I got the black Pro gen 7 I put integy billet aluminum scx10 transmission with steel gears an aluminum plate. Also I put a Holmes torquemaster 550 motor. This rig is a Beast.
+AMain Hobbies can't use stock plate because hole pattern is different on each transmissions but the skid plate mounting holes that mount to frame on sides is identical.
Thx for posting.been waiting for 6 months to know more.you were very clear, didnt know the pro had all alum. Shocks &real cv joints on front axle.great video. Ive had an everest for a yr. Now &only broke a c hub.it out crawls my 319.00 deadbolt.
JUST ordered a pro last night. cant wait to test it out! i have a trx4 sports kit already and have an exceed rc maxvolt 10 on the way. should make for a good comparison between the three.
AMain Hobbies I have, very surprised on the durability it hasn't broke anything yet. I think for the price it's a very good truck and also recommend it. One thing I did change was going from velcro to posts, if you flip over the cover misaligned or comes off.
The all plastic trans gears are a bad ideal, the plastic lockers are a bad ideal? With that being said, I ordered one Friday the 17th and I'm bitting at the bits for it to get here, at $203:00 it's still a grate place to start, besides I have an old Honcho in the junk yard I can use for parts 👍
Alot of videos with them on trails always seem to show the tyres rubbing against the body/splash guards (the Pro version obviously..lol) since this model has velcrove on the front.. can the body height be adjusted?
AMain Hobbies thanks for the reply.. question.. I'm on the fence between this Redcat (Pro) and the Axial Wraith Spawn (rtr not kit) please note this will be my 1st ever crawler..matter of fact.. my 1st ever scale vehicle that has all the electronics etc.. I mainly had regular trash rc cars over the years.. thanks for any advice offered..! Great video great info especially the details.. alot of rc channels these days don't cater for newbies.. thanks again for your approach.. info for all!!
Anyone know if you can swap the front axles with the pro? I snapped a dog bone and like the cva better. Also aluminum c mounts are going to be your friend Haha
Nice lookin trucks the pro is really nice with its extra fetures i will consider getin one im just not shour of the quality of red cat i never had a red cat and are theg really worth the money and everything if anyo e has any help with how good the quality of red cat feel free to let me know thanks
I bought the tr-MT8E be6s and I was literally scared cause dropping $700.00+ on an RC that didn't have a great rep a couple of years ago. It is such great truck AMAZING I HAD TO GET the gen7 black pro.Totally new setups completely different from a couple of years ago I was super surprised in the quality ground up WAY different company. I'm glad I purchased there vehicles well worth the money and beyond! Now I will NEVER hesitate to buy there stuff. THANKS NEW REDCAT!!!
Sam Rebert I have a slash 4x4 trx-4 and a scx10 and this Gen7 pro I think in my opinion I think the Gen7 is the best it has better articulation only down side is the Gen7 has plastic driveshafts and the servos are not very good quality same with the batteries I went to a venom 2s and Savox servo

These two trucks are really nice and would have been awesome if it wasn't for those big sagging enlarged balls in center of the Axles. It like, they want it to hang as low as possible where everyone else want it as high as possible to prevent hang ups.
AMain Hobbies you compare with the SCX 10, but what about the SCX 10 II? Those diffs seem unbeatable. I'm new to the hobby and I'm leaning towards the Axial, but the Redcat has an attractive price.
Robert Martin I say, if you would stretch your budget for an scx10II, get a traxxas trx4 instead. A way better and value for money truck. I know, coz I have both.
I would use the pro if it was cheaper in price but then all the models are to high in price for me to buy so I'm thinking about staying out of the hobby
It's nice to see that brand stepping up to compete with all the other scalers that are out there good job on the video
Impressive layout for a stock truck. If it proves to be durable then it will be a sure hit for it's low price.
Great video! You covered these x2 rigs very well and answered all of questions!
They are worth every penny gen7 pro's. Have two and love them!
I have the pro black, I love it. so much enjoyment and fun.
I got the black Pro gen 7 I put integy billet aluminum scx10 transmission with steel gears an aluminum plate. Also I put a Holmes torquemaster 550 motor. This rig is a Beast.
+AMain Hobbies my aluminum axial trans plate is a hair shorter but the screws suck the Little slack like no problem. works Perfect.
+AMain Hobbies can't use stock plate because hole pattern is different on each transmissions but the skid plate mounting holes that mount to frame on sides is identical.
+AMain Hobbies welcome buddy
I LOVE the Green one, Very nice..!!!
Picking up the sport version on friday! Can't wait to test it out!

Just bought a Pro. Can't wait for it to arrive.
Really nice truck. Definitely going to get one of these.
Ordered the pro from you on Wednesday( 12-6-17 ). Looking forward to trying it out.
Sure will. Keep up the good work Brett. You do a great job with the reviews!
Big fan of Redcat rtr. There prices are not over the top like other brands.
You get more bang for your buck.
I have a horizon hobby one that broke in a couple weeks after OWNING IT

This is the best review I’ve seen. Ama subscribe
Fantastic comparison video my friend, really like the both of them , great review video 👍😁👍
I'd love to own the Pro!
Well now I want the pro's for my son and I... LOL.
I like it but one thing stuck out to me on this rig is why is the pumpkins so big and wide on the axles...seems like it would snag on everything?
Red cat went hard
Love it!! How much?
Ordered the pro last night!

Wow nice truck😳
Are there differences in the transmission gears between the two models?
I would go with red cat a matter of fact I have the Redcat gen 7 sport
Is the speed just like one speed or can you choose how fast you go ?
The all plastic trans gears are a bad ideal, the plastic lockers are a bad ideal? With that being said, I ordered one Friday the 17th and I'm bitting at the bits for it to get here, at $203:00 it's still a grate place to start, besides I have an old Honcho in the junk yard I can use for parts 👍
Finally, which is better in quality and performance? because I have doubts about what should I buy? Thank you

Not keen on the non licensed truck body
What's up with those bent links
Looks good, but velcro😣
