Paulie is an odd fellow but I really enjoy seeing behind the scenes in his eyes. The way he lifts everyone up sincerely is commendable. I think more of him now after this interview and a few others than I ever have.
Long time fan of Mr.Shore iv watched son in law and in the army now like 100 times plus many others you've been in. Happy to see that you're still in the game maybe one day I'll be able to afford to come see u live. Love talent Paulie
Met Pauly in Big Bear Ca. a while back in the parking lot Pauly is a very cool dude he took a picture with my wife and I with no hesitation thank you Pauly.
Summer 2001, I'm a technician on tour with two actors. They want to visit the Comedy Store, which I had never heard of and thought it was a literal store to buy comedy things. They were losing their minds being in front of comedy holy land. So because we wanted tickets and I was the only one calm enough, I entered the side back door which was open. As I walked down this little hallway past pictures of celebs on the wall, from the end of this hallway I hear a guy yelling at his mother, "Mom what the fuck" and out of a door pops out Paulie. His instant question was, "what are you doing here man?". So I explained the situation, and he stopped me and asked "...wait, you've never heard of this place?" After saying no, he gave me a 10 min personal tour of the place. Amazing. He then either gives me 3 tickets or tells me he'll remember me, I don't remember, but either way there's a catch: I can't tell my two actors about meeting him or the tour! He would be at the entrance greeting people, if we show up tonight and they still don't know, we get front row seats. If they thank him, back row. I didn't say shit. We get there and upon seeing Paulie, they, again, loose their minds. I'm last behind them. After they say whatever fans say, my turn passing him we simply fist bumped and he told me, "Nice job dude". Thanks Paulie, my best side story ever. They still don't know! Andrew Dice Clay ripped into us because when he asked "So, is anyone from outta town?" my actress yelled "WE'RE FROM CANADA!". Great night.
Pauly is just a pleasant soul & so smart at the same time.. I love that he helps ppl with their traumas & everything.. He could be living a super kushy life with no outside ppl to bother him.. But he actually spends his time with REAL ppl all the time.. That is the epitome of integrity in my book! Love Rogan as always.. both dudes are living legends.. Much love Texas💓💓 Edit to add, after finishing the show, that AIC with Layne Staley is my all time fave band & singer... Mad Season is so good & Layne's mom sung River of Deceit.. that was so powerful to me.. So I loved watching yall talk about my fav. music ever!!💓
Love pauly, love Joe. My favourite part of the interview is when they dive into the heroin deaths of 90's muso's. Heroin is a life choice. I also lived through the 90's, I did alot of drugs, by choice. I was never addicted, I was recreational. But, I knew blokes that chose heroin, not many of them made it, and those that did didn't live long or good lives.
I'll never forget my roommate listening to this years ago and it evolved, everything did except my standardized pandora stations. I have good music on my channel but I don't
Pauly lives in the shadow of the past. Don’t get me wrong. I was a huge fan back in the day. In high school biodome was a personal fav. Yes I know how bad it is but tell that to 16 yr old me. But the more you learn about him and listen to his stories it seems like he lives in a lot of great shadows that he was raised around. Seems like he hasn’t gotten over the past. But this is the first interview I’ve seen him in that I wasn’t thinking “oh pauly, what’s become of you?”. Hope he finds his way and breaks free.
The comedy dictatorship was out there as a conversation. sounds like Pauly Shore was saying yes I was tortured as a kid and a ROUGH upbringing. I can relate. I come from a broken home which means both parents split at very young age. Sounds healthier than Pauly's parents staying together even when they didn't want to be together. Stress induced illnesses and living unhappy but living happy through comedy. It's a tragic human thing.
This is a big deal even though we all missed it here on TH-cam when it was. People sleep on Paul's but he was a big part of the culture in my youth from 8-11 years old
1:45:05 The gag is known as a "Tribute", I believe. I met the Jake of a Blues Brothers tribute Vegas act. He said Dan was not impressed with their efforts....
Correction Pauly Mad Season was Layne Mike Mc Cready from Pj Bass player from numerous seattle went nowhere bands. And drummer from Screaming Trees. Also Shannon Hoon dies of cocaine. ok now we square on that lol.
Pauly, you look like you need some mom hugs and an "I love you son", so I'm sending them your way 🤗 ❤. Some moms just aren't built for momming the way you need mommed, so you have to figure out what her love language was, then you can be at peace ✌️
I work for an attorney who took a case to the US Supreme Court arguing against holding a mentally I’ll client indefinitely. He won. The client was able to get out. This case law has been used to allow more mentally ill people to get out. It’s a good and bad thing.
the lead singer of blind melon did die from heroin, in the back of their bus from Portland to New Orleans. I love his band said they'd find a new lead singer, except for that wasn't their lead singer, he was their friend. It's because heroin is a love, and makes everything else a like! ❤❤❤❤ Stay black!
@@RakibELShamsArifAtaAllah the rest I'm certain from the documentary, his band matey saying something about it would of been easier to identify what wasn't in his system, but his preference was H, like anyone who's done cocaine & h especially together would be totally fine, except for the part where you'll never want to do anything else, and I personally have to leave it alone both, or I don't care if I do leave it alone or not.
@@mrs.georgeglass3997 Listen I know its hurting your ego really bad to accept you are very wrong but you are and his preference wasnt "h" either! He was a poly drug user do you know what that means? He did whatever drug he could get his hands on. Don't spread misinformation mmmk.
I like Polly always have and you can tell it hurts him that the store is no longer there. So it's cool to see Joe.Welcome him and of course , he would because joe loved the Comedy store. But you could tell polly It's bombed that the store is no longer there. There or what it used to be. I understand What it feels like to be on top and then all of a sudden, just take a fall, it's not. A very good feeling, but at least Tia's.Good friends that really helps situations like that
What happened to this dude? He seems so nervous and calculating with his responses. Which is the exact opposite of his dumb, loud "persona". Just bee urself! 🐝 Did Joe Rogan slip him a Star of Death?

