    No stopping in California before merging on to the interstate - it has never been a thing as it is unlawful to stop and also if you do you will cause your own accident by being rear ended. Born and began driving on my 16th birthday back in the 60s. That being said, a lot of people coming into California from out of the country have been known to stop.

    Moved from Los Angeles area to Clarksville last Summer to be closer to family and like it. My sister lives off 13 in Cunningham, I got lucky on my house because her friend was selling and moved up North. I dont live in the city limits (im on south side of the bridge heading toward Dickson), one thing is the drivers are horrible here.. they dont merge out into the intersection on a left yield turn but stay behind the limit line and end up missing the light and waiting for a dedicated green area..
    Definately better area for my son to grow up and I do like the 4 seasons, rising my atv and being able to shoot my firearms literally in my backyard and politically i have more in common here than LA..
    I plan on goin to land between the lakes when weather gets warmer to go camping take out the atvs.

    Why are the cost of homes so much less expensive near the Kentucky state line??? We've noticed you can get so much more square footage for the money. Why is that?

    • @LivingInNashvilleTennessee1
      @LivingInNashvilleTennessee1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You certainly can! More people seem to want to be closer to the city (Nashville) than an 1.5 hrs away. Demand is the reason for prices in homes. Less demand lower prices… if no need to get to Nashville regularly, desire for more rural setting, different amenities are for you then that is terrific!

    we always merge with the flow of traffic onto the freeway in california...unless it's peak hrs...then there is a stop light that lasts for 3 seconds on some on-ramps...then we can enter 1 or 2 cars at a time.

    @Mixwell1983 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just to add, in CA you do not usually stop when merging on the freeway but some areas with heavy traffic will actually have a red and green light during heavy traffic hours to control the flow. This was especially true in Los Angeles but it wasnt at every on ramp, usually just major ones.

      I guess its about perspective but coming from Los Angeles area I can say Clarksville is far from over populated BUT I do hear from the OGs that it has changed a lot in recent years so I feel you. Thats why i wanted to live across the bridge off 48 and nowhere in the actual city.. i didnt leave the city to move to another city so to speak

  • @austindavis7415
    @austindavis7415 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I live in Ca and I dont stop when merging. There are literally traffic lights at the end of the on ramps. So you use the on ramp to get up to freeway speeds, and then right before you get on, you have to come to a complete stop. Its extremely dangerous! I see people get rear ended everyday. I just blow right past the light because sometimes breaking the traffic law is better than putting myself and my family in danger.

The people seem like they couldnt give a crap and just drag their heels.. it could be demographics but the mexican workers i see in fast food in CA always seemed like hard workers and got things done without looking miserable or like you were bothering them when they had to take an order.. Needless to say I have been cooking a lot more at home because the thought of going to a fast food spot on Riverside kills my appetite.
