- One of the best-known voices in rock, Scott Stapp is reconnecting with a "Higher Power." Born during the dark and difficult isolation of quarantine, the propulsive track reflects on the singer’s own near-death experiences, acknowledges the grace by which he survived, and offers hope to others.
“Life’s mysteries can be unraveled by listening to one's inner voice. For me, that means leaning on my faith in God and listening to His voice to guide me through the struggles and darkness,” says the rocker. “For others, whether it’s through art, nature, science, family, or a combination of all, tapping into a higher power is an individualized process that requires an open mind and a willingness to flow with a force that’s greater than the individual.”
With fresh imagery and production behind his timeless sound, “Higher Power” is Stapp’s first track from his upcoming second Napalm Records album. Details about the new album will be announced soon to continue Stapp’s triumphant 2019 solo return to the top of radio and rock charts in the US and UK*.

It's like you were in my head 12 years ago when I was brought back to life after my Suicide (attempt) with this song. "One Last Breath" is also where I was for years. Man, I could NOT agree with you more! Scott Stapp's and Creed's music have spoken to me in such a deep and spiritual level that I can't even describe. Since Human Clay came out in the day before my birthday in 1999, I've always LOVED their song, "Higher". It remains, to this day, my favorite song of all time! This song hits hard for me too, as does "Higher".

I just found out about this song whenever I was listening to my local rock station 94.7 and my son who is 14 noticed instantly that it was Scott Stapp. I kinda thought it was someone else for a moment but was thinking at the same time the voice sounded familiar. I also found out after the song that CREED is going back on tour and I gotta say it's about damn time. It took longer this time than when they broke up in 2004 for them to tour back together. I really hope that they make a new album together. I first got into CREED whenever I seen The Undertakers "My Sacrifice " tribute video back in 2001. I liked CREED beforehand but CREED became my favourite band after watching the WWF now WWE desire wrestling tribute for The Undertaker..Anyways thank you Scott Stapp for all of the wonderfully amazing music that you put out. Such an insanely great song, just like every song on the new album. I heard Scott with Creed for the first time on vacation in Florida in 1998 (I'm from Germany) and was immediately a big fan.

The thing about addiction subjectively speaking, you want to feel happy, you don't want to do the things you use to enjoy doing which is depression, so you take a hit, drink or do a bump, maybe all three; After that, its not you who is in control anymore, there is a monster inside of you making you feel a certain way, making you do more drugs. I personally call that the devil. When become weak, we become low hanging fruit for the devil. God will keep us strong. but whats most effective is staying busy. If you really got it bad, work 7 days a week. whoever read this, thanks for reading I'm sharing something personal reflecting from this song.

Love it. He's really incorporating modern rock sounds. I've heard tons of bands with this sound on Octane. Its cool to see him still willing to branch out this late in his career. Super excited for the next album.