Should have seen him on Joey Diaz 💀
Paulie got more out joe then anyone. So genuine and beautiful, friendship uncensored. ❤❤❤
Joe Rogan podcast is therapy. Providing this for us all is a gift.
Dude get a life
facts :D
It is though, the long format, the regular full conversations that take place...def helps calm my mind down especially in the mornings
After seeing Paulie in soo many podcasts this year , I would have to say that this is the most normal , awake , and alert that I have seen him so far.

This is epic! Rogan breaking down! ❤❤❤❤ “ We are the disciples!”
Thank you for bringing up MHSA. It's a huge reason why out in CA where I am we have such a huge homelessness issue.
I mooned Pauly Shore at the airport thinking it was my friend. Ended up sitting right next to him on our flight. We literally are toddlers.
The most serious i have ever seen pauly 💪🏾💯 he actually asked joe questions i always thought about
Love Pauly, I was so excited to see this episode

Paulie is smart as hell, his memory is amazing
Joe does research and actually reads the guests books....... and THAT ladies and gentlemen is why this POD is superior!
The Weasel is an Alice in Chains fan! Respect!
You judge people's integrity based on them liking the same music as you? That's stupid.
Love Pauly Shore
thanks for getting pauly back Joe, I love hearing him and you talk. Like two old friends almost haha

Pauly has that laugh that is contagious... Knarly
Damn two episodes? Wait is there more I missed? Lol this is amazing!
I really miss him
Pauly reminds me of Richard Simmons.
Lucky Paulie Shore got into comedy and movies because the guy is far from the sharpest tool in the shed.
Had to pause this episode to watch Pig with cage. Really good movie
Joe you are a national treasure
Paulie shore is a national treasure.
Get the hell off here Paulie!
June 27th 2024 is the day Joe officially returned
Yeaaaah Another Comedycast!

How do you tell Rogan he is funny with a straight face? Jaw dropping.

Pauly is a terrible actor but somehow I love all his movies! I’m an 80s baby 🤷🏽♂️😂
He's not a terrible actor
Looking forward to seeing Nic Cage! He's my favorite! I watched a movie with him in it today! The Frozen Ground. True events story.

I thought he died last week, or was that Richard Simmons? They look the same to me.
