
