Reminds me of when I go back there. Shopping, cooking, church. If I lived there full time I would have to find something to do. I know so many guys there that are slowly drinking themselves to death.
Thanks Ken, Great video. Certainly a great contrast from your work in Australia. Bit concerned that in Australia you are in charge of a massive B double but over there you aren't even allowed to push the trolley. Thank you for showing us your home and city. I definitely think the "Homely Hubby" is going to stick. Enjoy your break.
Lol,,, I know, just because I scraped the mirror on the wall out front and bumped a blokes arm in Mercado, I'm not allowed to drive her car anymore....
You've got everything for self-sufficiency - wood stove, water hand pump - and street vendors. It's a totally different world to high rises, supermarkets and traffic jams. Looks ideallic!
Once again another great video. Good to see you taking up woodwork, I also woodwork to relax on weekends after a week in the truck. Very relaxing. I'll look forward to seeing your workshop. Thanks for sharing your home and family with us.
Thanks Ken,loved the tour. I also had a chuckle when i saw the overhead cabling. It reminded me so much when i lived for 6 months in Bucharest ( Romania) .It amazed me to watch technicians fault finding wiring problems. Also loved all your carpentry hand tools. Looking forward to more vids from home. Cheers
Hi Ken, great video thank you ah yes the power lines I have seen those in different parts of the world they make me laugh every time can you imagine that over here in Australia OH&S would have a heart attack.👍👍👍👍
You’re a lucky man Ken with such a nice family, but you deserve it mate, you work hard enough too look after them that’s for sure. enjoy the rest of your time at home.
Thankyou for sharing with us your awesome setup Ken, what an amazing place to be able to relax, unwind and enjoy time with your family and fury friends! I hope to see your workshop up and running soon. Another great video mate, well done 👍👍
What a beautiful home that you and Joy have built together Ken! I can see why you may take on a maid into the future, that is a massive space to maintain and keep the garden looking tip-top but such a different culture to here in down under Australia mate - lol you'd probably get locked up for giving a maid a job here haha
Yes, there a little old fashion but there's also a lot of people who would jump at the opportunity....it's actually quiet normal here to have some help around the house, Joy's a little proud at moment so we'll just wait untill it all gets the better of her lol
@@thehomelesstrucky mate it is just fantastic to see that every day life - almost exactly how I imagine it would be in Phils, just friendly people everywhere. I still can't get my head around all the little rabbit warrens where all the houses are, its not all laid out like the towns here but it works over there. Look forward to the next one mate!
Hi Ken great video mate good to see you out and about with your family enjoy your break. Starting to get cold here had our first frost this morning, Gippsland Victoria . Time for us to head north to QLD for a few weeks . Cheers Michael

Kenny at 6 a week thats 300 a year maybe more if you could cut that down to just drinking water say 2 a week that would save buying 200 a year by whatever they cost each would probably pay for the tank as well as an electric pressure pump and possibly a generator to cover any black outs that may occur that could also run some lights as well if needed.
I’m just going to set up the rain water for the washing machine,… for the 9 months I’m not here, the girls aren’t going to maintain the water system nor drink the water so then we’re going to have bacterial and parasite problems when I get back ,… I understand what you’re suggesting David but the women aren’t buying it,…I’m out numbered 3 to 1 lol.
