The producers knew they had a hit show right out of the gate, but that was the only reason they wanted Caruso to stay on. Otherwise, they and the others on the show did not miss his prima donna attitude and massive ego. V Comments : Detective Andy S impresses me. I think the older detectives are much more impressive than the younger ones. . His dialogues of Andy S is laughable but he knows how to tackle the perps, scumbags & how to get the answers from them & the people that these scumbags hurt are saved. I like to hear more of these third degree dialogues .
Yes, they did that, many times. A lot of performers came back to play another role completely, and they were always guest players. This gave great opportunities to upcoming actors and actresses. Most notable one was from this story arc. Charlotte Ross, she was Richardson's wife and she stole the show in the Episode 'I Don't Wanna Die'

Bobby was right about that. Further on in the series, he tried exactly what Andy insinuated he would do and crashed and burned.
One of my favorite story arcs.. Tommy Richardson was a bad guy it took time to nail him.
My favourite story arc from that season too. The guy who played Richardson, Michael Wiseman was so menacing. Probably lovely in real life.