Thanks Ken For sharing you home and family with me I felt quite at home , love the wiring in the street I should imagine it would be quite a job finding a broken wire in that lot , as you said it is what is , you and the family stay safe Ken cheers mate "RB" Albury
Hi Keith Great vdo It brings back memories I was in Last Cebu in 1981 it has had some changes but the wires have not changed thanks for sharing Cheers Tim C
I’m reasonably new to your channel and I did wonder where your wife was. Makes sense now. You can tell you’re in the Philippines with the roosters crowing in the background. Nice mate. You don’t just marry a Filipina, but their family and culture. I Enjoy your videos. Cheers
You're so generous with your holiday time by showing us your beautiful lush place in Cebu, Ken, and all of your animals too, and what you would do on a typical Sunday! I haven't ever been to the Philippines, but the electricity wires remind me of Old Delhi in India.. incredible how any electricity gets through them at all! Thank you, and keep enjoying your well deserved break, and look forward to seeing more of Cebu and your place :)
Great video mate, as for the wires, I live in Thailand, same here. Been watching your homeless truckie vids for a couple of weeks now, really enjoy them while you're on the road, but now, thanks for sharing when you're at home, got my subscription, keep it going 👍👍👍👍
Thanx Ken..never boring always interesting in your easy ongoing style.I look foward to the next one..yes I remember the overhead Street wires in Asia..a spiders web but it works..good luck & keep ‘em coming..Mick
Ken, I'm sure "I have to hold the camera" went over like a lead balloon, but thank you for interesting and a different look at your life, looks like and I hope it's to your liking that it looks like a slower and more relaxing pace, take care and thankyou to you and your family!!!
Mate, thanks for taking us on a tour of your home and our chance to meet your family,it sure looks a homely atmosphere. Couldn’t see the towel lol on the line outside. I see the missus drives the prime mover over there lol ( read why in one of the comments lol ).Interesting to the girls when eating using a spoon and fork similar to the Thai,s. Loved the old church and interior. Loved the outdoor markets we should have more of that out here. Till next time mate take care😊
Enjoy watching your Videos. your home looks like a nice part of the world.. you see life out on the streets a bit of a change from Australia. I hope to visit the Philippine's someday. The house looks great. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for that. Plain and simple, that was the most uplifting thing I've seen on TH-cam since your last one. I'm 60 and PI was part of my Dad's life for nearly 40 years and the only family I'm still close to are my two PI born sisters.. So I'm tuned in to what a bloody great setup and family you have there. That's a cracking home compound! Now I know what keeps you going at 3.30am on the Newell Hwy. Best wishes, well done and thanks again. PS. What about rainwater off your roof to drink instead of paying for it?
Mate I’m loving these Philippines vids just as much if not more than the truck vlogs. Good on ya for watching the candle lighting for departed souls. Huge respect. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. I really felt like I was there. Especially driving around and going to the shops. It's a little different to Shanghai where I used to live. I look forward to the next one.
Thank you Ken for another fantastic video. Your an absolute legend mate 👍 Thanks for showing us your other life apart from Trucking. Looking forward to your next video mate👍
Thank you for sharing your family, home and life in the Philippines. It looks very peaceful and you are such a humble and peaceful person.Enjoy your 3 months and rest well. 😊
Thank you, Ken. It's amazing that a video such as this gives your viewers a look into your home life with the lovely Joyce and others. You certainly put your hard earned Aussie wages to good use at home ... congratulations. You are showing me places I'll not have the opportunity to visit, not only in Australia but also the Philippines. I feel very fortunate. 👌
wife and i really enjoyed this ken.. watching you as you take a break from lindsay and plenty of downtime and relaxing.. look forward to the next video..
Hi Ken.. I was watching another vlogger when I noticed your video had just been posted, and then I looked forward to viewing it. I have been married to my Filipina wife, from Davao City for coming up 31 years. We would pack up and head up to Davao, and out of a period of 20 years, spent 14 of them in the Philippines. However when I turned 65 she decided I was too old to live away from free medical (I am a veteran on DVA health) so she decided we would move back to Australia. We did. I have been to Cebu many times, a brother-in-law lives in Talisay Cebu, so we would visit often. We have close friends here in Hervey Bay from Mactan, I think from Cordova. Anyway, rest up, enjoy your time there and I suppose another nine months on the road until your next birthday. Cheers and g'day to Joy.
Hey mate keep it brother. Good to see how you live in Thailand. Just not sure how rusted razor wire encourages me to want to live in that district. Can u show some more recipes and maybe go to Malaysia and show about the Aussie way.
